It is unfortunate what happened to Finn. I hope he can make it back by the Rumble, that would be a hell of a surprise entry.

But I still believe that Rollins shouldve won last night. The guy hasnt had a proper run with a title since he came back. Owens is my guy, I would be ecstatic if he won, he definitely has the character to be a long term champ and we know he can go in the ring better than anyone today. A feud between him and Nakamura or Joe?? Take all of my monies!

Good RAW. I was surprised that Bayley debuted on RAW considering that Smackdown is in desperate need of talent, but they needed to get an opponent for Charlotte and with Sasha and Paige out, Bayley makes the most sense at this point. I enjoyed Dana Brooke putting her fingers in her ears when the crowd was chanting for Bayley. Little things like that make the product enjoyable. Here is hoping Asuka goes to Smackdown.

I have no idea what that Titus/Darren Young segment was looking to accomplish. Darren Young had some positive momentum with this character but sticking him BACK with Titus does neither of them any good. You have to let them go in separate directions and see what happens. We already know that Titus and Darren together, doesn't work. Move on.

Braun Strowman's opponent gave the weirdest in ring interview I may have ever seen. I wonder if it was ad libbed or if someone forced him to say that. Either way, I chuckled.

Roman Reigns, in his current form, is perfect. Let him perfect this version of him and ride that momentum to wherever you need to go.

This is probably Jericho's best work in the WWE, ever. I assume he accidentally costs KO the championship next week.

Sami Zayn might be my favorite in ring performer in the WWE right now. The dude tells a story in the ring better than anyone since Shawn Michaels. His emotion, psychology and match build is through the roof. Two of his matches this year are my top two candidates for Match Of The Year. The only person that can even touch him right now is AJ Styles.

Weird send off for The Dudleys.

Rusev would be a fun opponent for Brock to beat up for a PPV or two. Big man can bump and they have kept him pretty strong overall. I have seen the match in person before and know that Rusev can take his fair share of german suplexes.

I think Joe goes to Smackdown if and when he gets called up. I don't think he jumps anytime soon though. I think his current deal allows him to book indy dates and keep his name. If he signs a main roster deal, I think they have to go back and negotiate terms.

Saw parts of RAW last night but liked it. I was surprised Bayley showed up on RAW too but if that means matches with Sasha, Charlotte and Paige (if/when she comes back) that's better than having her wasted on Smackdown with the dead weight over there. Plus Smackdown is going to be the Nikki Bella show again, which is fine. It's a shame Becky isn't on RAW.

Only thing I did not like last night was that the Dudleyz were sent off in the fashion they did. Apparently they have been trying to negotiate a new deal with WWE and couldn't come to terms so theyre done with the company, probably will go indy again.

But apparently the attack by Luke and Karl was Bubba and D-Von's idea, the Dudleys wanted to give them some heat before they left the show. Still deserved a better send off than that.

Smackdown is going to have to rename their show Total Diva's Live and we can expect scenes like this in between matches...

Becky needs to be traded to Raw.. Though honestly she's become the Bray Wyatt of the women's division... That lady is usually the best performer on the ring, yet she loses more than wins.. Pretty sad.

The Miz cut the promo of the year on Daniel Bryan on the Smackdown post show (Smack Talk). Seemed like a shoot promo too. That good.

  14. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Worked shoot, for sure. Lot of truth in that spiel, but ultimately, everyone needs to remember that if it is on TV, then it was made for TV. IT is extremely rare that an unscripted/unapproved promo makes it way onto their broadcasts these days. Same goes for the action in the ring. People thought Brock went into business for himself (including Jericho), but common sense tells you that if that had actually happened, the feed would have been cut and the replays taken down, among other measures and actions.

Anyway, Smackdown was pretty good this week, as was RAW, to be honest. I still need some actual diversity between the two shows though other than different wrestlers, colors and graphics. It really would have been better to put the cruiserweights on Smackdown and have all the women on RAW. Maybe even put the tag teams on RAW since that show is three hours and have four distinct divisions (U.S. Title, Universal Title, Women's Title, Tag Team Title) and three distinct division on the two hour show (Cruiser, IC, World).

A RAW roster with The Club, New Day, American Alpha, Usos, Breezango (vastly underrated combo), Vaudevillains, Enzo/Cass, is a really solid tag team division. Not to mention the jobber teams like Ascension, Shining Stars, Hype Bros and a few others, that can be used for whatever.

Similarly, Charlotte, Sasha, Paige, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Nia Jax, Naomi, Nikki, Nattie, Alexa Bliss and the rest, would make fo rone of the deeper Women Divisions ever. Instead...both are suffering from a lack of talent beyond one or two players at the top. Bummer.

