So I know it's early to start talking about next Sunday, but I think these are special circumstances. The Dolphins are 0-7 against them all time dating back to the 2003. 3 of those 7 losses were home games. Is this the year the curse finally gets broken? I feel like this team just built up a lot of momentum.
This could be the year. We need another performance like we had yesterday. They don't have a good record, but do have the pieces to a good team.
The whole season depends on this game, it's an absolute must win based on our remaining schedule. How appropriate it's against these f**** lol. Still can't believe we let Schaub walk in on that 4th and goal smdh.
I just hope Clowney doesn't play this Sunday, he missed yesterday's game with an ankle.. People make fun of him but make no mistake he's a talent and a threat next to Watt.. I rather just focus on taming Watt than having to deal with Clowney too.. got to go with the same gameplan, don't abandon the run. Defensively I think the focus should be on Foster... I can live with Hoyer trying to beat us with his arm.. but we can't let Foster start rolling.. He's like Matt Forte, a dual threat catching and rushing.. got to lock him down and pay extra attention to Hopkins as well..
If Hopkins is allowed to do what Allen Robinson did, it's going to be a long day. We're going to need Albert to play great as well. Luckily Hoyer isn't a world-beater so if our line can pressure him, we'll have a good chance. Definitely going to have to limit the ability of Brice McCain to run stride for stride with a receiver then make no attempt to break up the pass.
I disagree about focusing on just Foster. He hasn't done anything since returning from his injury and is probably still a little banged up. If we don't put our entire focus on Hopkins, he's going to kill our secondary. Just like he's been doing to every other secondary he's faced this season.
Man, I'm still bitter about that game in '08. Ahhhh that Wildcat play where Ronnie took the snap and tossed it to Pennington who through it deep for a TD? WHAT A PLAY!
I don't think that the Texans can match us on intensity levels, so I think it's another convincing win for the boys in aqua.
Or anyone actually funny for that matter... What's Joe Philbin doing these days? He's got to be funnier than the regular guy.
Tough matchup, now that Arian Foster is back. We don't have anyone who can stay with DeAndre Hopkins ..... that guy is a Larry Fitzgerald clone. Should be a good one though.
Hopkins leads the league by a wide margin in yards. Pretty much unstoppable right now. Hoyer has 7 TDs vs 1 INT in the last three games. Another poster stated that Clowney is back? J.J. Watt is still J.J. Watt. Has 5 passes defended this year (going to assume most, if not all, are batted). I usually do not "hate" teams, but I HATE the Texans. Kick. Their. Asses.
The Texans are like a bowl full of crap that a plunger will not work, you need a sledgehammer to pound it down for good. ~
Don't know how to feel coming into this game... Going into the Titans game I thought we'd handle business, not as thoroughly as we did but I thought we'd win. This Texans team has some pieces in place. Wouldn't surprise me if we won, wouldn't surprise me if we lost to tell the truth.
Clowney was inactive versus Jacksonville last week due to an ankle injury he suffered in week 5. He might be out this week too if Miami is lucky.
You guys will win. Miami is alot better team then their record. Colin Cowherd doesnt seem to think so and I get sick of listening to him rip the Dolphins.
To me Houston is a pretty talented team with crap at QB and HC. Probably the worst-coached team in the League, imo from what I've seen. They've underachieved relative to expectations thusfar...but there were expectations for a reason. They have the talent to play quality football, especially on defense. I think we'll be fine so long as we contain Foster in the passing game. They're pretty banged up on defense, it looks like (Clowney, Kareem Jackson, B McKinney). With a team like this I think it's important to get ahead early, fwiw. I'm just hoping to see us play with the same intensity and edge in week 2 of Campbell's show here.
In Miami. They've been way worse than they are now and still beat us 7 times in a row. That's the only reason the Texans scare me. lol. Also, they have a hot QB coming in and our secondary is suspect(Save Grimes, Jones.) The DL will have to go to work again and wreak havoc in the back field to keep them off the field. Hopefully that is the unit Campbell is spending the most time with, because that is our bread & butter. We can win or lose a game based on how our DL performs.
