So the Cavs show up finally and it appears we've got a series on our hands. Frye seeing the minutes I'd expected to see couple games ago. Fair or not, nobody looks worse than Kevin Love this morning. Warriors' stars not executing finally jumped up and bit them on the road. Adjustment time. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
This series follows the pattern of most NBA playoff series where one team (GSW) are the better team (CLE). Usually the better team will blow out the first two games then lose game 3 on the road. I should've put money on this game too, because it happens all too often in NBA playoffs. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
I would wait to see what happens next game before I'd call it a series. This could be the only game CLE wins. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
He does, Lebron played really well last night the Cavs, Heat, etc. are always hard to beat when he is hitting his shot and dominating, its not that complicated. The morning shows are burying Love and calling for Jefferson to play more.....
yes..and they are ignoring the fact that LeBron played at the #4 and hit his shots so we got Optimal Cavs while Golden State ..again, played piss poor. Trust me, you don't come to execute with effort and play with physicality, the Cavs and many other NBA teams will blow your doors off. Especially the Cavs in that building.
Man, Twitter HATED that national anthem thing. I thought it was awesome. They've been doing it for the entire playoffs - I went to a game in the ECF and it's really cool when you are in the building. Surprised it hasn't been done more often, tbh. Cool idea.
Did anyone else notice the fans booing Anderson Varejao when he came into the game? I thought that was pretty ridiculous. I've never been a fan of his, but he's a max effort player that was TRADED. What is there to boo about?
Yes. It's insane to boo an opposing player. Last night was no fluke, it is a prime example of playoff basketball. Home teams play well on their home floor, and even when they don't?? You likely get some officiating assistance. This series will be over in 6 games one way or the other. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, I called as much on the Cavs winning. Seeing Kyrie hit the first few dribble pull-ups from mid-range was a bad sign for GSW. Cavs played well and GSW played like lazy *****es. I have game 4 as a 50/50 tossup (Fin-O needs to pass some of what he's smoking, apparently it only lets you troll after a win). JR Smith is again the X-Factor. I had it at 55% CLE win if JR Smith let it fly, and he did, and they won handily. I thought playing Frye extended minutes would be a fail for CLE and he only got 12. CLE is unlikely to be able to play this well over the entirety of the series, but they can be to GSW what TOR was to them.
Thought the Cavs figured some stuff out last night - they quit switching on EVERYTHING so there was less confusion. Got the offense moving a bit so there were more open shots. Seemed like LeBron was able to take Draymond out of his game quite a bit. They attacked the hell out of Curry. Don't think it's going to massively swing the series - but they might win another game.
They are kind of repeating a trend, they did the same thing against OKC. Then they turned it back on and beat them so I'm not all that concerned for GS. I just think Love is getting trashed a bit unfairly, the entire Cleveland team played like crap the first 2 games and now Richard Jefferson is the Finals MVP, GTFO.
He wasn't traded to GS, so maybe that's part of it? I also wasn't a fan of Andy when he was with Cleveland, though I wouldn't have booed him.
You're lucky I've never been able to figure out how to post pics / gifs on this forum or I'd be spending the next 48 hrs finding one for the off-chance the Cavs win tomorrow.
Agreed. It'd much rather have the crowd sing it, or better yet, play it like in the olympics (band/orchestral arrangement). Feels like the whole soloist act is just an exercise in pointless self-gratification if not star-worship. Pukeworthy throughout but especially so toward the end usually (e.g. typically R&B/Pop singers needlessly stretching the anthem just to show their chops) So, it's not all bad ideas out there.
Back to something we were talking about earlier... Dwyane Wade has his own STORES in China: https://www.instagram.com/p/BGb9EEwosRS/ I mean...a STORE dedicated to Wade merchandise. Dude better sign for the MLE.
Role players always play better at home. GS's did in games 1-2, and CLE's did in game 3. If Curry continues to play below his standards, CLE can win game 4. I have a hard time seeing CLE win a game on the road, but I suppose it isn't out of the realm of possibility.
Come on. They didn't boo the other players when they came in the game. Let's not be ridiculous here. It was a somewhat classless move.
Kevin Love close to being cleared and likely to come off the bench. If they can slot him in during Livingston's minutes at PG he could be a really, really nice matchup piece for them. Cavs bench scored 3 points through the first 3 quarters yesterday - if Love can come in and just keep them afloat when LeBron needs a breather, that's a nice asset.
Unless there's some other history (bad mouthed the Cavs after he left, for example) that I'm unaware of, I would call that a pretty classless display by Cleveland fans. Obviously it wouldn't compare to allegedly elbowing Kerr's daughter in the head.
I think Cavs win yesterday with Kevin Love... people are so reactionary just because they won one game without him.. they could have run the same gameplan with him no problem..
That gif is actually just from a free throw steph made. We all know how Mrs. Curry reacts to good news.
Warriors are only on the verge of league domination because Lebron went yoko and broke up the Heatles.
Since you guys love talking refs - In the regular season, the Cavs averaged 26.9 shots within 5 ft per game. They had a 25.9% Free Throw Attempt Rate on all shots. In the playoffs, it has been 26.9 shots within 5 feet and a 25.3% FTA Rate. In the Finals - 36.7 shots within 5 feet and a 24% FTA rate. They shot 62.4% in the regular season within 5 feet, 58.3% in the playoffs, and 53.6% percent in the Finals. Flip-side is that the Cavs are beating up Curry and not getting called for much - and Curry is getting whistled for a ton of fouls.
They actually cheered Lebron when he returned. They booed the opposing team, but there was no classless individualized booing against Lebron or if there was it was drowned out by the cheers. And if there had been booing of Lebron I would have called it classless too.
I'm not sure. Miami with Lebron would have been a good series, but IMO GSW is too good for me to believe Miami would be dominating.
Wrong again. But hey, if you keep throwing anti-Heat **** against the wall, eventually something will stick, right? The funny thing is, LeBron chose to leave Miami, Varejao didn't. That would be like Heat fans booing Mario Chalmers or Birdman (which would never happen).
You mean after Wade ended the man's life with a vicious slam dunk? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
