Who cares what they were ranked at the time, yet you want to use Wisconsin being ranked at 13 as a reason for OSU's big win lol

They didn't play Rutgers. They played several good and nationally ranked teams and beat them all. Your special team couldn't beat Arizona the first time. They may be better than FSU but this idea that they'll just roll over them is typical FSU hater nonsense [like the idea that they padded their record against teams like Rutgers..]. And then they'll beat Bama? Come on. Maybe I'll consider believing Oregon hype when they actually do something one day.

Meant BC (those small crappy NE schools get muddles up once you cross the Mississippi)

If by "spanked" you mean beat 7 of them by one score or less, then yes, they've been laying the wood all season :P

They sure showed Boston College and Oklahoma State what's what.......

This is the best chance they'll have to beat Bama. Lots of things going their way.

    1. Bamas D is porous. Very porous, Sucks can leverage that.

    2. Ole Nicky won't have 4 weeks to prepare for the Ducks. He'll have 9 days. I always felt the long break before the title game gave Defenses a huge advantage.

    3. Ducks almost beat Auburn in the title game, and this is a better team. Mariotta is special, he can get out of trouble and extend plays. Freeman is a brushing runner who is also quick to the edge.

Far from a guaranteed win for the ducks, but it's their chance.

After looking at what the 8 team playoff would've been I'm disappointed we won't see those matchups.

If it were to be an 8 team playoff as indicated above I would venture the following winner guess.
    Alabama
    Baylor
    TCU
    Oregon

Second round Alabama vs Oregon in the finals.
Which to my mind is the same matchup we should have this year so the first round was not necessary.:pointlol:

Caveat...I still like the 8 team playoff .Those matchups look like very interesting games.Terrific holiday watching,

Easily doable too IMO. What would be really cool is if they held them all at the same location like the Final Four and just made a huge event off of it.

They definately should have the games all at the same location each year so the fans would get a chance to travel with their respective teams to see the games and to prevent a home field advantage if possible.

Yes...it would be wild but I think that Dallas could handle it if anyone could..I again would love to see the top 8-10-12 teams make the playoffs. That would be some great football to watch.

This is the TCU team that didn't deserve to be in the final four?

Ohio State must have a horse in the committee.

Anyone still thinks TCU doesnt belong in the final 4 think again.Complete domination over a mid level SEC team. They would destroy the Buckeyes and Seminoles IMO.

I guess no matter who made it there was going to be second guessing, it's that way every year. But universally not many are disputing the final four, although TCU looked really good. But the way the system is set up they had no buisness making it in over Baylor let alone Ohio State who may very well get their butt's handed to them tonight.

Yea but that's trivial, why the hell did they have TCU over Baylor at any point after Balyor beat them HU? Silly

Tougher schedule, more top 25 wins, 2 best wins on road, won championship game 59-0, only loss came in backup QBs 2nd ever start early in year, one of the hottest teams in the country, more money, bigger name.

Every one of these factored in.

OSU lost to a piece of crap VaTech team. At home.

TCU lost by 3-points in a high scoring game on the road against a top 10 team in Baylor.

Urban Meyer must have blown somebody.

I cannot stand to see OSU in the final 4....at all...TCU or Baylor would have been better and Baylor was on the road when they beat TCU. Ole URBAN MEYER better be careful as he could face devastating burnout this next time...Just irks me because he did not need to lie, he could of told FLORIDA that his.dream job, hometown team was there for him if he wanted.

That doesnt compute.Alabama lost to Ole Miss the same team that was slaughtered by TCU .Does that make TCU better than Alabama .Maybe but the reason that TCU was rated above Baylor is because they are a better team.Even the best teams lose some close ones.

There have been plenty one loss team who have won the NC.

Wisconsin was dominated by OSU yet won against Auburn .Does that make OSU that much better than Auburn .I doubt it.The game is full of inconsistencies like that. Some teams have off days.

Quality losses over quality wins. That's been the only consistent thing in the BCS. Ask Alabama and Oklahoma state.

What's your point? We are talking Baylor vs TCU in the rankings....

And to your point you were all "TCU" after their win yesterday, so that sort of confuses me when you start claiming the game is full of inconsisties yet that game was supposed to reopen this topic?? Can't have it both ways

    By the way, Go Sparty.

I understand you guys don't like Ohio State, but even the biggest of haters conceded the right 4 teams got in...except for some Gator fans on this site who hate the fact Urban Meyer is in the playoff.

Ohio State is close to a 10 point dog, they are likely to lose...I get it...but they have a better resume than #5 Baylor and #6 TCU
