You really think Parcells would say he wants to get rid of Taylor? I highly doubt he would say something like that. Don't read to what is said on TV so much...

Yeh but remember just because BP is here now, doesn't mean we are going to be running his kind of D. He has been very vocal about not wanting any part of coaching.

I'm also hoping that Gholston is a Dolphin come draft day. I think if he is the guy, then JT won't be back.

Honestly, I hope that JT is traded and the rebuild is done the right way. A patchwork (or retooling) is not what Miami needs. By the time the Phins are legit contenders, JT will be at the end of his career or already out of the league. It's best to get value for your assets instead of just letting them expire.

Gholston would then be able to fill a JT-like role on the defense. Whether he would have the same impact is something that we would have to see. I think he would be a fine player on this defense.

im not sold on us getting rid of taylor.

he is only 33, he still has a good 3-4 years left

if we can get good value for him, i'm fine with trading him. but anything less than a mid-first is not good value.

in terms of having gholston, porter, and JT. i would think porter gets traded or released before JT. He has played well the second half, but he is a Capers guy. i'm not sure if his style of play will necessarily fit in a 'big' 3-4 scheme.

a lot of these questions will be answered when we find out who our DC/HC will be

Porter isnt going anywhere. No one would be dumb enough to take his contract, one, and two we arent going to pay him that much money to sit at home, or play for someone else. Atleast we better not.

He would fit that role really well L2G. Meaning he can put his hand down and play pure passrusher/runstopper or pick up his hand and play in coverage and move around a bit. This is exactly what Jason has been doing for years. If you want to replace a really good aging player with a youngster of the same style here is your chance to do it.

BTW how you been Mike. Long time no see!

I'll admit that I don't watch much college ball, but I like what I have seen of Gholston. I agree that he would be a great pick.

Now if we had just picked Willis last year to go along with Gholston.......

I'm still a Ginn fan though

I'm doing well. Computer problems have limited my time here.

    You?

    Gholston, Dorsey. Gholston, Dorsey.

It's like choosing between Cheesecake and Key Lime Pie. I don't know which to choose.

I've seen the vid before. Doesn't make it any less impressive (or any easier to decide). I can't wait until the National Championship Game, along with the Combine.
