Add a shooter, resign Wade, and take the max to 2017

It's mind blowing to me that Wade plays this out through the media (and the Heat are now "interested" in Jamal Crawford). Like - if ever there was a team and a dude that should be able to hash their differences out in private, you'd think it be this team and that dude.

Sec dangled that Kyle Korver may be available (I think by trade)

I find that idea very tasty

I think the Heat have to make a decision between Dragic and Wade. I'm not sure they can keep both.

There's no evidence of any kind of acrimony between the two sides, and there is every reason to dangle Wade out there for teams as a distraction while the Heat work on free agency. Every team that is packaging an offer to Wade and waiting for his answer is wasting time, and it impacts their plans as they wait for his answer. The more Dwyane Wade becomes a branch in other teams' free agency decision trees, the better it is for the Heat.

Why wouldn't the players trust Riley?

    EXTREMELY!

It is really a 3 year deal for 48 million as the last year is a team option. So not quite as bad as it originally looked but still...we live in a world where Timofey Mozgoc makes $16 million a year to score six points a game.

What's wild is that horrid deal, combined with the big raise Jordan Clarkson just got (which is actually a good deal) is still less in total dollars combined than what Bradley Beal got from Washington.

Allegedly Warriors, Spurs, Heat, Cavs and others were all looking at Mozgov too. Obviously in different roles, depending on the team.

How does Chandler Parsons get a max offer deal from a playoff team like Portland and NOT take it?

Is he high off of second hand smoke in Portland or something?

    sign that deal, Chandler...idiot.

Guess I think a lot of the Heat allure is how they take care of their own and the Heat Culture stuff. So playing this out publicly isn't a huge help to that.

To think we gave Whiteside between $92 and $98 million when we could've gotten Mosgov for $65 million.

It's part and parcel to it. It's evidence of Heat Culture in action.

I don't think they have to make that decision at all. As of right now you have about $20M to pay Wade, so you don't have to get rid of Dragic to sign him. If you can trade McBob, that frees up another $5M. If you get rid of either player without adding another max player and your team gets worse. I think the only way you trade Dragic is if you get KD or can get another star somehow in an unexpected trade.

I think even Windhorst is catching on with respect to Wade's messages being pure manipulation. I think he initially started saying things that implied Wade is mad and wants to leave or something like that, then a bit later Windhorst acknowledged that it's more like Wade wants everyone to know this stuff for god only knows what reasons.

For Wade and Riley, it's a game. And it's not a game they're playing against one another. It's a game they're playing against the rest of the NBA.

For those who can't see, Whiteside agreed to give some wiggle room if the Heat land KD.

Man. Pat Riley is pretty awesome. Gotta make this KD thing happen.

People making a big deal about the KD-GS meeting going more than two hours. I'd be pretty disappointed if KD only spent two hours with Riley and Arison this Sunday.

So I guess Omar Kelly wasn't content making a fool out of himself just in the NFL, he had to expand to the NBA as well:

OJ Mayo banned from the NBA for drug violation. Wording makes it sound like he was in a program for previous offenses and flunked out. Eligible for reinstatement in two years. Dude was a really good scorer in his day.
