Good lord this Heath, Rhyno, and buula segment went on way too long.. 15 minutes of nothing.

    SMEHckdown.

Heath and Rhyno are fun as a tag team, and I didn't mind the trailer park stuff, other than that it was missing the payoff of this all being a major ruse by Heath. Maybe that comes in time, but that skit was lacking that element, which could make it hard for some viewers to know if they were trying to play it straight or not, with regards to this being Heath's actual situation.

Fun to see The Headbangers...I guess. They don't look like they have aged one bit.

Intense Miz is really good and I think they have something for him right now. Sticking him with Dolph Ziggler is death, however.

Not sure what that Kane segment was about, but I hope it was a one time thing and not Braun Strowman: Smackown Edition.

Digging Naomi's NEW new look. Her return outfit was cool for the effects, but awful for ring attire. This hybrid of black lights and tight tights is perfect. Her *** is bigger than Yokozuna's.

Hype Bros would be infinitely better as heels. As faces, I cannot stand them and feel that they would be jobbers in the cartoon era of the early 90's, let alone now.

Baron Corbin's stomach disturbs me. Like a skin colored waterbed.

Del Rio is gone. And yet no one cares which pretty much sums up his run with the company.

Del Rio is a conundrum. He has the look, pedigree, skillset and ability to talk and is AMAZING in any federation other than WWE.

Just never truly put it all together there, for whatever reason(s).

Also, I watched Talking Smack last night for the first time. The show suffers a bit from an identity crisis. Half the time, the conversation is in quasi-kayfabe, the other half is everyone outside of their character, just talking like they would in a locker room. It probably needs to decide if it is going to be way or the other.

That being said, AJ Styles had some funny stories about how his kids' friends were never too impressed that their dad was a pro wrestler until they were able to see him on TV with WWE and now he is the coolest guy ever. It is an easy 30 minutes if you are bored and not completely spent on wrestling by late Tuesday Night.

Heard him on various radio shows posted on youtube. Very cool guy, he starts to sound a little wigger-ish when he speaks about rap... But very down to earth and funny guy.

I would be surprised if they let Paige walk, she's still very young and has talent. She has just been a little "off" lately, which is around the time she got together with Del Rio. The WWE is probably thinking with Del Rio gone from the company maybe she will straighten out.

Meltzer reported that the original plans for Del Rio when he came back last October was to pair him with Paul Heyman and push him hard as a babyface.

I wonder why the switch from Heyman to Zeb, but that pairing really really hurt Del Rio and once he was put in the League of Nations Del Rio had no shot to rebound.

It's on POP channel 194 on FIOS. I was trying to find something to watch and ran into that.

They made Matt Hardy act ******ed, it's sad. The Hardy brothers are at the lowest point of their career.

Brian Kendrick vs. Ibushi on CWC this week was a clinic for modern day wrestling psychology.

Ibushi has had his neck surgically repaired, so Kendrick based his entire offense around damaging the neck (including a rude awakening across the top turnbuckle which looked pretty brutal, and an INSANE burning hammer. And every offensive maneuver he did was followed up with a pin attempt because he knows that he can't match Ibushi in a long match. Even had tactics like shoving Ibushi's foot into the guardrail in hopes of getting a count out victory and basically doing anything he can to secure a victory.

Meanwhile, Ibushi, considered by many to be the best wrestler on the planet today, continued to fight back and come up with new moves to counter Kendrick. I had never seen a middle rope German suplex before (not from the corner, but from the actual middle of the middle rope), before finally landing an intense kick/last ride powerbomb to finally put Kendrick away.

    Awesome match.

And an even more awesome moment after the match and credits role when an old friend of Kendrick's joined him in the ring.

Eh, I'd much rather watch wrestlers punch and kick each other all match followed by back and forth finishing moves being traded and kicked out of with the match finally ending on a roll up because one of the wrestlers was distracted by someone on the outside. But that's just me. Who wants psychology? I just want to be entertained with a smile on my face.

And yes it was an awesome match and yes this CWC has been unreal. Thanks a lot Triple H (and Vince for staying the hell away from it).

So you finally got around to watching!

In all honesty, this is probably the best tournament in wrestling history. I think it tops the Super J Cup from the early/mid-90's. It has been THAT good.

Man with no Orton or Cena that PPV was pretty painful to watch, basically an extended Smackdown episode. Even with Orton and Cena, that Smackdown brand is very very light. It also doesn't help that Bray Wyatt is basically a non factor now in terms of people buying into him or being any type of threat. Ziggler should just quit and do the ROH/Japan/TNA tour like Cody Rhodes is doing now.

Not gonna bother to watch, im reading pretty much the same as you posted from everyone... They shouldve just put both payperviews together if they want any chance of getting their audience to tune in instead of Sunday Night Football.

the beauty of the WWE Network is that you can watch at your leisure. I did. Mediocre show...good main event. It was what it was. The equivalent of a decent/good Smackdown or Raw.

