I think it's pretty apparent that Miami has talent; a lot of it. But they have one of the poorest, if not the poorest, coaching staffs in the entire NFL when it comes to evaluating players vs. players and how to use those players correctly. Joe Philbin is a net nothing; Lazor can't call plays well, but has a sound scheme; Coyle is just amazingly bad, but has Rain Man like ability at times. I predicted 9-7, and I think that will hold pretty true. Though, if Miami's sitting at 1-3 at the bye, you have to wonder if Philbin still has a job come the Titans game.
No depth, coaching staff hasn't learned anything from last year, defense is overrated. Dolphins a sleeper playoff team? Maybe in the Arena Football League. What sleeper playoff team loses to the Jaguars and needs a late punt return TD to beat Washington? Of course it is way too early for anything, but let's be real... Same. Old. Dolphins. Philbin is not coaching any team to a deep playoff run. Don't need a bunch of games to tell you that. Might as well print those AFC East champs shirts for the Patriots now. Get it started early.
I totally AGREE. His play was totally Ridiculous when the game was on the line. Excellent before then.
LOL the schedule makers handed us 2-0 to start this season and we said no thanks. We made Bortles look like a Pro Bowler.
lol 40 seconds left, no timeouts, and we needed 40 yards for a 52+ yard fg. Pay attention, it's you, and your expectations that are ridiculous.
Dude they don't have talent. We got a guy named Aikens at free safety. Our starting corner is McCain and Taylor is a bust. Linebackers are garbage save for Jenkins. The offensive line is the worst in the league. Our receivers are a huge let down. What has Stills or Jennings done? This team needs a total make over.
If you think I'm happy at being right you'd be very wrong. Philbin has to go. You can't win with a pencil pushing idiot running a football team. Tannehill doesn't have a long ball and can't hit the flats in a dependable manner.
It's honorable to defend your fellow. There was also the drive before that and the drive before that...you know, we last scored opening drive of second half.
I don't get people complaining about the final drive. That was a long shot. What about the complete lack of protection on the previous drives? What about no running game? What about the defense that gives up 20 first half points to one of the worst teams in the league? They can't force a single turnover and when they finally get a sack it's negated by a penalty. As usual we can thank coaching for what's going to be another LONG season. **** these guys I said i wasn't going to let them ruin any of my weekends anymore....
Miller is a solid back. The run plays we use and the play calling are awful. Not a single straight line run play from under center. Everything is a pitch, a sweep, a delay out of the shotgun.
Tannehill is the only bright spot on this team but without an O-Line his talents are wasted. Similar to Andrew Luck
I hate to say it, but I really don't even give a ****. Thus stupid team isn't worth my emotional energy Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Real contenders don't often lose to sorry teams like the Jags. The Pats could play that team a hundred times and wouldn't lose once. It's coaching, ours sucks a big one. We see the same crap we've been seeing for years.
This lose is attribuable to both lines Playing like donkeys and the worst coaching staff ever in the histoire of the game
Don't forget that idiot Vernon's penalty that handed them the winning FG. I would bench his *** next week.
We played safe on defense instead of making Bortles uncomfortable. Obviously our Dline is beyond overrated and got zero pressure, yet we refused to blitz. We play off the receivers 90% of the time giving them cheap yardage and it pisses me off. We played inside a 10 yard box on offense and gave the Jags no reason to respect us downfield. I was a big Lazor fan, now I'm on the fence. This team runs the same predictable scheme against every opponent. The Jags out coached this sorry *** Dolphins staff. Im sick over this not only because we lost to the Jags, but I have lost ALL faith in our coaches. They have no balls.
Only guys worth keeping. Note I don't put Wake or Grimes on this list because they are near retirement. Offense Jordan Cameron Tannehill Landry Parker Defense Reshad Jones Suh Jenkins
Oh, you mean the drive where Jason Fox decided placing his hand gently on someone was his effort at blocking several times? Give me a break. Again, pay attention to what's actually going on. We're done here. I'm not wasting my time when you're clearly just being ridiculous.
Final drive was part of it. Throwing the ball 10 yards into the middle of the field was really, really a piss poor decision. Work the sidelines and if they aren't there throw it away. It's not rocket-science, it's common sense football.
by week 5 the defense and oline need to be playing a lot better or I fire everyone if im the owner. coaches and gm. no excuse not having an improved oline. everyone knew that was our biggest need and we did nothing to address it. we draft a wr in the 1st rd instead of a offensive lineman or pass rusher, we let collins sign with dallas and we do nothing to get mathis here. apparently the offseason plan was to just get wrs and a DT. Major scheme changes need to take place next week and maybe some personnel shuffling
