http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-ricky080804,0,6463050.story Its just about why he wants to play again and how its important for him to clear his name and be a good player. Gotta Love Crowder though "Ricky is really weird," linebacker Channing Crowder joked. "Why he did all that we'll never know."
Love him or hate him, the guy is always honest. Reminds me of a couple years ago when asked if he was upset about making only the league minimum (300K) he simply replied, "Hey, thats a lot of money."
Nice read. I think if anything keeps Ricky around this year its that he may really have realized what his fiasco has done to tarnish his name, and really is looking to redeem himself. To his friends, his family, his teammates, then league and all of his fans. That can be a pretty powerful motivating factor. Good for him if he's able to do it though. all indications so far are definately pointing to him being a factor for us this year!
Yes but we all know that at anytime Ricky could fail another drug test and be out of the league. I still hope he turns it around and plays well for the team but I'll never trust him again.
A similar article to this one was published a couple weeks ago. I'm glad the guy has gotten his life back on track, saying how he now has a fiancee and kids to take care of. He and we all know that he needs the salary to support his family. I'm happy for him and hopefully, he can make us happy on the field this season. Here's to Ricky, my favorite player ever.
I am really happy for Ricky. The guy seems to have really found something now that brings balance to his life. Yeah, he is one mistake away from being gone, thats his own fault, but I wish him all the luck and happiness life can provide. I would love him to just tear it up this year, for us and for his sake.
I think that Ricky and Ronnie will have great years. The offensive line has improved vastly, and both will be able to have more running room than they ever have had in their careers.
38 would be great! Got him on all my fantasy teams as 2nd RB so that would ROCK!!! (it would be great for our PHINS as well)!!
Interesting response by Ricky. A couple months ago he was asked the same question and I believe he said four years.
I thought he said 2 years I could be wrong. But I hope he plays 4 more years. Having the R and R express for 4 years would be great.
Nice blurb here. I read this and immediately bumped Ricky up two rounds in my fantasy rankings. He's in the best shape of his career and he's motivated for what he says is the first time? Watch the hell out.
don't remember where i read it (Sun-Sentinel i think?), but there was talk that ronnie & ricky were hoping to be the first RB tandem to each hit 1,000 yards in 23 years. that would be awesome.
