Brooklyn still getting acclimated to the new style under Hollins. Finally won our first with Joe Jesus going off in the 4th. Surprising thing so far is Garnett is playing like he was 30. I dont know if he can keep this up all year but the Garnett Ive seen so far is one I didnt see at all last year. No hesitation on offense. Aggressive and very effective. Should be an interesting year
Ah now there's a juicy stat. That'll be telling going forward. If Wade plays like he did last night, yeah, you're looking at quite a few distributors (3 PGs in the rotation plus McBob) and so many guys who can score from a wide variety of spots on the floor.
It's just the third game of the season lol on a back to back in a tough 4 game stand.. I expect a close game but I don't think it determines what we are.
I'd love to win every game we can this season to shut people up but I dont think this one...game three, is make or break.
We are whooping that *** though, this is a game I wanted us to win for sure to shut up people. We will lose games but at least we let others know we are still contenders.
Maybe the Heat don't win this game, but a 14 point lead with 4 minutes left in the 3rd is a good spot to be in.
I don't understand how people still bite on Wade's fakes. Has to be the first thing in every scouting report on him that is drilled into defenders' heads.
Well he was fouled anyway so worst case it would have been no basket two free throws. The foul came white gathering he just finished through.
I don't think he traveled, looked at the replay and he never got the other foot down so it was legal.
Don't like how empty the lower tier is. It's not even a late Sunday night game, don't get why people leave. Still loud though.
It still amazes me how many television and print people refused to actually do their jobs and EVALUATE the Miami Heat ex-LeBron rather than just spitting out crap about how much LeBron is going to be missed and writing them off. I mean if you'd never heard of the "Big 3" and then you saw a team put together some strong coaching (taught by Pat Riley) with Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng and Josh McRoberts, then some solid pieces like Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Chris Andersen and Shawne Williams, and finally some promising young talents like James Ennis and Shabazz Napier...what would the evaluation be? That would be considered one of the strongest teams in the conference if not the NBA period, no? That may not be a team you expect to be a shoe-in for the NBA Championship, but it's certainly a team you expect to be in the thick of it. I saw Avery Johnson the other night making a case for the Heat to end up in the Eastern Conference Finals. He was laughed off the stage by the three other analysts. I don't understand that. How do you evaluate what the Heat have in place and laugh at the idea of them appearing in the ECF?
I hope it's not the first sign that McBob is actually a diva or something. I know he's got a little bit of a sordid pass with personal fouls on the floor. He certainly looked like he took cheap shots at LeBron last year though in light of this offseason I think Heat fans probably now view that as a positive.
Interesting take. Personally, McRoberts has yet to earn my fandom. Still think that was a sorry move on the cheap shot at LeBron last year as a Bobcat.
They're still in the arena. There are really good bars with a bunch of TVs on the lower level. Oh my God. Really? This is the new Bumpgate.
The Heat appearing in the ECF isnt my first choice obviously but its far from laughable as long as Wade and Bosh are healthy. The supporting cast has to contribute and Deng in particular has to be in playoff form and healthy but to laugh it off like they couldnt beat the Cavs or Bulls is stupid. Its no secret I hate the Heat but Wade is a game changer when hes healthy. If his body allows him to, I think he can still play at an elite level in stretches and a 7 game playoff series qualifies as a stretch. IMO this should be a team both the Bulls and Cavs (in particular) want to avoid for the simple reason that theyre far more playoff tested. Anyone sleeping on them come playoff time may get slapped with an early playoff bounce.
Didn't mind his attitude so much...I like fire and understand sometimes you go a little over the top. However I don't like blaming the fabric.
