Apropos of nothing, I read through Andy Cohen's 10 Questions segment with Jelani Jenkins. Usually these are pretty fluff pieces, and there's some of that in here to be sure, but his answers to questions 1, 9 and 10 were impressive to me. Especially number 10 as it relates to Randy Starks. DJ, his answer to number 1 is all you. http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/a...-Jenkins/37f1ddff-0525-4aca-8d91-ce0d4cbb49c2 Jenkins has really taken off this year and I feel like he's certainly got a long-term future in Miami based on what we're seeing this year. It's interesting to me that he's already been moved/promoted, however you want to look at it, to the guy who communicates the defense and receives the calls (the green sticker guy). He's got my award for most improved for this year. Olivier Vernon and Lamar Miller are 2 and 3, but I think we "knew" what type of talent they had coming in where as Jenkins was a bit of an unknown.
Jenkins and OV have taken up all residency in my heart. Two guys with really bright futures. Jenkins was my favorite pick from the 2013 draft and it's great to see him blossoming. Especially with the question marks we had at LB coming into the season.
Yeah Jenkins was a hell of a pick or is turning out to be a hell of a pick. I feel really good about our defense now and in the future, we'll need him and the rest of the defense against San Diego for sure.
good boy.. dude is 22 years old..lol That strip on sunday was beautiful, the full extension of the body, the cognitive skills to place his swat on the ball in the process, his ability to read his assignments and then use his excellent athleticism to explode to the spot, his coverage abilities, holy cow, we might have a real gem here boys and girls. Jenkins..Mccain..Tripp..Misi..talk about young and badass. no need to look to the draft next spring.
I know diet is huge..Ive recently gone Paleo and feel great. Though miss bread..and pancakes...and the occasional doughnut
Fixed it for you... Koa is a good player when he is on the field.. which is never.. so he is useless as far as I am concerned.
Number 1 was a real Zach Thomas kind of answer. Those were the kinds of things he did back in the day. Zach had a hyperbaric chamber and was the first player I ever heard of who did. JJ needs to get one, and then he'd be on Zach's level of commitment.
Jj needs to spend as much time as Zach did in the film room..then hed be on Zachs level of commitment.
Ok, you have a point, and perryman for that matter, but I just really like what I've seen from Misi at the mike..
love the pick love the player. also love the fact that i might get to see him on my favorite 2 teams his whole career
Liked his skillset from the start tbh As for the draft, keep in mind Odie is a FA after the yr, and Misi to me, not his fault, but feel we need a Franchise type MLB, it is one of the Dolphins traditions I miss
Well, as it relates to McKinney, he's not a natural MLB. I believe he was MSU's SAM LB but moved this year. He reminds me of K.J. Wright, but with a higher ceiling. If Miami's hellbent on keeping Dion Jordan at DE, or they get rid of him, McKinney could be a direct replacement for Wheeler. He could also replace Misi if Misi can't stay healthy. I think he's just that talented he warrants looking at.