Cena Ambrose and Styles at the ring at the same time in No Mercy... if they do this right, this could be an amazing match..

I thought Smackdown had a really good week this week. The Philly crowd helped a ton, but that opening segment was fire, I also enjoyed The Miz's evolution of his character, as well as The Usos turning heel. Heck, even the Slater/Rhyno team is working incredibly well.

And Alexa Bliss is the hottest girl in WWE. A midget that dresses up like aHrley Quinn? Yes please.

I think what Smackdown REALLY needs is a breakout star. That is what seems to be missing. RAW has Kevin Owens, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Seth ROllins a d a few other, upper echelon performers that haven't been around forever. Smackdown has Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles. They really need one of their younger guys to stpe up and make a name for themselves.

Also, the finals of the CWC occurred last night. I won't reveal the results, but I will say that T.J. Perkins's chest was turned into hamburger meat. That looked brutal.

Also, HHH revealed that the winner of the tournament will ALSO walk into RAW as the new Cruiserweight Champion, and revealed the belt. Good two hour special, if you get a chance to watch it.

The tournament as a whole, was way better than I ever expected it to be and helped elevate a bunch of guys into the mainstream of pro wrestling. I really hope they do it again in a year or two.

You have to think when Joe and Nakamura get called up they're going right to Smackdown. Also there have been whispers that Cesaro will be jumping to Smackdown once his Best of 7 against Sheamus is over. I think that would be the best thing for Cesaro as he could be viewed as an upper mid card guy there instead of being lost in the mix over on RAW.

Yeah. Read this earlier. Fascinating and depressing. The morbid part of me wants to shoot X-PAC full of truth serum and have him just spill the beans on everything that went on. For a guy like that to have such heavy remorse, you know they did some crazy things.

I think that was suppose to be the point. They didn't want Owens to drop the title nor did they want Rollins to lose outright, plus Owens is a heel and should win in a screwy way. It leads to either a rematch at HiTC between the two or Rollins to face off against Jericho.

Yes, I really liked that match too. I really wish there was a finish there because I think it could have really elevated those two guys. Especially with the refs trying to stop the match. I dislike Sheamus a lot but he brought his A game and he works best when he's in the ring with another guy that can really dish it back and work stiff. Obviously Cesaro is awesome.

Meltzer is reporting that Rollins might have gotten hurt last night during the top rope gut buster spot. He was having trouble breathing back stage after the match. Hopefully it's nothing too serious and he'll be fine. However IF he has to miss even a few weeks of time, I really hope the WWE uses it for storyline purposes with Kevin Owens calling out Rollins and making fun of him saying you injured Sting and Balor how does it feel or something like that.

Overall I though the PPV was fine, again it just seemed like a better episode of RAW. Didn't like the Women's match, especially having Bayley eat the pin and I get the WWE wants New Day to beat Demolition, I just wish they didn't have to sacrifice The Club for it. Those guys are ice cold now, I just don't get the WWE booking sometimes when you have a hot interesting team and piss it away. Oh well. Everything else went as expected for the most part.

Was it just me or was the crowd terrible all night?

Cesaro & Sheamus was MOTN I think. There was damn good wrestling on the show, but it would've been nice to have an appropriate ending to the best of 7.

New Day vs The Club was a really good match, though I think it was time to put the belts on Gallows & Anderson.

The Women's 3-way was a great match as well, surprised Charlotte retained.

Jericho and Zayn had a fun match, Jericho winning was not expected.

Rusev losing the U.S. Title to Roman seems unwise unless Rusev is moving on to the main-event scene. His work has been second to none IMO. He and Miz have been on fire the last month or so.

Owens and Rollins was a fantastic match. 2016 has been an Indy Wrestling Fan's wet dream. Owens retaining makes sense, especially if you are building up the title and Rollins' chase for it. I love Owens and Rollins, I think Owens is slightly better character-wise, he just makes a great hateable heel. Rollins is better in-ring, barely, both guys are A+ workers. Raw is in good hands if those two guys are at the top.

So we're going to have to change the name of this thread by next week. According to Meltzer, Billy Corgan has until Friday to get money together to buy TNA, if that happens he's going to change the name of the company because TNA is viewed as damaged goods. Right now TNA has more debt than the company is worth. If Corgan doesn't buy it then the WWE is going to buy it just for the tape library and then shut it down completely so either way TNA is gone this weekend.

Best case is the WWE buys it out, puts the tape library on the Network and signs some of the wrestlers to help fill up their main rosters and NXT.

If Billy Corgan is smart... save your money... do not buy that sinking ship unless you are suicidal. You might as well start an independent wrestling school than continue the loser that is TNA, I don't care what name changes he comes up with, it won't make a difference... I see more money to be made starting a wrestling school than continuing TNA.

WWE buying them is the best thing for both companies. WWE needs more wrestlers and TNA is done.
