The agent for unsigned and suspended receiver Chris Henry confirmed that he's had conversations with the Bengals. Henry could re-sign with Cincinnati and be eligible for Week 5. We've been privately rooting for a "reunion" of sorts with Henry, Tank Johnson, and Pacman Jones in Dallas, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards right now. Rotoworld.com
Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. They just spent a 2nd round pick on Jerome Simpson, a 3rd round compensatory pick on Andre Caldwell, and a 7th round compensatory pick on Mario Urrutia. What in the hell did they spend all those draft picks for if they're just going to bring Henry back?
Never trust a Florida receiver and Coastal Carolina isn't exactly Wide Receiver U. Henry is an upgrade over what they have and would welcome him on my team anyday. The guy is a talent and just as much as a problem ( and has as much talent ) as Brandon Marshall who currently is employed by a team.
Well, that reunion could happen at the Dallas Fort Worth County Jail if the Bengals play Dallas this year...
Those three have been impressive in camp but not adequate for the number three job. Caldwell isn't ready and Simpson will probably need two more years of development before he can get game-action.
That's their fault passing up guys like DeSean Jackson, Malcolm Kelly, Limas Sweed, Mario Manningham, and Early Doucet, then.
Much like his time here, Cameron doesn't make the decisions in Baltimore. It's out of his hands. Moral of the story: the Bengals need a full-time scouting department ASAP.
A possibly interesting move by the Bengals. Chris Perry could end up the starting tailback for them. I think its interesting because they still have Watson and Rudi Johnson on that team. Watson is a good player and Johnson is coming off of injury as well as Perry. Perry has looked good this pre-season imo, I liked what I saw in him against the Packers. He catches very well so that's a huge key for their offense. Last time he played extensively, he caught 51 passes and he helped them get into the playoffs. He has potential as a number one back imo. He can carry a workload with his 6'0, 220+ pound frame. I just worry about his health. He's never played a full season. If he can stay healthy, he would be a big key in their success this season.
I had Rudi Johnson in a fantasy league a few years back and Chris Perry just totally screwed me by how good he was. The guy has enormous potential if he can stay healthy but I also thought Kenny Irons (I believe that is his name) could too so we'll see.
Perry, when healthy, is a very good back imo. But that's the big thing, when healthy. Yeah, I like Irons a lot but he's always injured like Perry. He's not on the team anymore though, they waived him. He's a FA.
I find Henry a bigger problem than Marshall and I don't think he's as talented as Marshall. Marshall is a much better player imo.
