Bolded for emphasis. It's the past. Favre isn't with his balanced Green Bay offense. He's with a new system, new players, new coach, and in a new arena. ...and he might not even want to be there... I'm not gonna stress over it until Favre shows us he still has it with all the changes.
I don't think so but lets say he did for arguments sake. Now he's topping his career off by rolling around in a sewer!
Adam Schefter has confirmed that Favre will be in Jets camp tomorrow and has signed off on the trade. That could change but I doubt it.
Well I guess everyone can forget about the Jets having to give up a 1st round pick. No way they make it to the Super Bowl. Overall a good deal for the Jets
You know its still in the works but the NFL Network is reporting it. It could change but it doesn't look likely, these seem legit.
I personally wanted to see him go to Minn and watch millions of cheeseheads burn his jersey and throw themselves into traffic.
how could you look at this game so narrowly? i was praying for this to happen. and come week 1, you'll see why if farve starts.
Too me this looks like a 2nd or 3rd pick when all is said and done (Super Bowl isn't likely and the playoffs are 50/50 but he will play probably 100% of the plays).
The guy is a HoF quarterback I don't think he will have a ton of trouble adapting to a new system, new players, new coach, and new arena. He loves football and wants to continue to play he is going to give it his all no matter where he is.
How can this possibly be bad for us? Brett Favre had a good season last year, put he also had some great receivers with the Packers, that he won't have in New York. He was a good QB in his prime, but he is over the hill now as far as football players go. He is far more apt to throw INT's than he is TD's!!
i'd say its a solid 50-50. believe me, i want him to goto NY...but right now he's on the ledge of some 3 story building in green bay crying his eye out. unfortunately, thats as high as buildings get out there.
BC Brown and a lot of people look at this like a big upgrade for the Jets. Is it an upgrade? Of course. Klemmens and Pennington are def not as good. But is it an instant upgrade? Not by any means. I think people underestimate how long it's going to take Farve to used to the new system and the offense as a whole. Bad thing is for Jets fans, it's a race against the clock. Farve is a geezer and prob doesn't have much time left. You don't know how long it will take, if at all, for him to get acclimated.
I still don't understand why you wanted to see this, I would get where you were coming from if the Jets gave up a 1st or 2nd round pick but they didn't.
The Packers' success last season was a mirage... they had one of the easiest schedules in the NFL. They'll be lucky if they finish above 9 wins this year (it would have been less if Favre stayed and played).
13-3 and an appearance in the NFC Championship game was fluke? This response to the Jets getting Favre is ridiculous.
BTW, don't understand why this was moved, since it involved Pennington and the chances of him coming to Miami...
Now, instead of saying "I'm going to RALPH"... I'm going to say... "I"m gonna FAVRE"... sounds better...
Took a look at the schedule and your right it is easy but the Packers were good enough to win the games they should have won. They have a fantastic front 7, two great corners and an offense that can get the job done. Last season was by no means a fluke they will be right there again this season.
consider it a friendly wager... more than 9 wins and you win... less than 10 wins and I win...This is the Packers... wanna wager on the Jets? I say they won't win more than 8 games...
What I don't understand is how people think the Jets aren't better for this? The question is simple; "Are you saying Pennington and Clemons are better than Favre." Of course he is and this makes the Jets better, even if you think the Jets are still a bad team this does make the Jets better because neither Pennington or Clemons are going to the HOF. The only way I see Brett slacking off is because he is now in the AFC which is better than the NFC but the Jets are still better now. Also he can learn the system early enough to help the Jets this year. This isn't an end all deal for the Fins...all I'm arguing is that the Jets are better.
except Montana lead the Chiefs to a playoff berth... Favre won't lead the Jets to the promised land... no way no how..
Yeah you get it that is what I'm saying. The Jets are better and I also like that they may give the Pats more of a problem. That being said I'm not saying the Jets will win the AFC East but they have a better shot. It makes me nervous because it hurts the Fins but the season can go either way and I still hope the Fins can win the division (high hopes I know) but this still hurts. Overall the Jets are better which makes me nervous/it sucks but I hope they still stink up on the field this year. It just really sucks the Jets have gotten better...I think I'm taking that harder than anything (hurting the Fins is a huge part of that). No he isn't.
