I didn't say 4 wounded duck TDs. Go back and read it again.

I dont recall seeing moore check out of one thing at the los...looked to me like we literally stuck with gases call every time

Which gave moore more time to verify protections...we almost got caught a few times on those with the play clock but some of thats just rust

But i didnt see the full freedom at the los stuff with moore...smart move if you ask me

i was real glad they got away from the zone read given there was no qb threat...ran one of those early completely murdered by the edge williams and i was like adam has to know better than this right?

Think i saw it a few times late running out the clock...no big deal given the game situation

And that's your formula for Moore. You have to play good defense, which allows you to have offensive balance, and Moore has to be productive with that limited number of passes, which he was last night.

Moore can't be put in a position where the opposing defense knows he has to pass. But that's true for all QBs to some degree or another. All of them are less effective to varying degrees when opposing defenses don't have to be honest against the run.

The special teams TD really helped last night, because it put this sort of pressure on Petty, while taking it off of Moore. That margin on the scoreboard in the Dolphins' favor pretty much ended the game. Petty and the Jets unraveled from there.

If Tannehill plays the exact same game Moore does yesterday, Rock, Key, Dolphin25 and the rest of them spent the week dissecting the win and explaining how he got ton of help from his WRs and Defense etc, But since RT isnt under center it's solely a phenominal QB game and he is doing things Tannehill can't etc. Not to worry, this was 100% expected. and not even the disgustingly over-exaggerated OP predicted 4 TDs.

The one TD to stills and the back of the endzone to sims were great plays by Moore. the TD to Landry and the TD to sims Knees that got overturned were outstanding plays by the receivers and nothing special as far as the throw is concerned, he got bailed if anything. I love how everyone is going to try and **** on hoops even though what he is saying is true. I didnt happen to see any of the same people who get on Tannehill for locking on WRs at times mention Moore did it for literally EVERY single throw in the game? I wonder why that is. The double standard was predictable and is still funny tbh.

I notice you havent commented on the strength of the opponent nor how much help Moore got, things you all routinely mention about Tannehill.

What you are saying odds are good you cant win a game in the postseason with

gonna need some divine intervention...some things to go completely off script

And if he keeps staring down things even in his drop you arent gonna get there unless we overcome the qb

Our nickel lb situation is as dicey as it gets...jelani was terrible in his run yesterday...this paysinger stuff is begging to be exposed...neville hewitt remains our only real option cause that dime stuff is gonna get exposed

I credit vj for trying different things

Im not sure this team can handle all that buffalo misdirection and run formations sure to come our way

At the same time its week 16 and we are playing for something so thats cool...but our season ceiling would be higher with tannehill

Any team with a game manager QB is going to need a tremendous defense to go far in the playoffs, and you're right, this team doesn't have it, which makes Moore an unlikely prospect to lead it to a Super Bowl.

As soon as the scoreboard tilts too far toward the opposing team, Moore has to pass to win, and I don't think he'll perform anywhere near like he did last night under those circumstances.

He has an eye for the game that I sure as **** dont have. We are lucky to have people like him come to the site. Dont be jelly, its not a good look.

Im shocked. First start in five years and Gase had him stick with the play calls.

Cmon dude. That's not an indictment on Moore.

It and the nickel lb play are probably our death sentence whenever it comes...unless tanny pulls a willis reed

Id really like to see hewitt as the nickel starter paired with kiko

That open space tackle he made of the wr swiping the shoes was a really athletic play

Its literally the last bullet in the chamber...they have to upgrade the range and athleticism

The RT era in Miami is over, as I mentioned earlier in the week, look for the O to be different, watch the dink and dunk disappear, and that is exactly what happened.

RT cannot run Gases O like Gase wants, and that is why the RT era is over in Miami.

If MM continues his good play, he'll be the "caretaker" QB while we draft a QB next year.

The RT era is over because Moore helped lead a win over the worst team in our division with a lot of help... L M F A O.

Since you ignored my bet last time but you seem so confident, please bet on this and the loser leaves the site forever? I'm going on record saying we can win the superbowl with Moore and RT is still starting next year.

a sidenote (I know it's not the right thread, sorry), but Wake is sopmething else, he's having a beautiful season, at his age, after that injury, considering his style of play..... I'm speechless, amazing amazing amazing, and it's sad that he never gets the deserved praise nationally
I mean, as an athlete, as a teammate, as a person he is really a model player, even more considering his background (undrafted, his training regime, etc), I would think the NFL would get him more media attention or something.

