THIS POST IS SOLELY TO BASE MY OPINION, I AM NOT COMPLAINING

Aside from Round 1, Rounds 2-6 were the worst picks I've ever seen

Our draft could've easily looked like this
    1. Tunsil
    2. S'ua Cravens / Deion Jones
    3. Kendall Fuller
    4. Dixon/ Booker
    5. Westerman / K Brothers / Jordan Payton (since we want WRs so bad)

This is just an example of what could've been if we stayed patient and just went with it. Trading up in the 2nd for a CB that likely would've still been there at our pick. A CB that is still very raw and not ready for the NFL, at that. Carroo looks really good, but giving away a 3rd and a 4th next year?! This was just ridiculous

really? I guess you're okay with another year of Koa Misi missing tackles and our CBs getting burnt.

No one said KOA Misi is starting. In fact I believe he took a paycut which usually leads to a backup role.

Considering I'd have drafted Alexander and Fackrell, I would say I'm not ok with it.

But your question about Misi and burnt cbs has nothing to do with you characterizing the opening post as not complaining.

I agree about one point, i hate that our dolphins continue to ignore the MLB position. every top defense has a top flight MLB/ILB that leads it. We need to start investing high on one and stop ignoring the position.

    I like our draft though.

We did trade down from #8 for a starting MLB and starting CB. Not my favorite solution, but they didn't ignore the position.

Koa Misi is most definitely starting unfortunately. The fact that they are counting on Alonso/Misi/Jenkins to hold it down at LB is severely short-sighted. Misi is a walking injury, Alonso hasnt played in 2 seasons practically, and Jenkins has fallen out of favor with this FO. There was a lot of help available at some spots of the draft and we took special teamers. Incredibly frustrating draft IMO. Hopefully it pans out. I like Caroo, he was probably our best pick after Tunsil but was it really necessary to trade up for a 4th WR? The Jaguars had a focused draft and they hit it out of the park to me.

Worst is pushing it don't you think? I mean Ted Ginn/Beck draft. The Jason Allen draft, The Eddie Moore draft. 2002 when we didn't even have a 1st or 2nd round pick? The Jamar Fletcher draft, The J.J. Johnson draft.

Add to that the Drake pick, probably our worst pick, I didn't get that one at all. Booker, Dixon, I mean even Dwayne Washington. WTF is going on here???

Ah, the main forum after a Dolphins Draft. ...

Theres no way that getting a 10 year starter at LT in the first round equals worst draft ever. I don't like the trading up that we did, I thought we needed more on defense that much I agree with. I don't really understand 2 WRs (trading up no less) although its not crazy, we did lose Matthews and Stills didn't really do much last year.

Quite possibly not a waste. Leonte is a direct shot across Stills bow that they just aren't going to hand him a job. Jakeem Grant is definitely intended to get Landry off returns and could be a more intriguing 4th WR option for Gase.

I think Stills is definitely in trouble of making this roster now if he doesn't improve a lot over last year.

Best draft I've seen in a long time.

Leonte and Jakeem, are you kidding me!

Stills may never see the field again.

    Tunsil was amazing.

Xavien Howard is the best prospect for their style.

Not as defense heavy or value savvy as some might like, but when you add in we got Maxwell and Alonso for defense and we got Tunsil for pennies.

Hard to say this wasn't a stellar draft based on the players we came away with.

Nay, sir, this draft has the potential to be best ever.

The fact that you love this draft so much makes me feel a little better about, not that I think any better of the draft, but at least someone is happy, and that's never a bad thing:up:

I'm luke warm to room temp on this draft, but it could be a very good draft, Howard and Carroo do have a high ceilings, Tunsil is the Mac Daddy, and these other guys have promise, just didn't like the loss of picks, but if this draft works the way they hope it will be well worth it.

Or the potential to be another in a long line of wasted drafts. Only time will tell. Check back with me in three years and we can have an legitimate discussion on the 2016 Dolphin draft. Right now we are just hoping for the best and praying we don't have a repeat of the 2013 draft.

I refuse to be upset with this draft for us. First of all WE DONT KNOW exactly how any of these guys will turn out. You can't piss and moan about this until three years from now when these players have a grade behind them.
I thought we did really well in this draft in my opinion, based on the production of these players in college. Tunsil is a mainstay at Left Tackle for the next 10+ years, Xavien Howard fits great with the other young corners on this team, Kenyan Drake may possibly be my favorite selection...He's a Darren Sproles, Gio Bernard, Danny Woodhead...Guy is a legit weapon for us...Stop complaining. I don't know much about either receiver we drafted, but I love the Lucas kid from Penn State, I think he actually has a chance at making this team. Nah man....not mad at all...We made out fine, time will tell if any of these guys become players. If you don't like what we did, and you're going to always complain about crap, go root for a bandwagon team....I won't be mad atcha.

