Thanks for the Link, DJ. Thats cool, and does work on laptops. As for the spaces, I don't see it as all that different from what a lot of other stadiums have, where fans can mingle and watch the game while getting snacks and whatnot. Its at the far corners of the stadium.
I believe the law is you can only put enough panels on your roof to offset your electrical cost, and the reason that law is in place is because homeowners were putting more panels on their roof than they needed to cover the cost of their monthly electric bill thus feeding more energy back into the grid so the utility company wound up paying the homeowner for that electricity..
Yeah I'm kind of particular when it comes to this project considering I've been lobbying for it since the venues inception..I love it, the canopy is very smart and overdue, I'm grateful to Ross but there are a couple of things I would of done differently.
Yeah. It's not different than Jacksonville (who has a massive screen and others in the corners for fantasy football and RedZone purposes). It has the same difference in space too.
Pretty cool. It looks like on Garfinkel's twitter home that there is something underneath the video boards. Don't know what it is (it's gray). Also looks like there is a support structure under the center of the boards right now (which may actually allow for more seats to be put it?). I suspect they need some gap under the video board in order for fans not right up on the edge to be able to see the other video boards and watch the action. Will be interesting to see the final product (though I also think there will be more tweaks and touches done after this season). The main things they need in place this year are the roof and the video boards. Once that's done, they can add other lesser aspects to the stadium.
"Real leaders will be happy when they plant a tree they'll never enjoy the shade of" or something like that.....sad they only want to line their pockets, instead of innovating for progress of this planet.
Well, it looks like the frame of the canopy is complete. No more steel to hang. They are removing the cranes from inside the stadium and are now removing the dirt. Should see a spankin new field in the coming weeks.
Big cranes are out, steel is up, scraping the rock bed out. Still looking to hang the canopy panels on one sideline. Getting really close.
Looks like a completely different stadium. Great job by all involved. Now I gotta get down there for a game one of these years.
It honestly does seem like the league did us a favor there, for once, by having our first two home games against two of the worst teams in the league from last season.
It is just going to radically improve the fan experience (both noise and comfort from the sun and rain). Makes me want to go down there for a game way more now. NFL Network should be talking about this stadium. It's going to be way better.

@TomGarfinkel 360 degree view of the stadium. Click the link and move your phone around. It's like you're standing on the 50. https://www.panono.com/p/jKqlB90IYIft ____________________________ @TomGarfinkel World's best grounds crew starts laying the sod tomorrow bright and early...
Yessir! Don't forget they also have to install the frosted glass on the lip of the roof. I'm really curious to see how they apply them now that the big cranes inside the stadium have been removed.
Has there been an update on what the name of the stadium will be? Haven't heard anything in a while. I still think Hard Rock Stadium sounds bad ***.
"• The Dolphins are hoping to finalize a deal for stadium naming rights in the next few weeks, and Hard Rock International remains a top contender. Asked if he expects Hard Rock to be part of the stadium’s name, owner Stephen Ross said: “I hope.” So will it definitely be Hard Rock? “We have a lot of other different opportunities, but I like the [brand] name." http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/2016/07/steve-ross-on-the-dolphins-search-for-a-new-stadium-name-more-buzz-on-marlins-trade-and-heats-waiter-1.html
My excitement over the stadium upgrades (and team) just amounted into a flight home and tickets for 10/23 vs Buffalo. So, the upgrades got me to come all the way from Chicago. Sitting in the shade while watching the game? In.
Lookin real good! Got to commend Ross for this, and Garfinkel as well. The job he's done keeping everyone updated on the progress via social media has been pretty awesome. That man deserves a raise.
It looks better than I hoped it would, the models didn't do it justice. And it's not even finished yet! I'm excited.
I'm flying down for the home opener against the Browns and usually I don't worry about getting tixs, been to about a dozen games and never an issue getting them and at a good price. Think I might have to pay a little more this time around.
That man is the best CEO in Professional Sports. He's amazing. I hope Garfinkel never leaves Miami.. And is a Phin for life. I wish they would give him an honorary Jersey number, I'm dead serious when I say I would buy that Jersey in a heart beat!
