I personally think our next great QB will wear # 14. Griese wore # 12 and went to the HOF, Marino wore # 13 and went to the HOF, so it's quite logical our next HOF QB will be # 14. :)

As bleak as Tannehill's career in Miami looks today, I'm not giving up on him yet. The season is only 25% finished, all eyes will be on Tannehill from now on and he knows it. If he continues to regress this season, I definitely would support cutting him in the off-season. But I wouldn't be surprised though if he elevates his play knowing his career is on the line. There's still a lot of football left to be played, every single player and coach should know their future in Miami is uncertain and for good reason. We are a pathetic football team right now. I guess this is what happens when you let guys like Clay, Vernon, and Miller walk for bums like Mario, Cameron, and Foster. No good teams bleed homegrown talent like us, Tannenbaum is a disgrace. Would much rather have OV under-performing under the tag right now than wasting time with Wake/Williams. OV is 25 for Christ sakes, at least I can root for him in NY, he's better off there anyway.

It was not too much to ask him to take over and make up for a bad defense. He had all the assets to his disposal. 4 first round offensive linemen and a plethora of WR's. He even had the ability to audible. And what happens? The same mistakes over and over. It is sad, because he is a nice guy

He is tough...but the best decision for this organization is to let things play out and part ways in the offseason.

It doesn't matter whether you or I give up on him. What matters is when Gase gives up on him.

I think if they do that, let him play all 16 games then let him go, they are making a huge mistake for the team. You have to play Doughty or Moore to see what you have the last 4 games. Otherwise, this season was a complete waste.

I wonder a what game does he get a chance? Let's face it, there has been a decent run at late-drafted qb.s

Ryan Tannehill is an excelent athlete with a strong arm. He is a great guy and represents a franchise well. I hope he remains the Dolphins starting QB for years to come.

Hey Shane (Resnor) I see you like to see how many people you can get banned. What is your problem. I sure wish we could meet for a beer someday....

    - Line-of-sight throws with minimal arc and good velocity (e.g. deep comeback throws to sideline, aka 'The Hartline')
    - Good accuracy imo
    - deep throws to receivers who are wide open (this has improved since his rookie year, imo)

Buuut, he also excels at acting like he doesn't take this stuff too seriously when there's a dropped TD... and smiling on sidelines when offense is doing poorly or we are losing.

Then there is his complete lack of urgency in time-sensitive game situations like 2 min drills when trailing. In his first three years he used to take 40 seconds to get a play off in a no huddle with a minute left on the clock and no time outs, I mean he'd use the entire play clock as if he was trying to run out the clock not preserve time. Now he is better.... he only takes 30 seconds between plays when every second counts. ****er is slow, man. Slow to the line. Slow through his progressions. Slow to pull the trigger.

    S-L-O-W

But yeah, he has arm talent and can hurdle a bench.

He has been very good when the play goes according to the script. You see it when the OL give him time and the receivers run their routes properly.

What he has really struggled with is making something out of nothing, or correcting for the mistakes of others.

The first two games he played pretty well in taking what was available against tough defenses. But in the last 2 games the OL has been letting through pressure and the WRs haven't been creating separation and he hasn't been able to pull rabbits out of a hat.

You can pound sand. I'm not Shane Falco. You pm-ed me, and I told you the same.

You, however, are clearly a former poster who's been banned before. Hopefully they repeat it on you.

Disagree here, he doesn't have the touch nor the ability to change arm angles enough to warrant that grade..

    He's a pendulum.

I mean it when I say his right arm is a pendulum, going right and throwing left is more about body dexterity, we know he has arm strength, but that's different then arm talent.

If you recall when you seem him try to complete certain screens, where he can't change his arm angle and he kind of just heaves it with his body, he may have hit sims on a lob once but the way his arm slot works mechanically it is not conducive to touch throws at all..he struggles mightily..

Pendulum is the best way I can describe how Ryan cocks and releases his passes, so I do believe he has mechanical issues as well.

I've heard he makes a mean half time orange.

He's shocking and must be left on the side lines for a couple of games to think about where he should be after three seasons.
