This is ridiculous - http://www.thephinsider.com/2016/8/22/12586240/madden-17-preview-miami-dolphins-season-2016 Spoiler Spoiler It has Miami losing its first 14 games and beating the Bills and Patriots to finish 2 - 14 worst in the league.
LOL ridiculous is the right word. Gotta keep coming back to these predictions as the season moves along.
I think 4-12 is probably more realistic, but 2-14 certainly is possible with the defense the Dolphins will put on the field this year.
I don't know about individual team records accuracy, but Madden has correctly predicted 8 of the last 10 Super Bowl winners.
I think to predict almost any team with only two wins is low. However, I am concerned. Just from the trends I've seen in Pre season--no pressure, not good run defense, no offensive consistency, I do think we might be a 5-6 win team. We need a major upgrade in talent on defense. The Oline is going to need a year to gel. We might have the pieces for the Oline, but they need time. The only other position I feel good about is WR. Hopefully I am wrong. And I very well could be. I would love to be! The good news is, esp after preseason, the expectations for this team are going to be low. It won't take much to surpass them. I guess thats bad news too, in a way! Oh well, we'll know in couple of weeks.
That prediction had to have been with outdated rosters and power rankings. I got my copy of Madden 17 yesterday and played against the Bills with 6 minute quarter. Miami won 28-7, which of course, using the inverse square law of the double-secret extrapolation algorithm, means we will win that game 93-23 this season. phinsiders is wayyyyy off my friends
Nobody has played more madden than me... That said.... Don't ever correlate anything madden to real life.... That's just dispicable. It's a simulation, an extremely flawed one at that. I've enjoyed the franchise/career process for over a decade.... The differential in results from simulating a game, to even an entire season.... Could go one way or the other. I've had teams finish 5-11, only to reload from the start and see them finish 12-4 the next try. If you're going to use EA sports metrics to determine the outcome of real live sporting events..... don't put your money on it. The creators truly gave up trying when they realized they could get away with selling the same product over & over again.
I won the SB with an undefeated season with the Dolphins in 2004 by trading for QB Brad Johnson. It's a freaking video game.
Well, that's it. Madden says we're doomed. Shut down the forums. Lets all find a new team for this season and scout the draft prospects...
I know this will open up a whole other can of worms, but the 79 rating for Tannehill on Madden is a bit harsh. I'd give him a 83-84.
