Nolan said that Season 1 is in many ways, a prequel story for what's to come. I'm not exactly sure what that means. but I imagine the show may expand beyond the Westworld theme-park. People have joked that WW is a Blade Runner prequel. Would be interesting if they go down any similar roads.
Yeah, but at the same time, airing this show in the fall is a bad idea. The Walking Dead and NFL own Sunday nights. Given how much HBO has invested into the show financially, airing it in a date where it can succeed and get stronger ratings makes sense (even though that's not why it's going to be delayed). Crazy finale... Still trying to wrap my head around some of the threads it connects to earlier in the season.
TWD is on its way out IMO. The concept is already worn thin and there's only so much filler people will put up with every season.
Ratings for TWD are falling steadily so far this season. I think Westworld could overtake it. A few weeks ago I was watching TWD on Sunday night and then watching Westworld on DVR. It's the opposite now. Westworld is much better and I think people will see that.
man that's dope AF. That was an awesome episode, and Ed Harris is amazing....when she says shes waiting for William to save her his Spoiler facial expression and monologue explaining how he is William was both fascinating and heart breaking for poor Delores
I thought the show started, and ended well. The middle shows seemed to drag a bit, but a lot of that set up paid off in the end. This is a show that I love to research on the internet, but also hate it because a lot of the theories that were put out there, ended up being true and sort of ruined the reveal, in some ways. Like, for example, I am not sure I would have picked up on the two timelines if it weren't for reading about the show on various sites. Had I not, it would have been a pretty big moment last night when it was revealed.
But that one host who was in both time lines (not Teddy, the guy that MIB bled from that tree) really would have made u question who William is. That and the "investment" in Delos angle. thought it was a nice end to a good season. Was hoping that Maeve would get out but apparently Ford scripted her staying around. He got to her code and kept her in WW. Dont know how there can be another season though. U guys did see snake tatoo lady after the credits right?
Spoiler I believe Hopkins only signed onto one season - if he is coming back for round 2, that needs to happen asap for the writing. Most likely scenario is that he is dead, and has set the creations free. What really I question is Maeve's role. Like, what was the point? Samurai World looks cool though. Opens up the idea that perhaps this consciousness will spread to other parks.
The theory is Maeve was programmed last second by Ford to go to the outside, I think there was mention of something she was supposed to do when she got out, but then she finally really did have free will and as she got off the train decided herself to stay? No clue...
Just finished this, great show. The only parts I didn't like were Beavis and Butthead helping Maeve. Other than that, fantastic. and Ford was the one reprogramming Maeve. How else do you explain his complete lack of reaction to Bernard being at the dinner, after what happened in cold storage?
