Dalton sucks, bro. He's not on Ryan's level... sorry to break it to you.

Tannehill and Dalton are in the exact same class in my opinion.

Jcs, you're starting down the rabbit hole.

I'll catch you up to speed, there are a bunch on here that briefcase Tannehill to be average AT BEST. Some of then will try to convince you that they don't believe that, but watch when the offense struggles, and you'll see their true colors. Lol

People hate the Alex Smith comp, but to me it's by far the most accurate. Tannehill throws a ton more passes, but in terms of tendencies, eyeball test, and per-pass efficiency...they're very similar. 65-66 comp percentage, 6.9-7ypa, TD every 22-26 throws, don't turn it over much.

How can anybody who knows any little bit about football think the QB is the problem??? Worst O line in the NFL. Nobody can be successful in those conditions. You just hope he survives every game.

That's a good point, and despite playing poorly for three consecutive playoff appearances, he does seem to have his team off to a great start...possibly poised to make another run. We'll see, maybe Dalton is improved this year.

He definitely looks different this year. Mostly due to AJ Green. He can't be covered.

If you look at volume stats like that, sure. Like I said, Tannehill throws a lot more because of the offenses and pieces they each have. He had 130 more pass attempts than Smith last year...he had BETTER throw for more yards and TDs.

But look past that and their efficiency and style of play and decision-making is very similar.

Ha!! Give me a break. First of all sonny, stats in and of themselves won't give you the whole picture. However, I won't get into that endless, futile argument for like the millionth time. So......

How about the fact that Dalton has had better stats in every season other than 2014, including 2015? Or is 2014 the only season that counts in your world?

Perfect example of stats being a poor measuring stick....Dalton has much better career stats and career credentials....yet other than a deep ball, Andy does nothing better than Tanny.

That's right! Dalton has had that team in the playoffs all four of the years he's been there. Even with AJ Green injured last season, he still managed to lead them there.

Ummm...Tannehill also threw for 3k+ yards in each of his first three seasons...and he and Dalton have almost the same yards this season. Lol

Right. But that thing wasn't accurate. It said Dalton was one of 5...but didn't list Tannehill as one also.

There should really only be 2 tiers.
    1. Good enough to win a SB (considering all the new nfl rules)
    2. Not good enough to win a SB

IMO he is not in tier 1 and we are wasting time on him. He is just an average QB and you can not win in the playoffs with average QB play.

Wow .... where did you learn math?

67 INT's = 13.4 INT's per season for Dalton. But we're not even done with a quarter of 2015, so it would be unfair to even report it right now.

16.5. Time to go back to school.

Whether or not he's better than Dalton/Alex Smith, the fact he's being argued down there is an indictment itself.

I do see an improvement when he is in the pocket. I'd like to see him out of the pocket more, buy some time.

At best, he's a bottom tier qb. No touch passes in his repertoire, refuses to stop staring down WRs, can't see entire field, has a slow wind-up delivery(after patting the ball-which is extremely helpful to defenders) and has very poor anticipation (WRs out of breaks & blitz recognition).