I'm feeling good only about the fact that the team seemed to rally around the backup QB and provide for him the circumstances within which to thrive, and that he did so. It shows the team is capable of doing what they need to do to get a playoff berth this year.

I know... I would laugh also if it wasn't so sad. Big win. Back up QB plays great. Defense gets turnovers. ST's make a big play We sweep the hated jets. Playoffs in our future.. yet we have someone who wakes up and the first thing he can type is this rubbish .

It's incredible. It's why I have zero patience for anyone who tries to claim that there aren't anti-Tannehill posters...anyone who tries to claim that posters on here are only trying to point out areas for Tannehill to improve.

There are anti-Tannehill posters. There are posters who hated the pick, and have spent five years trying to justify their hate. Comments like "the RT era is over" after one game by Moore against one of the worst teams in the league is all the evidence anyone needs to see.

It's gotta suck to be so tangled up in trashing Ryan Tannehill that you can't just take a step back and appreciate what Matt Moore did last night. Instead of grasping at straws to make it seem like there's some sort of controversy, just enjoy what happened against the biggest rival we have. In front of the world.

    Y'all are sad.

Great point...it is pathetic that we are even entertaining the thought of a QB controversy when there clearly is none. Did anyone happen to see Moore and Tannehill on the sidelines last night? It sure didn't look like competition to me.

However, we are having these conversations today because of the first 11+ pages of this thread. The one phrase I recall hearing over and over again was variations of-

Well, guess what? Those opinions are clearly wrong- Moore is the real deal and we swept the stinking Jets while showing that. If I didn't get 11 pages of pure hate for even making that suggestion, then we probably wouldn't be where we are now. But people just can't admit when they're wrong so they'd rather argue than celebrate.

To me, that's the most pathetic part of all....you're so tangled up in being scared of Moore, you can't even see that people weren't trashing Tannehill. But regardless of the conversations here, RT17 will start next year and he will probably be better off for this stretch of football watching one of his mentors. That's not controversy.

11 pages of pure hate? Shut the **** up with the whiney bull ****.

Do i need to post 30 quotes from all of us saying We think moore is a phenominal back up and that we hope he succeeds? You comparing his "preparation" to Manning among several of the other complete exaggerations you posted in the OP are still ridiculous don't prove you were 'correct' in any way about anything. It was a bunch of hyperbolic BS and over glorification of someone who HAS never and WILL never start for an NFL team by choice in his career, aside from taking over as a back up. Period.

Wow you couldnt resist. Moore got a ton of help and played great against one of the worst teams in the NFL and you immediately come here asking for apologies, ****ing pathetic.

And no - the opinions arent clearly wrong, because Moore won't be a starting QB for any team next year, or EVER.

Key, you got people "hating" NOT because of positivity towards Moore, but because people thought you were over the top with your assessments.

You know that. Why keep pushing the false narrative?

The problem is this argument can never be over. If MM plays well and gets the Dolphins into the play-offs or even the Superbowl, you have the MM supporters saying "See? " But the problem is that we don't know if RT would have not done the same thing. No proof. Again, if RT comes back in the play-offs and starts and loses in the first round the MM supporters will say "See?" But again, we don't know if MM would have not done the same thing. Even if MM plays a full season and does well, you can't just say RT would have played worse. Of course if RT comes back in the play-offs and they win the SB then the RT supporters can say"See?" but the MM supporters have the same argument.

Look at the perfect season. Would they have been perfect if Griese remained healthy all year? Would they won the superbowl if Morrall played all the games? If you think the team was just that good then maybe it would have not mattered who was QB.

I guess it is a good problem to have with two QBs that are very good.

Key, it's one game. He played great. Nobody said that Moore sucked.. nobody. One game does not prove he is a starter in this league. These are just facts. I don't know why you get so uptight by this. I definitely think he can string a few games together playing really well. You seem so adamant about proving people wrong about this. Most said they were hopeful he played well.. he did. Most will support him because he is our only option right now, a good option to have! Good lord, Scared of Moore??! That's as silly as Finster saying Dolphin fans would be rooting against Moore. Silly

I think the scramble was good, I don't think the throw was anything to write home about. Sims had to make a great play to make that a TD.
