    Seems right.

We did have about 2 of 5 games (our first two) with decent oline play. Since then I bet we've been worse by a lot.

Ironic because that is what Philbin did then was marked for not having faith the QB, which is why we brought in Gase.

This could look like a home game for the Steelers this week. If the offense continues to look anemic the "we want moore" chants will be even louder. Maybe throw in a few "Gase sucks" chants as well. How many (Dolphin) fans do you think will show up for the Jets game after suffering through that? One of the reasons Kaepernick is starting is because that stadium has become a ghost town. Florio made a point that 4 straight home games can be tough because if you don't start winning fans will get bored by the end of it and stop showing up. The problem for us is we can't do nothing but at the same time I don't see Moore invigorating anybody, especially if we're already 1-6 at that point.

One thing to point out, Moore did do exactly that the last time he was a starter for this team, he took over for a winless **** show and went 6-3 down the stretch, he's an avg QB, but he's a gun slinger, players do respond to that, so it's possible if Moore has anything left in the tank.

I pretty much agree with everything you said except the bolded, Steelers fans will show up in force, they always do, everywhere, but it will be easy to get tickets for this game.

    It could be the worst lost we have suffered in a while, Steelers are starting to hit their stride, we are going in the opposite direction, this game has all the makings of a "John McKay" quote festival;

    "Can't stop a pass, or a run...otherwise we're in great shape."

It bothers me that they (the national media) have picked us to be the worst team in football. Because what they are doing now is challenging your physical and your mental capacity and my ability to coach you. Now, this hurts me. Second-worst team, I could stand it. But not the worst team.

"We didn't tackle well today but we made up for it by not blocking."

"Emotion is highly overrated in football. My wife Corky is emotional as hell but can't play football worth a damn."

"If you have everyone back from a team that lost 10 games, experience isn't too important."

“I’ll probably take a little time off and go hide somewhere. We will be back. Maybe not this century, but we will be back and we will be a better football team.”

On how badly the Bucs looked in losing to the Steelers, 42-0, “There were times I felt like leaving the stadium and hitchhiking home.”

What do you think about your teams execution? "I'm in favor of it."

Yup, that's true. But since we KNOW he's not our future franchise QB, it would be a waste to have him invigorate the team only to lose out on a high draft pick. We're definitely not making the playoffs.

Also.. not sure if it's true or not, but I don't think Moore is as good as he once was. No way to tell except to start him and see, but I don't think he'd do as well as last time based on the few times we've seen him since. Just my opinion..

When the fans were chanting "we want Moore" I thought I saw Moore trying to get a "no, we want Doughty" chant going. I think Moore loves his role of getting paid millions of dollars to be a glorified fan with great seats and all access.

The thing with Moore is like you said, we have to start him and see, because the last time he actually played meaningful snaps in a game was in QB17's rookie season, he got injured early and left the game, Moore was 11-19 131yds and a TD, no INTs, we beat the steJ 30-9.

Since that game in 2012, Moore has 11 att, so it's really impossible to gauge where he's at, and it took him a few games in 2011 to get into the swing of things, but down the stretch there Dolphin football was exciting again.

I think this would be the worst year in franchise history to have a Cam Cam year, this fan base is on the verge of revolt, they are a powder keg waiting for something to light the fuse, and continued ineptitude is the fire, this franchise, and fanbase needs this season to end on some type of positive note in the worst way.

I don't think it matters that Moore isn't the answer, if he could get out there and generate some excitement from the players, win some games, like he did in 2011, then you put a hold on the revolt, get some positive feelings about Gase, etc.

This fan base is angry right now, they will have their pitch forks there for this game, if things go bad they are going to NEED to plunge that pitch fork into something, and right now, that something is QB17, and he doesn't have to suck, all he has to do is not be as good as Ben, lol, sad but true, we are at that place now.

How many 3 and outs before the "boos" and "we want Moore" chants start?(how fitting is that chant, you can leave Matt out of it, "we want more") This franchise could basically be forced to bench QB17, if the fans start booing when the O takes the field, you really can't operate like that, and if QB17 and the Dolphins continue like they are, that will happen.

I also think, if you are convinced QB17 isn't it, that you need to get a read on MM to see if he can be the "hold down the fort" QB next year, as the Dolphins may not be in a position to start a new QB next year, for whatever reason.

I can remember this, I wanted to see more Moore at the end of the 2011 season, he may not be a physically gifted as QB17, but he's a true QB, and a better leader in the small sample. The team definitely responded to his leadership in 2011, that was clear as glass, and I was excited by the prospect of Moore in 2012, he had earned the starting job.

The Dolphins actually broke one of the cardinal rules in 2012, because you don't bench a QB that has earned the starting spot without letting him lose it on his own. MM actually out played QB17 in preseason that year, Philbin said " if you got 2 guys and they are close, we're going to play the younger guy", MM got shafted really.

This has always stuck in my craw, MM legitimately won the starting job, I wanted to see what would happen with that in 2012, maybe he would of tanked, who knows, but then again, maybe we would have had a playoff birth, and the real truth is, because of all this crap, the jury is still out on MM, last time he was the starter, he gave fans hope, he's had 31 att since then...

    .. and hopefully Tannenbaum.

You remember what you said in the other thread about how maybe Ross might make the kind of changes we're hoping for IF we really fall in the abyss? If the failure is so great you can't sugarcoat it.. I agree the likelihood of making major changes increases.

I guess the reason I don't want Moore to invigorate the team is because it might lessen the probability of fixing bigger problems at the end of the season, like Tannenbaum. You're right about the pitchforks.. we just need those pitchforks at the end of the season.

Tell Prez that. That said, what happened against Ten is one of the worst examples of OL play in the history of the game. It was bad. Jawuan James our safe OL first round pick decides he is going to try and block the guy already blocked. ajayi watches the guy run by and thinks, hey wasn't Jawuana gonna get that

Perkins tweeted that he couldn't tell if James had lost his starting role from practice or not. I predict he'll be benched for at least a quarter.
