http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm Another FA Tuna could target is Flozell Adams and Julius Jones and Im surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that Parcells drafted Pennington and as much as I hate the guy Parcells might want to bring him in.
A guy that I am surprised nobody mentioned is Mike Zimmer. I don't know how fond Tuna is of him. But, he might be on the market from Atlanta this offseason.
I like Garett a lot, and I don't think you have to have head coaching experience to succeed. One area of coaching that has been pretty poor has been our special teams. It seems like teams have done a really good job running back kicks and punts on us. I also really miss Donnie Jones, and think he is/was a better punter than Brandon Fields. Fields takes way to long to kick it and Jones seemed to "coffin corner" kicks inside the 20, unlike Fields. Look for the Tuna to clean house.
Would love Garrett here personally, was very sad when he initially left for Dallas. Both Crayton and Adams would be solid pickups in FA. Another good WR to team with Ginn and a solid LT. Though it depends if they will put Carey back at RT or if they will be happy with him at LT. If he brings in Pennington though, ugh. Id rather have another season of Lemon than one of Chad, by a long margain. Talk about one step forward and 2 steps back
I think if Parcells brings in a QB it'll be a vet so I doubt that Chad'd be coming here....we already have a young QB in Beck.Crayton and Jones could be posible tho....Adams is older tho...I'd rather have the guy from PITT. Ozzy rules!!
In a few weeks, look for these to be the headlines: "Jeff Ireland Hired as Dolphins' GM" "Tony Sparano Hired as Dolphins' Head Coach"
Nublar, rumor mongering is not quite your style...or did the Soprano's make an offer that couldn't be refused....
You know, it really doesn't take much thought or imagination to say that our new football guy will try to get people from his prior football operation. I'm still not sold on Cameron being kicked to the curb, but hey, let everyone talk.
He is also the Assistant Head Coach for the Cowboys. He also called the offensive plays during the 06' season under Parcells.
I'm with you there. Ireland would be a great hire. As far as Sparano, I'm a little in the dark on him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in South Beach.
it takes an incredible imagination to like Cam's coaching and alot of juvenile hubris to be dismissive and condescending 24/7
One, I have yet to see any substantive complaint about Cameron's coaching. When people come up with a reason besides "I don't like when he takes his timeouts," I'll be glad to hear them. Two, what exactly is condescending about my pointing out that it's common sense that Parcells may want to get some guys from Dallas to Miami? Condescension is reporting that bit of common sense as if it were somehow new information.
Tee hee, the complaints about HC Cameron's performance have went far beyond Time outs Desides. Apparently De Nile is not only a river in Egypt, it also involve Myopicy among those who will not see the problems......
If the problems are so self-evident, then they should be easily explainable. I've yet to see anyone explain them.
i have a problem wiht that b/c Parcells nevre threw down field and the reason why there offense is explosive is b/c of Garrett as TO said, parcells levaing let the team open up the offense and unleash TO more. thats the problem i have right now.
His in game coaching and clock management have been horrendous in virtually every game. This isn't debatable, even from the biggest Pollyanna's. Cleo Lemon spiking the ball on first & goal with 1:11 remaining in the 1st half yesterday was one of the dumbest things I've seen all year.
And we know that this was a Cameron call versus one of Cleo's many boneheaded acts this year because...? Personally, I think the fact that Lemon occasionally looks like a real NFL QB is indicative of Cameron's ability to coach. Talk about making chicken salad from chicken ****.
Because Cameron admitted it was his call after the game. Look, I'm not a Cameron basher. I think he's mainly a product of the talentless roster he was handed. You couldn't properly evaluate any coach under these circumstances. But to deny his obvious shortcomings is to be very off base. He has a lot to improve upon.
