I dont know man i have heard that line time and time again and it seems that in most cases yes they can be worse.
I would like us to go get guards, not more left tackles. Guards open holes and push people back, tackles mostly redirect people. We need guards so we can stop having left tackles play guard.
I think Thomas and turner were probably guys that played well in practice when they knew what to expect but sucked on game day when they didn't know what to expect. I think that's why they stuck around so long. I think gase figured there has to be some guys out there on practice squads or unsigned who can do better. It just may take awhile to find them
I don't have a problem with tackles playing guard. I think that's a strategy that Green Bay has used successfully. Our problem is the quality of tackles we bring in sucks no matter what position they play.
