It was different b/c RW did actually screw over the team. But if you want an example of Miami fans being classless then I would point to Jason Taylor. Parcells screwed him over. He did nothing to Miami except take a job in NY after Miami cast him aside. Some fans booed him on his return. That was as classless as the Cleveland fans treated Varejao. Although no where near the level that Cleveland reached with Lebron.

What is bothersome to me about that post is that, the Heat organization has done the tribute for him, has even defended him when they didn't need to when David Blatt was fired, there was a rumor that Lebron wanted Spoelstra fired and the Heat denied it right away. They didn't have to, but they still did it, and this guy seems to be bitter about the team that got him 2 of his rings. lol Oh well.

I wonder when Riley told him it would be a mistake, I have a feeling Lebron is being overdramatic about that just like he is with his flops. Lebron cut off all communication with Riley throughout free agency.

    Honest question...

If he was still a member of the Heat, would you waste your time posting this as if it has ANYTHING to do with the price of tea in China?

Oh gee..I don't know Fin-O ...did I constantly call him an ******* when we were winning 27 in a row and went to 4 straight Finals?

SO Yeah, I would say I am at least a -1500 favorite to have posted that. BTW, you do understand I hold back stuff I have heard about him right?

If I got my answer...i want to SEE THE TICKET..and I want to see the Ferrari you bought with those winnings.

and yes, they were perfectly reasonable. Nobody has a crystal ball and can easily and comfortably predict that we were gonna see the biggest collapse, and biggest comeback in NBA history.

I didn't bet on it, nor would I have.

And yes that is true, but some of those posts were matter of fact comments used in a snide way spoken arrogantly. Claiming anyone who thought Cleveland could win a title was BAD BASKETBALL ANALYST? When you spout out the lite trolling, you must prepare for someone like me to return the favor.

But that's none of my buisness.

No it wouldn't. The league is much more athletic. I've been watching the NBA for over 30 years, Lebron would be among the best players in the league in any era. He would have dominated in that era too. No would could have guarded him. Lebron is strong enough to take contact and still post up, still get his shot. He would also be better on defense if he could use his size on players and use his hands.

Lebron would certainly still be a top tier player, he's incredible.

But Jordan would be better in todays game than LeBron would've been in those days.If Jordan played in this offensive structured era?? His numbers would be ridiculous

It's impossible to say how Lebron would have done in the 90s era. Back then hard fouls were typical ones while now they are considered flagrant. You just didn't bring it in the paint back then unless you were asking to get abused and that was considered good defence. A lot of things have changed like no hand checking and allowing illegal screens to promote offense just like how the PI calls have been tweaked to change the NFL. These days offences have never been as opened.

Likewise it's impossible to determine how Jordan vs Lebron would have fared. Jordan had he greatest first step, court speed, elevation, body control, the strength to finish and had the deftest of shots though. If he didn't play 3 years of college and 2 years in baseball who knows how much more he could have done. 8 straight championships would have been very probable.

Well, let's recap. At 3-1, the Dubs had a set a RECORD for largest margin of victory in the First two games of the History of the Finals, and then had taken a game with ease in Cleveland, while heading home for not 1 but two shots at it at home, where they set the record for margin of victory.

Of course those people thinking the Cavs had no chance were certifiably insane.

But that is none of my business. Nice touch.

Lol you realize that Jordan feasted on guys like Jeff Hornacek and Jon Starks? The league was much less physically imposing then.

You're kidding right? Because the players are bigger and stronger? YOU realize that none of that matters IF you can't be physical right?

And its not even up for discussion about how physical it was on the inside by compared to today...nut kicker Draymond Green would be just another guy back then. A guy like Curry for example? He is a 15 ppg player in that era, because they would've grabbed and held on to him without a whistle....and he wouldn't dare goto the rim in that era either.

You guys ever hear of hand checking? Do you know what it is and what it does not only to an individual player but an offense in general? Games were 90-86 on the regular back then for a reason and Jordan often accounted for a a lot of that himself.

You guys are nuts and kind of shows that SOME of you likely didn't start paying attention to the NBA until.....well, you know.

Like they did in the WC and NBA Finals?

Fin-O..they hand check now still. it is just policed more. They also allow Zones, and defenses are much more intricate nowadays.

You think these guys would just grab a time machine and travel back to 1994 and pee their pants? No. they would take their MUCH BIGGER bodies and superior athleticism and floss with those fools.

Did you miss my Wade comment? The guy was heavier than most PF's. only 10 pounds lighter than Ewing and Robinson.

Just because they allowed a little extra back then, it doesn't mean these guys today wouldn't adapt. They would.

A little extra?? You know better. And again, who cares how big you are if you can't use your body like you could then. Guys like LeBron would be just fine, yes...but Stph Curry is Steve Kerr in that era.

In '92-93 (the only year I looked at to be fair) 25/27 teams scored over 100 pts per game, and the 26th team averaged 99.3, the 27th was at 98.1.

This past season only 23/30 teams averaged over 100 pts per game, 7 teams worse than 99.3 per game, and 3 of those teams were worse than 98.1.

The league average in '92-93 was 105.3 per game, while this past year it was 102.7.

I think it may be possible that you're remembering things how you want to (which is very common, we shape memories over time to be what we want them to be).

Guys..a new narrative has been born. Steph Curry is a piece of crap, one dimensional soft pansy that would have been a journeyman career 7th man in the early 90's.

He accomplished more in terms of legacy last night then he ever has or ever will. He ended a 50 year drought and didn't need a handful of other HOF's on his team to do it. He made a FANTASTIC decision in that regard.

Draymond Green has 10 lbs on Charles Oakley.

You could hand check but you couldn't play zone back then.

The idea that because games were lower scoring, defenses were better is ridiculous. Teams just had a much slower pace. They had a much slower pace back then because A) big men were not good athletes, and B) teams were not smart enough to figure out what the most efficient shots were. Once teams discovered that corner threes were so efficient, the game became much faster.

I'm starting to wonder if any of you were watching basketball then or if you were too busy with puberty.

Some of this stuff just makes no sense...

Fin o...Steph = Steve Kerr? I liked the 90's era better but you're kidding right?

Stringer... No one cares about zone. No team in the playoffs instituted a 2-3 or 1-3-1 outside of the occasional situational play. None. Let's not pretend anyone has channeled their inner Jim Boeheim here. Charles Oakley would have punched Draymond upside the head, stepped over him and got called for a common foul. And are you kidding me with the big men were not good athletes crap? Olajuwon, Ewing or Shaq had better footwork then ANY big in today's game and they played in the post where big men are supposed to play.

Section you know as well as I do that the 90's were a golden era for the best bigs in the history of the league. Olajuwon, Ewing, Shaq, Zo, Robinson...PF's like Malone and Barkley...you kidding me? The guys today may be more athletic but those guys were flat out better and much more coordinated in the post then even the best bigs today. They would drop their stools all over them. It's not even close.

Fellas this wasn't about hand checking, this was about keeping basketball a mans game. No blood, no foul playground rules and the ratings say it was better then. Last night was the highest rated finals since 98. I liked that brand of basketball better. Plain and simple for me.
