So players do worse in miami's system under miami's coaches? The pattern is beyond disturbing at this point.
(Edit: This was supposed to be in response to Dupree's post. Stupid me trying to post from my phone. I'm a stone-ager!) I hear ya. But if Miami can find a way to gut out a win here versus Buffalo and then in London over the Jets... they somehow get to 3-1, 2-0 in the division... I think the wind might start blowing again. I've been so depressed this week, and a loss against the Bills will take me into Flush the Season mode. But a win, and the Dolphins know how to raise your hopes before the ultimate heartbreak, but a win, and my hope-a-meter will be on the rise. For whatever reason the Dolphins are the one thing in life that fool me once, fool me twice, fool me thirteen times, it's still okay and somehow I still believe.
In honor of Yogi Berra, I'm making a prediction. We win this. Unless we don't. And that's truly how I feel lol.
Coyle needs to stop making this D-line slanting and getting to spots so others can make plays, he needs to tell them to beat their men and just get upfield, eyes up, watch the ball...he's outscheming himself and the players are being put out of position because of it.
Exactly, this slanting crap just sucks. I noticed in the 2nd half of Jags game Suh started doing it less. I would like it to be gone. That and 10 yard cushions. Teams come in planning to throw fast. 4 yards off. Perfect balance, not 10, not 7, not even off ball coverage. 4 yards off, takes away quick passes and covers the flat.
I might have grown up really disliking the Phins, I might still... But as of right now, I believe we have the same enemy at hand. The Patriots make me sick, everything about them. Not to mention Gronk, one of there superstars is from Buffalo NY. We actually played him in basketball and football in high school (beat them in state sectionals in B Ball) . I really wanted him on the bills, but as a Patriot... blahhhh. And the Fact that the Jets are 2-0 makes Rex look bad IMO. Even though I think the 10 Turnovers are a fluke. I still believe Indy, as bad as they played... still should have beat them. But Shooting themselves in the foot 2 times before that wasn't enough... I'm a betting man, and the way the season has gone already, I might wait a few weeks before I touch some games again. Miami, Ravens, Saints, Indy all killed me last week... I am still in disbelief. And the person who said the final 10 games look easier than they did at the beginning of the season for you, I agree for a few games. Too bad we don't get all the breaks like the Pats. They get Dallas with out Romo and Dez.
Idk how we're going to overcome not having Albert. I'd think the smart thing to do is utilize the short game and lots of dump-offs to deal w the pressure but that'd make too much sense.
I picked the Dolphins to win the first 2 games, so my prediction record so far is the same as the Dolphins. While I expect them to play better this week early in the game then they played the past two weeks. I just think playing without Albert and the running game of the Bills is just too much for the Dolphins to pull out a win this Sunday. Bills 24-Dolphins 13
I have the Bills over the Fins 24-10. No Philbin won't get fired this week, but it's the week ALL THE PAPERS start calling for his exit papers. Tannehill is going to be playing hide the ball all day and Suh will lose it on the sidelines.
I think Miami's defense finally gets it going early and Taylor will struggle. I'm thinking 26-17 Miami. Special teams will be huge in this game.
Will Stoneburner be a factor in this game? I know we don't have much tape on him but if the guy can get himself in space, Tanny will surely find him.
I doubt they even give Gray the chance to be a spark. Would anyone be surprised at this point if Gray were inactive on game day, the way these guys make decisions? At this point I would not forecast more than 5 carries for Gray unless Miller tries to play but quickly discovers he can't.
with miller questionable, after what they've seen thus far from our backs and line, you would think having a big back whos a downhill runner makes sense..like I said in another thread, the decision to play him for me is based on what weve seen from all parties history, and understanding that football performance can sway when certain dynamics inserted into the equation...and im not the biggest gray fan, just think there might be something there that we certaily dont have.
