well Philbin has proven that when you practice well, you will play and he is raving about him all week at practice
No, have you? Did you see the pursuit angles from the D last game? Completely unpolished and their tackling was a joke. Listen the Fins are written into my DNA. I was on the 30 yard line during the 17-0 Season. Philbin is a joke of a coach and he could be gone as early as mid-season. Tannehill hasn't proven that he can pass in more than one dimension. He's weak in the long ball and has problems in the flats. He's brilliant over the middle, but then who wouldn't be tossing it to Landry. I'm new here and I'm not looking for an argument. You think my opinions are crap, state that. But don't attack me personally. I like our owner, our front office is the absolute best in the business! The offensive line is coming along and I can live with Tannehill, hoping he'll get to that next level. If he does I'll post it here so you can see me eat my words. Philbin is a disaster and if Ross is not looking intensively for his replacement he's not the businessman I imagine.
actually from barry jack's latest piece, maybe its not all that bad, but damn the jaguars are banged up at important positions, Luke Joeckel is also questionable, also Odrick who is moved back to a DE in Jacksonville will go against Branden Albert there are more nuggets in here http://miamiherald.typepad.com/spor...phins-chatter-panthers.html#storylink=addthis
The Dolphins lucked out by getting two of the weak sisters to begin the season. They should be able to go into Jag stadium and pull out another win. It will probably be a close game through three quarters, but the Dolphins should be able to secure the victory in the fourth quarter and win the game 20-10. Next week the tough games start, so it is imperative the Dolphins win this week and jump out to a 2-0 start to the season.
Let's hope so, Parker can bring a new element to this offense and is more of a threat to make a big play over someone like Jennings, who is reliable but isn't a big mismatch. Jennings would have a big role on this team if we didn't already have Landry to catch those short passes and make a guy miss. Parker needs to be in the game for red zone offense if nothing else. He and Cameron are our 2 biggest mismatches down there. Our 2 biggest upgrades imo is replacing Clay with Cameron and Hartline with Parker. Dolphins need to win this game convincingly.
The Bills will be a tough match up for us but the Jets should be a game we win. Should being the key word. I watched their game twice on nfl recap and they weren't inpressive. Their front 4 was non existent in the pass rush, constantly bringing blitzes. The Browns went right down the field on their first possession before fumbling on the 1 and getting their starting qb hurt. They caught some big breaks in that game. Fitz had an interception that actually resulted in a 30+ yard gain after Marshall outright stole the ball from the defender. Dolphins are better than the Jets. How that translates to the game, in London no less is anybodys guess tho
Something I was thinking of in regards to Jax is that not only are they likely to be without some of their best players for this game against us (which is good), but those players also aren't on IR, and are going to be the bulk of their inactive list this week. That will mean that the Jags will have 6-7 players who would normally not dress active for them on Sunday. Now, the guys who are injured play a variety of positions, so their injuries themselves wouldn't necessarily leave the team barren at any given spot, however looking at the rest of the Jags roster, they'll likely be forced to overload at a few other spots due to those simply being the players that they have active, and making a handful of guys who are active on Sunday essentially worthless, such as a 4th RB, or a 3rd TE (who's the 4th stringer, with Thomas' injury).
Last week I put $100 each on the Dolphins and the Bengals to cover the spread and won both. Dare I bet us again giving up 6?
He left practice Wednesdy. DNP's both Thursday & Friday, so he's out. If we were a smart team, we'd be running the ball to the left all game long with Branch/Marks both out. Won't hold my breath over it though. http://www.jaguars.com/team/injury-report.html
After last week's anemic showing, if we don't win against Jacksonville and win BIG I think I'm going to be concerned about the post season already. Win the games you're supposed to win and a few of the games you're not supposed to...the BASIC philosophy in having a successful season, but when you limp by a team as weak as Washington? We need to show everyone last week was indeed first week jitters..over-confidence against a much weaker opponent. Miami needs to rout Jacksonville; knock their ***** in the dirt: Two TD passes from Tannehill; two rushing TD's from Miller and two pick 6's from the defense. Miami needs to win decisively against this weak team 45-10...and there's NO reason why we can't.

It's too easy and frankly a little lazy to put all the blames on Philbin. He's a mediocre coach and to say otherwise means you're just not objectively looking at the rest of the NFL coaches. The problem resides in his persistence to retain Kevin Coyle as his Coordinator. If Philbin and the front office were to replace Coyle with a Def Coordinator who actually had a vision to attack opposing offenses that had a little creativity, then Philbin would come across as an above average coach.
The dolphins havent shown anything the last 81 regular season games to suggest they will be beating teams to the ground.
that's not really true. Last season, they at least showed more than 1 or 2 games where they won by a larger margin. There are at least 8 games the last 3 seasons we won by at least 2 TDs and another 1/2 dozen where we won by 13 points. We are no where close to dominant, but our offense is getting better. 2014 vs New England 33-20 2014 vs Raiders: 38-14 2014 vs San Diego: 35-0 2014 vs Buffalo: 20-9
We also beat the Bears and Jagaurs last year by 13 and 14 points. 6 of our 8 wins last year were by double digit margins.
Their defensive line should be a great test for where our offensive line is right now. We had a grinding game against them last year and I expect the same this year. The key will be if Bortles game last week was indicative of how he'll play this year. If he sucks again this year we should win 20-7, pulling away in the second half. If last week was a fluke, dolphins 20-17. Their receivers will be a challenge for our secondary, so hopefully bortles inaccuracy remains at least another week
I hope to see copious amounts of dolphin fans in that stadium helping getting this team up for the game.. scouting report on the jags.. If Marquise lee plays he instantly becomes their best receiver, Allen robinson and Hurns were just terrible in last weeks game, displaying shady hands.. Paul Puz is their best defender with Marks and Cyprien out, if we can figure out ways for Pounce to get to the 2nd level lamar should have a big game.. Bortles shows real good mobility as we all know, but loses accuracy the deeper he goes with the routes... just get the fu$$ after this team and stop overthinking, move ryan early and often...pressure, relentlessness.
THAT is awesome. Keep in mind, the way the league works is a Qb can play 12-15 yrs, so they focus on them, to much, the league ignores a Rb who plays 7-10 yrs but can carry a team during that span IE, the position is undervalued
