You need to be reacquainted with Jay Fielder. There's a game or two on YouTube. Check em out.

    This times 100000x.

Which is exactly why Campbell should not be the coach next year. Undisciplined play and the defense continues to be an embarrassment.

The verdict has been reached. Campbell must go.

Compared to a lot of games the Oline did a relatively decent job protecting him. That's not to say they were great but sometimes they're atrocious. They weren't tonight. The penalties sucked. I enjoyed the game too outside of the last 7 minutes or so. No doubt we need better coaching. Tannehill hasn't become a QB you should abandon the run with but they do it all the time. God knows why.

Or just replace Thomas and Fox and that will go a long way

This has been then worst season for me. 33 years watching this team and I've become the negative fan I used to hate.

Not like this. There's been games that have been a combination of those things, but not all of them. This was just sloppy. This was bad. I can't say anything bad about Tannehill this game. His stats don't look too great but this was a solid game by him.

thats what i was thinking. it looked at the time(havent rewatched) that when tannehill set to throw landry was stopped and then tried to take back off, landry was noticeably gimped and not really running well at all. it was a tough throw that i have seen missed many times, but i think a 100% landry catches that pass.

You can only get slapped in the face so many times before it has an effect. This season still isn't nearly as bad as 2007 was. That was humiliating mostly because up to that point we had still mostly had winning seasons.

One positive, I thought Tannehills pocket presence was really good tonight. He stepped up in the pocket a bunch of times and bought himself extra time. The negative, I thought his accuracy was shaky. There isnt much we can say about this defense. Boy are they bad.

Whoever was responsible for 22 defending Beckham should be fired on the spot..... Anyone with a brain knew that would be a disaster. As much as Grimes has struggled he's still the guy you've got to always have on Beckham.

Go look at the pic a page back, he's lucky to get 8 yards there. Extremely lucky. The pass, was the right decision IMO... Landry is open. Hit him, and it's a tie game.

Well, lets be honest with ourselves. When was Anarumo a DC last before we replaced Coyle with him. It's not like we have a world renowned DC heading up that unit and game planning for us.

What did we really expect with these coaching changes, given the guys we appointed?

the defense has 0 depth and it was hot and humid. the giants had great balance(31 passes, 32 rushes) and wore down the defensive front. our playcalling(i swear the dolphins organization is huffing paint) was pass heavy in this weather, it is insane.

Cameron dropped the 3rd and 11. Why were they in 3rd and 11? Was it because Tannehill? They were behind down and distance it seemed like the entire 2nd half because of stupid **** penalties and the offensive line playing like pure ****. He was being rushed relentlessly (handled it well) and he missed 1 gdmn throw, to a gimpy receiver who couldn't run at his normal pace, under pressure while on the run and he "can't" make the necessary throws?

It's just such bull**** I can't even tolerate it. I'm not even a Tannehill fanboy or whatever lame *** word this board would choose to use. I watch the game with no bias and I saw a hell of a game by our young QB.

Any one of us has enough sense to know that Grimes should be covering Beckham on every play. Anybody should be able to at least not screw that up. And this abandoning the running game thing.... Why do they hate Lamar Miller? All he does is get yards and score TDs when you feed him the ball. They're allergic to featuring him in the game plan. I guess we just expected a little more common sense than what we were getting before. Expecting too much apparently.

not to mention the play where(we were behind the sticks) tannehill escapes pressure, is signaling to parker to comeback, and parker decides just to stand there instead of coming back to the qb.

This team is soft as hell too. I actually liked Tannehill throwing balls up down field, but no one is going up and snatching the ball. Constant missed tackles. Cramping. Just soft.

I dunno, Grimes sure has struggled lately, and he struggled tonight too IMO. I'll watch it again tomorrow or Wednesday to see more I guess.

Someone in another thread said there's a report that Miller was dinged up, hence the lack of running in the second half... but I haven't seen said report myself. That may explain it a bit... but stilll... Run Ajayi then. Run Williams. Run someone FFS

I'm not even all that upset about having Taylor on Beckham. I mean, there's only so much you can adjust to as the Giants move him all over, and Taylor was our #2 guy due to injury etc. We had no answer for OBJ...which is what great players often do to their opposition.

The real problem is the lack of coaching and prep that resulted in no safety help and a blown coverage THAT bad.

Yeah when they were talking about how the team practices inside sometimes so they won't be worn out on Sundays I was thinking how soft that sounds too. I'm pretty sure Shula worked his teams' asses off in the heat so that they would be better in the heat than everybody else. You never saw visiting teams come to town and use the heat to their advantage when Shula was running things. Such a simple concept but nobody seems to have a clue about that anymore. I guess coddling players is a new NFL philosophy.

Yeah he's definitely struggled. But which CB is better than him? Speaks to our lack of CB depth I suppose. Grimes is still the best we've got.

tonight is the kind of night that the dolphins of the old school flourished on, the other team would be gasses and sucking air, while our team jogged down the field to switch sides, tonight a team from new york was more suited for this than our team.

I know Grimes had a bad game (again) and he should be replaced next season but it seems there is literally nothing you can do to stop Beckham. Eli played like a god too. I don't know if there was anything we could have done differently with the personell (or lack thereof). I was frustrated with how we couldn't stop the run. The Giants kept us guessing the 2nd half.

Commence the "Suh is overpaid!" argument.

This is the biggest thing that has me upset about this loss.

Honestly, it was a good game, a fun watch...its just frustrating to see such dumb stuff happening. Tired team, penalties (false starts and holding along with the dumbass roughing the passer / airborne Jones face mask / Landry body slam), lack of balance, etc. etc. Same ole same ole this season.

    Maybe next year....sigh...

I hate well over 70% of this team I think. OV gets another late hit penalty. Contract year? **** off OV, someone come overpay this asswipe please. Grimes ****ing pathetic at this point. Gets beat for a td, gets called for PI, then falls down on the last play. **** him. Holding on Fox, shocker. **** him. Two false starts by Dallas thomas. **** him. Face mask on Jones because he's tackling from the neck like an idiot. **** him too. My love for landry might have died with that ******ed penalty late in the 4th. ****ing idiot. Jamar taylors the worst. Sims fumbles opening drive, then drops a most likely huge TD on the second. **** him.

And then our in over his ****ing head HC pretty much doesn't know what to do at this point.

    ****.

EDIT: but oh wait, we need to draft a QB in the early rounds because tannehills the ****ing problem, right?

another thing, like gruden said during the game. on 3rd and long, the giants were bringing 6 the whole time and we were coming out in an empty backfield.

plus landry is gimped and we keep throwing him screen passes....... the ****ing team drives me up a wall.
