I found this interesting. God job Mr Wake! http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...y-dolphins-1206-20141205-story.html?track=rss
Whew, I know it's been a long week when I agree with something Omar wrote. Good on Wake's part though. If there's one guy on this team that deserves a trip to the playoffs, it's him. Nice to see Tannehill joining in.
Everytime i read something like this it makes me shake my head thinking about people on here suggesting we should trade Wake.
only a couple that I've ever seen. They don't have a clue. Wake will play at another level on Sunday. Let's hope our fans can as well.
Way too get everyone involved Cam !! Now pay attention to Wake, Ryan...He is trying to show you how to become a leader.
The long Thursday practice is a step in the right direction. They were off on Tues, did a walk through practice on Wed and Thurs was their one practice session. Personally, I don't think it's been a long week and with all the players filling in for injuries, I don't think they've had enough practice. The hallmark of this Philbin team has been unpreparedness and no heart late in the season. The offensive penalties last week this late in the season, the missed kicks and FG, and failing to punch it in for a TD late against the Jets are not hallmarks of a team hitting their stride at the right time, but just the opposite. Philbin promised the team would get better as the season went on, we'll see. I think his job should depend on it.
Wake is the kind of player that helps build a winning culture. Trading Wake makes sense in a sell high, buy low Madden scenario, but in the real world you don't even consider it. He's the kind of player that makes those around him better. He serves as an example and a motivator on a level that a coach can't ever be on. You want those types to be Dolphins for life. You want tales of how hard they worked to linger even after they've retired. You want that drive and desire to instilled as part of "the Miami way".
The article was good but can anybody make sense of the video? What the deal with the huge chain in his locker? I understand him having keep sakes from his CFL days and stuff but I don't get the Chain.
Wake needs to call out himself too. His play against the run has been awful. Stay at home and contain.
The great start by the defense made me believe his leadership might have an impact. It turned out to be fools gold.
Well dont expect the defense not to give up points. Pretty sure if we had one or two more successful scoring drives Baltimore does not score 28. Our offense was pathetic and did no favors to the defense that was on the field way too much.
The lack of complementary football definitely hurts our defense. It was still a poor effort for the second half.
Not only his play against the run,but several times during the season he failed to get it done on many occasions when we needed a sack or QB pressure the most.
Wake took 61% of the snaps on Sunday to keep him rested. That's ugly. He has no rush move anymore. We should have moved him after last season while the value was still there.
Thankfully Wake's contract is not ridiculous. He should be fine as long as he keeps up with his nutrition and fitness, we should be able to see him play at a high level till he turns 35 and that's when he's a free agent.
Then trade him. I have to say, have never been as disappointed in a talented offensive line as I am atm. He'll never when here as long as our offensive line is not professional
How many strip sacks should he pull off in the 4th qtr? Do tell. Randy Starks went AWOL, Coyle is to big a moron to realize he is worn down or injured, what I dream about is a "must win" that we actually..you know..win..the Staff knows their players and stuff..yeah that would be good Meanwhile..welcome to draft coverage..not even mid December
