I don't see the connection with Marsellus and Butch and how their association has any relevancy to this upcoming game.

have to be aggressive against Manning, don't be afraid to blitz the guy. If you get burned, then so be it. Their Oline is struggling a bit lately to protect him. Get hits on him and keep him afraid throughout the game. If we only rush 4 and they don't get to Manning, then IMO we're toast.

December is approaching. It's time for Lazor to stop developing the QB. Fack RT! He knows what he knows. It's time to run more! I don't want to see offense favoring pass, especially not in the redzone. Smash mouth football!

Rodgers. But hes a great pocket passer too. Where i agree with DJ is running when everyone's covered or whenever the opportinity arises in a designed pass play. I think we do enough read option as it is. Just more running out of trouble would be nice to see.

We didn't win against Detroit, but they did dedicate a spy to Tanny. Maybe dedicate is too strong of a word, but it distracted that defensive player from other responsibilities. I say use him, just have to keep him safe.

rodgers is a pocket passer with escapability. They don't really design runs for him anymore

That's a still developing aspect of his game, he's still developing his ability to buy time within the pocket as well.

Its also important that our defensive backs play aggressively, force Manning to hold the ball and release the Kraken.

I think Coyle has a good read on Manning and how they are so effective, it's all about the short crossing patterns, the digs, the stop and start COD from their guys, Manning will hit these routes all day if you don't smother them, and he'll do it before you get a hand on him even if you blitz..I think your d-backs have to play closer and play good trail technique, if they let the receivers come to them in zone it's just to difficult to predict.

His arm cannot stretch us, just follow your man.

Even a late hit or two wouldn't upset me too much. Soften up the old bastard. Go Lorenzo Bromell on his ***.

As long as we don't try to get away with a three man pass rush, seems like we'll be able to pressure Manning.

Tough road game with the Broncos coming off of a loss.

I don't have a feel for it mainly b/c they have a lot of talent at rushing the passer

Tackling, especially in space, is going to be paramount in this game, IMO. Hopefully the secondary steps up *cough - Jimmy Wilson - cough*. He and Delmas need to bring it this week.

    over there
Both Defenses have a 4.7 yard per play avg which is tied for 1st in the League.
But they are giving up 22.4 pts a game to our 18.0 (4th best)

he's like Danny, gets the ball out of his hands no matter what..like Coyle said, you can have a free runner and he's still gonna get it off..need to cover man up on the short stuff.

There's no way the Chiefs continue this win streak, zero touchdowns to receivers? That's pitiful! Stop their running game & they're nothing

adam caplan on twitter says that charles clay will be a game time decision because of his ailing knee

caplan is a legit writer, but still strange since he was limited yesterday and today, but thats what he is at practice all season

Meet the Dolphins' version of Peyton Manning

DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins backup quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson gets to wiggle his hands and fingers at the line of scrimmage.

Johnson is an orchestrator calling audibles and "dummy" audibles. He is doing his best imitation of one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history.

This week Bethel-Thompson is channeling his inner Peyton Manning. The practice-squad quarterback has the important responsibility of prepping Miami’s No. 2-ranked defense for Manning and Denver's prolific offense.

"You don’t always know what he’s checking to, but you definitely have to go through the double-cadences and triple-cadences he does," Bethel-Thomason told ESPN.com’s Dolphins page. "You definitely try to mimic it as best you can for the defense."

Bethel-Thompson, 26, takes his job serious. He said he begins studying tape of opposing quarterbacks a week in advance to absorb their habits and key plays.

In recent weeks Bethel-Thompson has played Kyle Orton and Matthew Stafford in Dolphins practices. But he says mimicking Manning is his biggest challenge.

"It’s great to come out and adapt my skills to each quarterback each week," Bethel-Thompson said. "Peyton Manning has played at such a high level for such a long time that you kind of put extra pressure on yourself to perform this week to prepare the defense. I want to make sure when they do play the game that it’s not a different speed than what they saw in practice. So it’s a great challenge.

"He’s obviously known for his anticipation and his knowledge of the game. So you try to stress that. You try to emphasize those parts of your game so you can pretend and try to do it as best as you can."

Bethel-Thompson has bounced around the NFL since going undrafted in 2011. He has had active stints with the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers, and on the practice squad with the New England Patriots and Dolphins. He's embracing his current role.

Miami’s defense, which Bethel-Thompson described as "awesome," is ranked No. 2 against the pass this season, and has allowed 20 points or fewer in seven games. But Bethel-Thompson refuses to pat himself on the back for prepping the group each week.

"You never take credit for it, not even close," Bethel-Thompson said. "You’re proud and you’re happy you’re doing anything you can to help them, and that’s my job each week. I want to make the defense work as hard as possible and annoy them and piss them off because of my performance. But they’re the ones making the plays and making the interceptions."

Nick the Sea Lion from the Denver Zoo has picked the Dolphins to win.

    Nick is 7-3 so far.

Nick picked the Rams over the Broncos last week.
