The only team that you root for that has any sort of class is Ohio State.
That's a first...normally its Ohio State being called "classless". And let me help you understand a few things, I never claimed me or any of my fan bases were "classy" unlike some others so if you were paying attention you would understand the context. And I'm being called a Cleveland fan and that's fine, they were undoubtedly the team I was pulling for the entire playoffs. Most of you? Were Celtic, Bulls, Hawks and Warrior fans over the past 2 months. Some will admidt it, some will not. But to try to mock me because my adopted playoff team was better than 3 out of 4 of yours is silly. By the way, I've heard the fans at Safeco field are as polite as it gets...and normally my Phins are lucky to fill half the staduim. So please leave them out of this.

I am pointing out that HEAT were not pulling for any of those teams, they were pulling against the Cavs. So no, they did not jump on anybody's bandwagon. They simply didn't want Cavs to win.

When I wanted the Heat to win in 2014 (bad timing) nobody accused me of anything. And when your team is bad, I don't think I'm the only one who takes a liking to another team in the postseason.
I wasn't the one accusing you of anything. I was simply pointing out that it's wrong to say that HEAT fans were cheering for multiple teams this playoff run, mainly cheered against the Cavs is all. Just like the whole damn country did in 2011 vs HEAT, and to a lesser extent, their entire run. 2011 was the worst though, by far.
I wonder if Miami can package something to move up a bit in the draft. Hezonja would be amazing in a heat uni and he would be marketable as hell.
The only guy anyone in the Top 5 would ask for is Hassan Whiteside, and I'm almost 95% sure he isn't available. Don't want anyone to go crazy but if Wade is so unhappy here................... then again it would have to be some sort of package, they won't trade first pick for Wade straight up, the guy is always battling with his health every season, especially on the hamstrings and knees.. and Wade would only want to play in LA or NY, he's got a no trade clause I believe. I doubt either of those teams are interested in Wade.
I would hope Whiteside is 100% off limits. Im thinking more like trading up to 6-8 in the event he's there. Justise could be there too, but i like Hezonja more. Other than that, the only way we get him is by him refusing to play for other teams. I doubt it happens, but he seems pretty narcissistic. In a good alpha way.
And if wade keeps calling pats bluff, he shouldn't be surprised if pat packages his *** for a trade up. I dont know if he has a clause in his contract however.
Eh, I wouldn't be so sure of that. Rumor is, that if Russell and Okafor are gone, the Knicks would be interested in moving back only by getting a solid contributing player in return. They certainly won't be getting an all-star. I don't know that they'd be willing to move back to 10, but they supposedly really like WCS and Kaminsky. Maybe even Payne. Again, I doubt they'd go back that far, but a guy the Heat have that seems like he'd be an excellent fit in the triangle is Josh McRoberts. Aside from the Knicks, though, moving up a few picks might not be as hard a move as you'd think if the Heat were willing to give up a McRobers, Anderson, or maybe Ennis. Hezonja or Winslow will almost certainly be there at 7, and one could likely be there at 8. I would be calling to at least see what it takes to get up there.
To me Winslow is the absolute best fit for the Heat. He's a full step up from Stanley Johnson, imo. Twitchier, more explosive, better at the rim, shot 41% from 3 (limited att.). As a slasher and in transition he handles it, passes, and finishes...all really well. Excellent vision for a wing at his age (probably part of Duke's coaching/system as well). He doesn't have Johnson's pull-up game, but he does everything else with or without the ball, and on both ends. Rumor is Denver at 7 loves him - may have to get up to 6. Though like you say, if Hezonja is also there, then it gets interesting. I haven't been this intrigued by a top 15 in a while.
Wade would waive the clause if its NY or LA ... Not for the other teams though. In my opinion though if the decision is do you want Wade or Hezonja... Ill go with the young guy at this point and take my chances that he will be a star..

I wouldn't say that. Speaking for myself. I don't hate James. I just think the man made a poor basketball decision. I don't believe he'll ever win in it all in Cleveland. I don't like the fit of this team and I think that going forward Cleveland will not attract or be able to pay enough FAs or that James will be a good enough GM to pick the right ones. "Poor basketball decision" was my primary criticism when he left (although I also didn't like how he seemed to actively attempt to sabotage and lie to Riley either). I didn't even say it was a poor decision overall. Maybe there was something personal there that was enough for him to give up his best chance to become the unquestioned GOAT. Only he can answer that. But the Cavs are the pro team I hate the most right now. I believe their owner and fan base behaved very badly and hope they find nothing but failure going forward.

I'd say I dislike James for publicizing leaving Cleveland and Miami and selling it as "going to college" and "going home" when both times it was a business decision to win, then repair his image and play with a younger core after his team got spanked by the Spurs. Plus he misled Riley to draft Napier and let him waste time and money in free agency instead of attempting to sign Melo or Gasol instead of Deng and McRoberts. I wish nothing but failure to him. He's gonna help LeBron win in Cleveland. I believe the Heat and Wade are better off separating. Wade wants to get paid and win, we want a youth movement and space and pace. LeBron came to Miami to play with Wade, now Wade'll return the favor since it's easy to do so under the circumstances. That would be nearly impossible. It's been mentioned previously in this thread, but they have two max deals in LeBron and Irving. Mozgov and Varejao have decent money being given to them, and Thompson is about to make a ton of money. Even before potentially adding Love they are at the cap.

You are oversimplifying what they would have to do by quite a bit. They may be able to offload Haywood, but even still they would not be able to pay Wade more than the MLE. LeBron, Irving, and Verajao already make up a sizable chunk of cap space. Mozgov isn't going anywhere, and they're going to have to pay Thompson around $15M. They will also likely sign Love to a max deal. Where do they fit more than the MLE in there? I'm not a cap expert, but I know others on this site are well-versed in it. Could someone with better knowledge on this explain it better for me?
It's as simple as dumping expiring contracts to make space for Wade, including Love, who was EASILY replaced by a better fit in Thompson. Mozgov is NOT a lock to return if Wade can be had. If you count up LJ, Irving and Varejao, that's approximately $45 million. If Wade can be had, you better believe LJ will hold off on opting out for more cash. I'm not sure what you mean about Bird Rights and player options because those would have to come from players currently on your team and would still eat into the cap space, and I'd love a cap guy to weigh in on this, but assuming this is possible and that's what they do, a team of LeBron, Wade, Irving, Verajao, Thompson, one MLE player and a roster full of players making the minimum is going to be a consistent finals contender? I don't think so. Also, letting Mozgov go would be asinine. He was the best pickup that team made after they got LeBron and transformed that team into one that could compete defensively.
That roster sounds like what we had in 2011, actually. Remember Bibby, Pittman, Anthony and all those scrubs? Mozgov and Wade play different positions and mean very different things to the Cavs. Wade is a very good player, but Irving gives you a lot of what Wade does. You lose Mozgov and your defense all of a sudden becomes swiss cheese. And again, this is going off of the notion that the Cavs can somehow dump all of these guys they currently have signed, without taking money back. That's not going to happen. Freeing up significant space to sign Wade is very unlikely. If Wade wants to play for the MLE, that's his decision. But he won't get anything near what the Heat are offering him, let alone what he thinks they should be paying him.

That Dragic offer is less than the max and less than the max that can be offered by outside teams. That's not going to get it done. Though it's probably close to his actual value
Kinda blown away they offered him that. He leaves and they're screwed. With cap exploding it's not a bad contract. Just can't believe they'd risk making him mad when the teams he demanded when traded (NY/LA) can both offer max deals. He doesn't strike me as someone who is going to give a discount. Just really really surprised Heat would take risk of making insulting offer.
