You know, I've listened to Tuna fairly closely, and he keep son saying stuff like this:

Then he also mentioned earlier his reasons "why" you shouldn't take a Rb with a high pick, and that revolves around durability.....

Tuna may not be a big Ronnie Brown Fan?

Gotta think that TUNA is sending him a message about what a HC should be good at...

The way the team responds next week will play a large role in him staying put. If he blows TO's & big play calls, then he could be seeking employment in the NCAA.

If TUNA thinks he has what it takes to take control of the team and make them click....great. I think Cam is about a 35% (Staying) & 65% (Gone)...time will tell. But look for big changes across the board. They may be the wrong moves...hell they may be the best moves. But one thing for sure...they are coming!

i know for a fact that he was'nt high on ronnie brown, i say was because i watched an interview where he literally said in his own way that ronnie was'nt the back that some of us,including myself think is top three in the nfl.
Now that being said, i too was on ronnie's butt at the beginning of the year up until a quarter way thru, i wrote a thread saying that if he did'nt show what he was made of in the upcoming game then he would be a waste of the number two pick, the time had come for ronnie to take his game to the next level. That very game is when ronnie changed into a crazed dog and started running beautifully with power like no other in the league, so my point is when bill made his remarks it was aroung the exact time that a lot of us were frustrated with ronnie, buuuuuut if he watches the film of the games after he made that remark i believe he will change his mind bigtime.

i think that bill and ronnie will be a match made in heaven, ronnie needs the personality of bill to reach his optimum level

Oh im sure he likes Ronnie.

He wouldn't have taken him in that draft though. He would have drafted Edwards.

This is what one would call a non-sequitur. While Parcells might not like to draft running backs with high picks, Ronnie Brown is not being drafted this year. That is, Parcells view on at what point a team should draft a running back has nothing to do with how much you like a running back that's been on the team for three years.

If Brown doesn't get hurt he makes the pro bowl EASILY. He was leading the league in yards from scrimmage and showed no sign of stopping. Ronnie Brown is well worth the price we payed for him. I just hope he bounces back 100%.

I would have to believe that he is canning Mueller and keeping Cam. He has given all kinds of indications that he will hire his own GM(but likely after the draft). Cam though isn't so secure if he doesn't have this team competitive next year.

This means nothing IMO ... Parcells has been known for hiding his plans to everyone and talking about the jason taylor scenario is another example IMO...

    either
1- he is saying this because he firmly believes that jason is good and that we will get a shot next year at winning (which is highly improbable if you ask me...)

    or

2- Parcells is playing mind games with GMs interested in JT , because if it were to be known that our front office wants to deal him out of Miami, we would get a much cheaper compensation than if we keep on saying this player is valuable to our team... basically bluffing people by saying we need the guy and we're not ready to get rid of him, if someone is heavily interested he'll sit down with Bill or our GM and talk buziness ...

I hope for chrissakes that parcells is playing that number 2 scenario i just evoked, because JT is very old, we need young guys, and he is still has some value

jags, ravens, pats and cards and very possible suitors ... cards may be a bit hard to do because jason wants to sign with a good team...

I remember when he said that and he was absolutely correct. It shouldn't even be controversial. You aren't top 3 anything when you get only 17 attempts per game and plenty of it is irrelevant yardage on a winless team. Top 3 backs dominate at crunch time and do it game after game, if not season after season. How does Ronnie Brown go from a 250+ pound blob who has to be motivated by Chatman's performance and his own head coach, to a top 3 RB, when there isn't even a victory in between? Let's put it this way. I'd love to bet against every bit of analysis that went into a conclusion like that. Apply it anywhere in similar fashion and I'll bet against it.

Of course, Parcells will never say things like this now. It's party line time. Not completely unlike Mark Gerragos giving one opinion of Scott Peterson and that case on CNN, then changing his tune when he took over as Peterson's attorney.

I think that keeping Taylor would do us more good than trading him. For example we traded Wes Welker for what we thought was great value but you see what he's done with NE and it makes you think we ripped off. It's only good for us if we get ample compensation for Wes Welker. If we made a ****ty pick than we got housed again but if Samson Satele ends up being a Pro Bowler than we definately got the bette r end of the deal. I will say that Wes Welker was one of the best receivers on our team last year but to see him play the way he has with NE makes me think that he could do that on our team as well.

It's now Ronnie Brown's fault that the defense couldn't hold a lead if it was coated in super glue and honey? Wow.

I thought all of the Ronnie bashing was over with after his performance this year, apparently not. Ronnie was a top 3 back and was on his way to a career year until he was injured, how quickly we forget.

Tuna may not pleased that Cam didn't start Beck so he (Tuna) could get another look at him.

If you believe the Tuna about this, you also believe he wanted to run things with the Atlanta Falcons. I think there is better than a 50% chance that JT is gone. The Phins are rebuilding and the Tuna is looking for bigger d-lineman....I think JT will be dealt for a 2nd rounder. If he does get traded hopefully it will be to a SB contender and someone in the NFC.

Parcells is an advocate of keeping rookie QBs off the field. Cameron not starting Beck is, in Parcells' eyes, a good thing.
