The WWE has a...sort of formula for when they have an amazing match on their hands. Whether it was HBK-Undertaker, Austin-Rock, Hogan-Warrior or most other huge matches. It typically involves a certain..."sheen" to the match. False finishes, multiple kick outs of the other one's finish and a storyline element that is pounded into our heads by the announcers.

This...didn't have that. It had a certain amount grit to it. It is rare for a great match to happen inside the WWE umbrella that doesn't follow their own basic formula, and this is one of those rare matches. I can't gush on it enough.

The WWE style of working matches has gotten so old that part of the reason this match was so good was because it was so different.

I think part of it has to be that both Nakamura and Zayn really havent been versed in that WWE style. They still wrestle a very stiff "strong style" and in the Indies, we dont really see the formulaic style with a ton of false finishes that we see in a WWE ring on a normal basis. You see it with Cena, after a while you even saw it with Rollins and Bryan, they totally make every match exactly the same. They make you fight a certain way. At the NXT/Indy level these guys are afforded a certain level of freedom, and that newness is what sets it apart...

Let us not forget that Generico/Zayn is on another lrvel and Nakamura just very well may be the #1 guy in terms of puro stiff style and just overall charisma...put that together and you got lightning in a bottle

Wow WWE gave Jericho a win in WrestleMania. LOL That's a major shocker to me. Thought they were going to give Styles his wrestlemania moment. Gotta earn your stripes I guess.

Best part of the night was Ryder winning the IC title. I enjoyed everything up to the HiTC match. Everything after it was pretty long and boring. I mean I love The Rock but can do without his annual WM promo. Overall I thought it was a fine WM, obviously not the best or worst, but given the lack of hype it could have been a disaster.

The biggest issue I have with WM is it is way too damn long.

Stone Cold got a way bigger pop than the rock and he didnt get any time on the mic. Lol the rock just drags his segments too long and then comes things that dont make sense like fights against new day or the wyatts, just randomness.

The street fight was just pure crap. And the title match well we knew it was going to be bad and wwe did their best to edit out the boo and roman suck chants but you can still hear it

The whole match was a train wreck and slooooooooow and boring as hell. None of it made any sense, much like the actual storyline for the match and they didn't even bother to bring out Vince to watch it. No run ins, nothing memorable except an extremely stupid bump that Shane took. Like I said before WM was fine until the HITC match, then it was a long boring disaster.

I love Steve HBK and Mick and their wrestlemania moment was needed but at the same time I think its getting kind of pathetic to use your main roster as a punching bag for the legends just for a cheap crowd roar.

So now you just burried the Wyatts (again), new day (again) and league of nations. all in just two segments you burried 10 wrestlers of your main roster.

Im just glad John Cena was the one who came out to assist the Rock. Kept thinking Ronda Rousey is going to come out and help The Rock beat league of nations and maybe do her own elbow drop. That would have made it so lame.

According to Meltzer, WM's actual attendance was between 93k and 94k, which is pretty damn impressive. It also drew 17.3 million at the gate.

Meltzer is reporting that the original plans for the IC title ladder match was Kevin Owens winning but plans were changed at the last minute.

Also Meltzer says that Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows will be on the main roster shortly. Enzo, Big Cass and Apollo Crews will be appearing on the main roster in the near future.

Well they had ticket scanning issues at Jerry World, and thousands of people went home pissed off. WrestleMania began with thousands still outside trying to get in.

Ok Wrestlemania. They were stuck with that Roman Reigns victory, which you can tell by them having a game plan to drown out the boos. Here is hoping that Reigns turns heel officially to try and salvage this, but they probably won't.

Ladder match was really good. Jericho/Styles was solid. Women's match (and new belt) were awesome, and I enjoy seeing HBK/Foley/Austin as a segment AFTER the match.

The perfect time to turn Reigns heel was at the Survivor Series, now even if he turns heel I don't think it's going to matter. Fans just don't like and/or care about him and part of the reason is he has no character or personality. So even as a heel none of that changes.

I don't blame Reigns, he's been booked terribly since The Shield split up. I'm just thankful Reigns finally got his "WM moment" so now Vince and Co. can finally get their Reigns' fix until he tanks as champion and they move on.

Reigns needs more moves.. Seriously... He had that samoan drop, the spear and althe superman punch.. I didnt see him do anything else yesterday..

Maybe work in a jackknife powerbomb, some aerial attack, a submission like the ankle lock, a ddt, i dont know but something. His moves dont excite anyone. Its just clothesline five times, throw you off the ropes, throw u against the barricade, superman punch, samoan drop, spear, done. Yawn

Could see a LOT of new names on RAW tonight. The R-A-W (Raw After Wrestlemania) is an event in of itself, these days. Perfect time to debut NXT call ups and/or debut a certain popular "club".

If you think about it last night should have been Rollins vs Reigns and Reigns winning the title for the first time. He may have been better received that way. But since Rollins injury Reigns has been champion three times already in 5-6 months

Hes on pace to become a 15 time champion in 20 months

That is just pathetic. And obvious its going to build up where he wins it on the next ppv but really, there are a billion other ways to legitimize the intercontinental title and instead you go the really stupid route.

If there is any title division that is in serious need of work is the US title. That title is so useless.

Pretty telling that "The Next Cena" got 1 segment in the middle of the show and wasn't seen from again. Clearly the WWE was worried about the fan backlash.

Interesting that Styles is his first opponent. Its not going to help get Reigns any cheers, perhaps its the start of a slow heel turn.

Overall besides the main event RAW was pretty forgettable, which is very surprising since the RAW after WM is usually the best one of the year. I also am starting to hate the super duper smarky fans and all of their chants. Its cute every once and awhile but most of it is annoying.

One of the more tame Post-Wrestlemania crowds. It might be fatigue from the weekend of wrestling though. Plus, for us watching at home, the WWE is actively messing with the sound to drown out the crowds these days.

It is always fun to re-set the business year, so to speak and see who and what we have to look forward to. The Vaudevillains, Enzo & Cass, Barrett Corbin, a returning Cesaro, a re-packaged Primo/Epico, Apollo Crews (not sure if he is up full-time or was just showcasing for an eventual main roster call up later), and of course, Wade Barrett on his way out of the WWE.

Most importantly, there is, at least, a temporary refreshing of the main event scene. Whether AJ, Jericho, Cesaro and Owens stay there, or kick back down for more traditional main eventers that are returning (Cena, Orton, etc.). That is a lot for one show, yet is didn't come off as overwhelming, which can happen. Probably smart to hold back on the Balor Club and Bayley.

I didn't mind the Ryder title switch as they clearly gave Zack a Wrestlemania Moment for being such the company man he has always been. Ryder knew it was going to be short lived from the beginning. His interview after winning the strap at WM, even alluded to losing it quickly.

I agree about Ryder, no one should complain. He got his WM moment and was always going to be on borrowed time. I just have a problem with The Miz getting the title but I'm assuming he's probably going to drop the belt fairly soon.

I loved Cesaro's suit/glasses look he came out in. Hopefully he will find that personally Vince feels he lacks and is given a real chance.

He really sold it well, especially that "bite" Goldust was known for at 2:00, that had me on the floor laughing.
