The fact that the Bills signed Tyrod Taylor to a $90 million/6 year contract after one decent season says a lot about your team's management....
The knock on Tannehill is his red zone performance. He has moved the team from 20 to 20 throughout his career on a regular basis. It's starting to look like the coaching staff finally gets it. I'll take Gase and Tannehill over Ryan and Taylor.
The contract we signed Taylor to has an out to it, it was a very friendly contract for the franchise, and for Taylor as well. And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Miami do the same thing with Tannehill? Sign him to an extention after one decent year?
No. Miami signed Thill after 3 years of steady improvement under circumstances so bad no QB has ever thrived under them.
Besides Nick Foles of course....but thats not important. It sounds so much better when we throw around the word "ever" especially when you haven't the slightest clue about those circumstances. Keep fighting the fictional fight.
Yes I'm serious. Tannehill or Taylor. Which one and why? Taylor is a big play quarterback and has great pocket presense. Tannehill is an athlete trying to play quarterback and hasn't developed a decent internal clock in the pocket after 64 starts in the NFL. Only thing Tannehill does better than Taylor is staying healthy.
If you're serious, then Slapdick was the proper nickname for you. No QB has ever had to deal with the handcuffs that Thill did and thrive. No QB has had a that bad of an oline, not allowed to audible and had no run game. Even one hit wonder Nick Foles had no oline and maybe wasn't allowed to audible, but he still had a running game as the Eagles lead the league in rushing yards and was 4th in attempts, while Thill this past year (for example) had to deal with a worse oline, also not allowed to audible, but we were last in rushing attempts and 23rd in yards rushing. And in spite all of that, Thill is poised to turn heads this season. So yeah, thill far and away over Taylor.
isn't it interesting you follow me around like a puppy. and isn't it interesting you don't want the Dolphin to sign Tannehill long term..... cause that is the post of his I gave thumbs up on.
I can see both sides of a Tyrod or Tanny argument. But no matter what side you are on, if you think its a "no brainer" then you are simply too emotionally invested in the topic. My take? I guess it depends on the surroundings. With our OL issues the past few seasons we NEED a QB who can get out of trouble and make plays. Thats Tyrod. If we have the luxury of a good pocket I would opt for Tannehill. Too many posters dont have it in them to see the other side of the coin. If you do not agree with them? You are a blank blank blank.
You're right. Our OLine sucked *** and if Dareus wasn't addicted to drugs he would have been able to stop the 4th quarter runs that would have gotten the ball back. Yes we got problems but atleast we aren't stuck with Tannehill.
