The cards are lining up for us to take this division. How many key injuries is this now for them, including suspensions?
Some choice comments from jets fans: http://thejetsblog.com/nyjets/geno-smith-out-6-10-weeks-after-altercation-in-locker-room/#comments -What did I do so wrong to be cursed a Jet fan? Was I Hitler in past life? -Wouldn't have happened to Tebow. -From Sheldon richarson acting up to now geno. Rex may be gone but this team still feels like a circus -wait, this is real?
Poor guy got cut even though he actually improved the Jets by doing so....it's time for Fitzmagic lol
Ikabod Crane's NFL career may already be over. You're a 6th round pick with 40 career snaps. And you just knocked your starting QB out for 2-3 months with a sucker punch.
Philbin needs to sit his team down after today's fight and yesterday's and remind them of the big picture Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agree. This is beyond x's and o's. But the reason I said that is because there have been quite a few fights in the last few days. Just a reminder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Obviously you are joking. Because the last time the Jets played the Dolphins in late December, Smith was 20-25 for 358 yards, three passing TD's and no interceptions. While Smith might suck against the other teams in the NFL, he seems to play much better against the Dolphins. I like our chances against the Jets more with Fitzpatrick as their starting QB.
Only in Miami though, Smith sucks against us when he plays in New Jersey too. Our home game against the Jets is in England this year as well, so injury aside Smith wasn't going to get that chance.
Priceless. Wonder if the NFL hires Ted Wells to investigate this locker room incident too. Would really love to know what happened between these two in order to prompt the punch to the face.
The Dolphins defense was a trainwreck at the end of last year, they could have had a 12 year old and he wouldn't have put up the numbers Smith did.... Carib is right, this only helps the Jets, Smith SUCKS and the quicker they realize he isn't a QB and release him to look for a successor the better off they will be.... The Jets got better at QB today..
I think Cris Carter is absolutely correct in pointing out that this probably is a negative reflection on Geno Smith as a leader in the locker room (and as the starting quarterback, you're supposed to be a leader). You're up in a big linebacker's face, waving your finger at him and not getting out of his face after he told you to get out of his face...what is that? You're the starting quarterback and you're acting like a punk.
If y'all want a good laugh head over to the Jet Nation message board. Them cheering for injuries and hoping this is the like the moment Testaverde took over for Glenn Foley is hilarious (btw they talk about Vinny like we do Marino, kinda sad).
To be fair, we don't know the whole story yet. And I cannot wait to find out the what really happened. I bet it's going to be legendary. Like Geno cheated in checkers or something.
Got in an argument with IK and then put his finger on IK's face and IK pretty much had a natural reaction any guy would have if another man pushes/puts their finger on your face..
small sample size aside what about his other late games against the phins week 13? The same year he went: 7/13 for 65 yards no touchdowns 1 int. previous year week 17: 17/27 for 190 yards zero tds or ints week 13: 4/10 for 29 yards zero tds 1 int. You have no pattern here. You have one game. lol
Geno played well the last 6 games or so. Very well the last 4 games. Fitzy also played well last year. Let's hope the Jets dysfunction carries over. Losing Smith may/may not hurt but adding Marshall is interesting. We'll see when the whistle blows.
