The Official What was the last movie you saw??

Watched "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "Wanted" today.

"Journey" was adequately amusing ... some nice eye candy. "Wanted" was great fun.

 

I Know Who Killed Me- this movie, it was terrible

 

The Kingdom. Outstanding movie.

I'm just speaking to whether or not the movie was a complete waste of time or not.

'In Bruges' - Have to say this is one of the best Black Comedy's I have seen in a LONG time. Who knew Colin Farrell had the ability to be funny? It also has a midget in it. Ralph Fiennes is also very good in a limited role... Did I mention there were midget jokes?

 

Oh, I do, Opie. I do.

 

I didn't know that Farrell was black.

 

No but he is Irish. They are the blacks of Europe. (So Im told )

 

Best Buy has $5 DVDs again, which means it's time for me to pick up some movies I otherwise wouldn't bother with.

First movie we watched was Idiocracy starring Luke Wilson, which I somehow had overlooked until this point in time. Funny little movie, probably not for everyone. 4.5 out of 5. Brawndo. It's got what plants crave.

Next up was Bottle Rocket, also with Luke Wilson (and Owen Wilson), Wes Anderson's first feature debut. Pretty decent little movie, all the characters were odd enough. I liked it quite a bit, actually. 4 out of 5 stars, but if you're thinking about picking it up I would wait on the just-announced Criterion edition.

Last movie was Grandma's Boy, a stoner comedy about video games. Although I didn't really like the lead actor all that much, the film was pretty funny, and stupidly entertaining. 3.5 stars out of 5. Probably a movie to watch on a Friday night with a bunch of friends.

 

Goldfinger - Sean Connery rocks! Good movie for its time.

 

Good movie period.

Harold & Kumar Escape- Funny Movie

 

Mummy III. Do not waste your money on this flick. It was terrible from the beginning til the end. Its boring, the directing is choppy, and the replacement actress for the main woman character is terrible. Some of it was entertaining, but I found myself hating alot more than I found myself liking.

 

Got to see "Swing Vote" with Kevin Costner (who else?) Friday night.
It was really good.

 

i recently watched grandmas boy as well and couldn't agree more about the lead actor..is that vince vaughn's younge brother? he sure reminds me of a poor mans vaughn but the supporting cast was good enough to carry him to a really funny movie. but it seemed they run out of story a third of the movie in and they just kinda adlibbed to tie things up.

latest movie i saw was batman dk and was really impressed. saw it with friends and it wasn't my choice of movie but im glad i went. the guy playing 2face did a much better job than the last guy.

I finally saw Hancock (put the screener on my PS3) - very disappointed as Will Smith is a favorite.

I was sent back in time to beat Sheriff of Nottingham, that explains my American accent!

 

What? Choppy directing from the guy that did the Fast and the Furious and XXX? Nah ...

 

Shoot 'Em Up. That movie is fun as hell!

 

Yeh but the action scenes and the stunts took away from the lack of directing in those flix. In this one the bar was already set high by the first couple so its expected to have action scenes etc.

 

Save your money friend....

I was sorry to see that Racheal Weisz was replaced. Actually, I was bummed she got a nose and teat job inbetween one and two.. now they let her go altogether... bummer. I kinna liked the librarian thing she had going on... librarian gone wild so to speak...

oh, the last movie was this early am because my back was keeping me awake.. The Blue Max, it still stunk, Predator is on now.. the ending..

 

Whats sad now is movies are close to 10 bucks for prime time, so it almost makes you want to wait for all of them to come on TNT.The only reason I went and saw it was because Roger Ebert said it was the best of the series.....I dont think he saw the other two....

 

Harold and Kumar - Guantanamo Bay. 7/10. The George Bush scene was hilarious.

 

I watched "Deathwatch" on FEARnet last night. Pretty decent, obscure little horror film.

I've been watching Predator. What a badass movie. I'm going to be rattling off one-lines for the next week.

And I liked Rachel Weisz. She had kind of a understated sexy thing going on. The exotic look with the accent and the librarian thing. Mmmmm, good stuff.

 

Just re-watched "Batman Begins" in preparation for finally seeing "The Dark Knight" sometime this week.

 

Dead Birds - its a good movie has anyone else seen it?

 

The Bank Job- Thought it was a very good movie and recommend it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

 

Yeh when they go straight to DVD you have to wonder....Same thing for the Scorpion King II.

You ain't kidding, it was almost like the director couldn't decide if he wanted to redo the original poorly or make a lousy sequel.


I saw Step Brothers (smoked a fatty on the ride there) and laughed my *** off. Very funny movie.