Oh well...the CWC comes back on tomorrow, which makes me happy. It is going to suck when this tournament is over.

Yeah the wrestlers are so fearful of their jobs nowadays that if they ever went off script in a promo or match they would be canned immediately like Brad Maddux. Even speaking out against the company gets you fired (Joey Styles). Titus was actually lucky he didn't get worse than a suspension for grabbing Vince on the live Network feed (which the WWE edited out right after it aired). With the WWE being the only game in town unless you're a big name and can get good indy gigs and overseas in Japan then you have to be a company man/woman.

The Jericho thing was so silly if you think about it. The guy has been in wrestling for 25 plus years you'd think he'd know better.

Titus didnt get fired because of the bad PR Baclash Vince wouldve received firing a black man for grabbing his arm.

I'm sure that had something to do with it as well as Titus being well liked backstage and being a good company man doing a lot of PR stuff for charities etc. Fact remains that 95% of the wrestlers backstage are afraid to pee without asking permission so no Miz didn't go off script.

That was actually pretty good though... the women division are doing work in Smackdown. Still think they could send some of them to RAW though, specifically Becky. But I think Becky may be the women's champ for Smack Live soon.

Hilarious stuff especially when he said he will take on Goldberg, and when he said he can smell what the Rock is cooking and it smells like sweet garbage.

    Some Meltzer news:

If Balor didn't get hurt he was going to face Kevin Owens at Clash of the Champions with the finish leading to a Triple Threat match at the Hell in a Cell PPV against both KO and Chris Jericho.

Before Reigns got suspended the plan was for RAW to get the WWE World Title and have a Reigns vs. Rollins match at Summer Slam and Smackdown would have gotten the newly created title with AJ Styles being the one who would win it. Balor would have made his debut at Summer Slam against Chris Jericho.

With that being said I'd be shocked if Styles doesn't beat Ambrose at Backlash and win the title.

Daniel Bryan coming back would be in a role similar to HHH. A special attraction with tons of time in between appearances. It is a long shot, but I would be lying if I haven't already booked out matches in my head for his return.

Also, CWC this week was really good. It is down to the Elite 8 and there are going to be some matches that have the ability to be insanely good. TJ Perkins vs. Rich Swann is going to be hard to keep up with, and Ibushi vs. Kendrick is going to be a crowd pleaser.

Again...if you like wrestling with OUTSTANDING commentary, this is the program for you. IT is the best thing WWE has produced in a long, long time.

Eh.. highly doubt Vince risks it... there's a better chance of Edge making a return than Daniel Bryan, and an edge return is at 0.1%... The CTE stuff gets brutal every month... Even most recently, Tre Mason's mother claims the multiple concussions he has received in his football playing career at college and professional level has setback his brain to that of an 8 year old... of course she's no doctor nor scientist to prove that can happen, but people add into the scare of CTE/concussions every month and Vince would get a beating like no other if Bryan gets a concussion in the ring.

If Daniel were to come back, prepare to watch the safest moves ever performed by two wrestlers in a ring..

Yeah there's no way Edge is ever wrestling again. Edge's neck is so messed up that it's extremely possible if he takes another bump the wrong way he would be paralyzed.

Is this confirmed or are you speculating? If it's confirmed it seems like a major rush job. A match like that should be held off for a big PPV but I guess big PPV matches are sort of a thing of the past now with the Network and all.

Yeah I think it's going to lead to a face turn for Rollins. Fans want to cheer the guy and even though he's a great heel it might be the right time. Fans will cheer Triple H only based on his opponent. They certainly didn't cheer him in his match with Daniel Bryan or Dean Ambrose. Reigns of course but that's because no one likes him.

Looks like Del Rio is done with the WWE. He's been pulled from all of his WWE dates, even after his suspension is done. He only signed a 1 year deal last year. His run was a disaster after the 1st night. It seemed like the WWE didn't have a clue on how to use him. He's fine in the ring, but never really did anything to excite me so I don't think it's a huge loss but definitely a missed opportunity by the WWE.

Also the WWE is running Brock/Orton 2 at a Chicago house show that won't be on the Network. I'm kind of confused as to why they would waste a Brock date on this.

    Just speculating.

Though if you think about it, Triple H is at the point of his career where he's putting guys over. I dont think there's a chance in hell we see Rollins win over Triple H using the pedigree as the finisher. That just isn't going to happen... unless he's allowed to bring the curb stomp back for one match.

The whole point of Rollins using the pedigree as a finisher was to build to an eventual match against Triple H, which was suppose to happen at last year's WM before he got hurt. If Rollins beat Triple H and didn't use the pedigree to win it would be extremely surprising. Not sure why Triple H would put Rollins over without taking his finisher, that would make no sense.
