we need an OL whisperer AND a QB whisperer not just a QB whisperer cause we can put whoever you want at QB they still aren't going to do anything with this OL.

Not with the OL today. The oline was plenty good enough at pass protecting before the injuries set in. Albert was to be expected but Turner and Dallas havent been starting until this week. Those 2 are the worse LT and LG in the league. I dont hold the pathetic blocking of our line against Thill, the coach or the running backs. Stick Tunsil at LT and the improvement wouldve been extreme from what we seen today. Turner is the worse T in the league but most of us knew that before today. Nobody should be surprised by what happened today. Getting Tunsil back and at LT and a decent LG would make a massive difference.

The line isnt good by any means but the pass protection has been pretty good when the oline is healthy. Thill at times has had outstanding protection. Its mind boggling that a guys strength is throwing on the run and has good speed and the worse LT and LG in the league today and he ran to his right to buy himself extra time how many times today?

You are jinxing him. Two years in a row you claimed he'd be top 10
And he's gotten worse each time.

Now you're claiming he's our qb for the next 10 years? He's gonna retire now

The sad reality of the offensive line is that this is the unit that needs to be blown up first this offseason. We already knew we lacked LB's and corners, but you need to start with this. Tunsil is the only lineman worth keeping. The other starters are either always injured (Albert and Pouncey) or injured and ineffective (James). Bushed is a journeyman. You cannot go into every camp thinking they will be healthy and then by week 1, having to depend on your lack of depth.

However, I will take this one step further. I wonder what the plan would be to execute this? Would cutting Albert and James contribute to cap savings? I assume you would trade Pouncey? Is this even reality because the Herculean effort it would require to rebuild the line. However, again Miami has gotten burnt with this line for years now and CANNOT depend on this personnel

He is top ten when he gets protection. Only in Miami is building an offensive line more time consuming than building the pyramids in egypt

you have to take him out to see if he IS the problem or not. Same ole same ole for 5 years and everything around him has changed, he is the only constant.

He has his flaws and to me they have been glaring for a couple of years. But I really see no real reason to put in Moore, however I will be all for playing Doughty the last game or two.

We know Ryan won't be here, need to know if Doughty can be a reliable backup in 17.

Luck got sacked 5 times, but threw for 300 plus yards, 2 TD's and led his team to victory.....

However, if you as a franchise have decided to move on from Tanne, what is the sense in playing him?

If you're going to move on, then you should move on, start preparing for next year, who are the possible QBs for next year?

The team might not be in a position to draft a QB high, for whatever reason, so why not see if Moore can be the interim guy, in his last 9 starts with the Dolphins he has a 6-3 record with a dumpster fire of a team not unlike this team, perhaps he can run Gase's offense better, stranger things have happened, and that's an understatement.

I don't really see the sense in playing a player that you have already decided to move on from, not saying they have already made that decision, but if they do, he shouldn't be playing, because that is spinning your wheels on purpose, and no way to run any successful organization imo.

    Just my 2 cents.

I think politics may have something to do with it. Also, regardless of reality...the organization can't make a "throw in the towel" move like that at this point. That locker room would be a mess, the effort would be even worse, and asses wouldn't be in the seats.

That's almost every QB that makes it to the NFL.If everyone Tanny passes up to get into the top with protection, got protection, Tanny would be right back in the middle like he is now. Wilson doesn't get protection. Neither does Luck. Rivers has been getting killed as well.

This is where we disagree on this, imo going with a guy you don't have any faith in is throwing in the towel, all the players will know that changing the QB is the HCs way of trying to light a spark, and in truth I think many of the players, WRs in particular, will be excited by the move, actually creating more energy on the field.

When something continues to not work, everyone welcomes change.

Wilson gets protection. The Seahawks have the best offensive line coach in all of football. And the colts line is much better when our online is injured. When our oline is healthy we have the better oline. As for qbs although its true that all qbs play better how many throw 16 in a row at a regular clip she they get protection. He is a top ten QB when given the tools to play. Take away the tools and what do you expect? Keep dreaming of some fantasy QB thT can do something with our team when its in this shape

Nonsense. The one line that can claim to be worse than Miami's (up until this year) or just as bad, is Seattle's. Wilson's time to pressure is/was as bad or worse. % of Pressure per dropback same.

Your points make sense, but from their point of view the team can't appear to crumble this early and risk the PR nightmare of 'X' playing 10 times worse and risking losing more fans permanently that they simply can not afford to lose.

At this time he still appears to be our best chance to win on any given Sunday, can't make a move this soon.

Maybe by the end of the season whomever is behind center will be crushed into a fine powder and the FO will realize that certain players on the line should not be on the roster.

That's a good point, and I would not advocate making the move until the FO has made the decision to move on, but if the booing and calling for Moore gets worse, that kind of forces your hand a little bit, "we want Moore" will turn into "Tanne sucks" chants, and not changing QBs could lead to losing fans.

It's a slippery slope filled with obstacles for sure.

Losing fans might be just what the organization needs. Sooooo many bitter fans. I often mistake the mains for a domestic violence forum.

...and let's be honest. When the TV would pan across the stadium seating. Have you ever seen a group less deserving to be in that beautiful, pristine venue? It looked like weight watchers was having a mixer with alcoholics anonymous.

I'll take it one step further.. losing fans is just what the NFL needs!

Too many controversies, political statements by players, questionable ethics and integrity, etc..

And it seems to be finally catching up with the NFL:

I would love to write, but I'm not cut out for stand-up just yet. I'll tell you guys a story from when I told some jokes at a Hawaiian open mic.

It was midway through an epic mushroom bender and my hippy friends dragged me to this lovely coffee shop full of goddesses and their fledgling heterosexual potential mates. Some elder hippie couples were in attendance, as well. Lovely, spiritual people just enjoying the music.

I open with a great joke by an obscure comic named Judy Tenuta.

"Show of hands, how many people stayed in a relationship... because you were too lazy to commit suicide..."

    Silence, horror, atomic bomb...

It was the kind of bomb that only a seasoned comic could appreciate in its rich textures like a fine wine.

You're using bs stats. PFF or FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS. The design of the offense and wilson's playing style accounted for half the pressures that PFF and FO don't differentiate for. They are a run heavy team with a top ten run blocking unit that plays off the run by looking for big chunk yardage plays, plays that take a long time to develop. Our oline cant hold a block for two seconds. Their oline can't hold a block for four seconds. Big difference. Watch the games don't read the numbers. They switched it up last year and went to a short passing game and presto you had the second half stats which saved his season from being a disaster. That and the crappy defenses he faced in the second half

Nonsense. I already addressed that with "time to pressure" these were not long developing plays that allowed pressure to creep in, this was time to pressure from snap, and Seattle's was bad (when the stats were available). Time to sack Wilson's was longer because he's better at avoiding pressure.
