Full Melo? I guess that's code for "it didn't matter who was guarding him he was going to shoot and make it because he's awesome"
The Blazers were the best team in the league and looked unstoppable at the beggining of last season.. Reality came back and it will for Houston too.
Still, credit where credit thus far. Im not saying they are winning Finals, I am saying they are balling out.
Who the hell wrote this NBA schedule? It seems like in every game there's a team who, for scheduling reasons, has a clear advantage. Not just talking Heat here...it's a League-wide thing. Too many "schedule losses" or whatever you want to call it. Hurts competition.
Shabazz has consistently looked like the fastest player on the court so far this season. Of course that changes when hes matched against Rose Westbrook Wall and Lilliard but if he's top 15 in game speed ill take it. Kid got ridiculous handles too.
It wont be easy... mavericks are the team I picked to go to the Finals.. I can see this game being a very high scoring game. Dont expect much defense.
Wholly fack, Deng exploded tonight! Who is he abusing in Texas? I am not watching the game but looking at the score and he has 27 early in the 4th, Heat up 18.
There you go. Latter half of a back-to-back on the road against a good West opponent...taking care of business. Nice to get a night like this from Chalmers on the road. The movement on this team is impressive. High basketball IQ guys who see the floor really well. McBob, Deng, Napier, Wade all clicking and seeing everything, great feel for pace on the floor. Team had 31 assists tonight. The tempo of the offense feels really good, flowing. Bird coming back will be a boost, imo, a bit small/thin on the inside at the moment, even as Haslem gets back in the flow.
Rio was +18 tonight with 18 points. Deng with a 30 pt night, +15. Wade -7 but 20 pts. Bosh with a 20/10 night, +7, keeps it steady in cruise control. On the negative, Napier 0 pts in 26 min, and Cole 0 pts in 14 min.
Great game tonight. Bosh and Wade with double-doubles. Side note: Can someone explain how +/- system works exactly? Why does Parsons get a +9 while Wade has a -7?
It just means how your team did while on the court. +9 means the team scored 9 points more than Miami combined during the minutes Parsons played.
Whoever bet the over 4.5 come claim your prize. The longer we stay badass and the Cavs stay lame the happier this season will make me.
It's an offense Spoelstra has been developing over the past 4-5 seasons, meeting with several college programs, even met with Chip Kelly in Oregon at one point which is weird but he has said it benefited him a lot to learn tempo and the spread. When you have Lebron James though everything changes, Lebron isn't the kind of guy that is willing to be a roleplayer, he needs the ball to be effective. In this offense, everyone has an equal role in order for it to work.
It's cool that we may actually be seeing some of those concepts come to complete maturity because of LeBron's departure. I mean, you'd rather have LeBron of course, but it makes for a good and interesting narrative to compete with "Basketball is dead in Miami".
Agreed. Like I've said before...this team is more fun to watch play the game even if they aren't as good talent wise after losing Lebron.
"Is Chris Bosh even an all star anymore? I don't think he is." -Bill Simmons before the season started
He should be, but I don't think anyone is giving him enough credit as one. With LeBron on the Cavs, the Heat only get talked about when people are bashing them.
Sam Smith strikes again. It's kind of surprising how easy it is to get the NBA clickz machine humming.
Love is most likely going to opt-out either way. If he opts-out he can sign a new 5-year deal with the Cavs (or 4-year deal with anyone else) for more money. There's a chance he opts-in so that he can become a FA after next season when the new TV money has started escalating the cap. I get that he's from LA and it's bright and sunny - but hard for me to believe he's gonna turn down and extra year of guaranteed money and being on a contender to go play with that Lakers team.