If this is the worst draft you've ever seen, you must be new to the team. To start with, we took a player who was recently thought of as the #1 overall selection at #13, and he'll fill a vital need from day one. Then we took a player at our most pressing need in the second round who apparently fits perfectly with the type of defense that our new coaching staff will run. That alone makes the draft fine. From there, they seem to have filled it out with player who suit the type of roles that the coaches want them to fill.

For worst draft contenders, look back as recently as 2013. Yikes. I hated 2007 out of the box, but we ended up getting Paul Soliai and Brandon Fields out of it, so it wasn't a total wash, but disgusting at the top. 2006 was just putrid in retrospect. If not for finding Yeramiah Bell in the 6th round, 2003 would have been worthless.

1995 is probably my choice for worst in my time as a fan though. You can almost count on your hands the total number of games started for the Fins by the players in that whole draft, and almost the whole class was gone in less than two years. It was such a total failure that fans literally could have done better than the team did.

So crank down the hyperbole a little, ok.

Its all about finding players who fit a scheme implemented by the new coaches .

The draft was a success for them because all of the players drafted fit that scheme.

We all had our personal favorites but perhaps they didnt fit that scheme.

Drafting the highest rated player before the drug rumors is a homerun IMO.

It reminded me of the way Dan Marino dropped with late drug rumors too.

All I can say is that we have benefited from these last minute rumors.

Not the worst draft I've ever seen, but it wasn't all that I hoped for. Beyond Tunsil, I didn't love the draft by any means. Could easily see a number of successful NFL players drafted behind Miami's selections. Carroo is an interesting pick and I don't hate it.

Xaiver Howard: Upside could be Sam Madison-esque. Downside could be Will Davis-esque. Too big of a gamble when you're picking 7th overall, in round 2, after trading a 4th to move up. You should walk away with a prospect that could of arguably been a 1st rounder. We didn't get even close to that, IMO. Could of had Myles Jack too if we offered our 4th, compared to Jacksonville's 5th. Walking away with two of the top 5 prospects in this draft, would of been a coup of unbelievable proportions. Fact is, we drafted a player based on need and missed out a number of players who have demonstrated more talent and consistency.

Kenyan Drake: Why? To play special teams? Return punts, kicks, and act as a gunner? As a third down back? Does Miami think he's going to be Dion Lewis 2.0? I just don't understand the pick in the top of the 3rd round with quality prospects on the board, that could of served to fill needs and give Miami value.

Leonte Carroo: I like this pick. I've been saying for years that Miami should follow the GB Packer philosophy of drafting WR's in the 2nd or 3rd round on a consistent basis. It's just good decision making. I don't know of another position that has the success rate of WR's in rounds 2 and 3. Carroo has great hands and is a YAC monster. Two traits that are extremely important to me in a WR. Given that Stills might be on the way out, drafting and grooming Carroo this year helps Miami with continuity next season, should Stills depart.

I'd give this draft a C, at best. Huge opening move with Tunsil, tons of value. This was followed by back to back questionable picks, one of which was a special teams RB in the top of the 3rd round. The last of the day picks was a solid selection, in Carroo.

Any negative reactive I have isn't to any of the players drafted. Because I have no way of knowing at this time if they will be productive players or not for the Dolphins.

My negative view of the draft for the Dolphins is simply that other than the OL, which they took care of in round one. I felt the biggest issues on this team are on defense and the Dolphins didn't seem to do much in this draft to upgrade this side of the ball.

I'll wait until next year to see who they draft on defense. I figure they will have a top 6 pick in next years draft, so they should hopefully get an impact defensive player next year and with any luck, it will be an impact LB.

Trading some picks sucks - but hey - on the brigth side, it looks like there is a least a vision and we're going after the guys we like. I'd rather get players that see the field and fit what coaches want than what we've historically been doing haha.

Remember the last coach who didnt even want our QB? It can always be worse :shifty:

I love how everyone pretends to know how these layers will turn out in the nfl. If you can predict the future that well, I suggest playing the lottery. Anyone we selected could either be a stud or a total waste. It takes skill, drive, intelligence, and good coaching to make a player great. There is no way of knowing if any of these factors is missing until the player shows us on the field. It's the same with free agency. When a player changes teams, their drive and coaching changes. A player can go from great to terrible or vise versa depending on the circumstances. So how can you possibly know how a player will transition from a college team to the nfl?
