    It really was amazing

    Utterly amazing

This is it...its about adam gase with matt moore

Limiting that exposure...he did everything he could to do just that...and in the first half moore was frankly horrid

We need tanny back to make some postseason noise although gase calls such a strong i know my limitations at qb game that hell why cant we win at houston or indy status quo?

I'm just a really proud dolfan today...we have defeated some demons this year and we are in such good hands going forward

When we hired adam gase i was hoping for sean payton

He is every bit of sean payton and then some...did you see all those different alignments and personnel groupings we threw at the bills?

    He is solid damn gold

And that was exactly what I was hoping for in this game. That, and play a physical game. This team will no longer be bullied by anybody.

    Future is bright IMO.

Not the same though. Tanny is the starter and deserves closer scrutiny.

If you win games with your backup you're happy. It's quite literally a litmus test.

    Jesus you guy's suck.

Ryan Tannehill is a much better QB than Matt Moore, Ryan will start next year. But to keep up the downplaying of two huge HUGE wins on the road vs our division rivals is nothing short of pathetic.

Resor keeps saying 2 Tds are not impressive, when he wasn't impressed with his 4 the previous week anyway, so whats it matter? Drunk Travis claims we wouldve won by 3 scores with RT (another poster shot that down) yet we act like we just happen to forget how terrible he looked at Baltimore not very long ago.

Sad some of you can not just accept that Ryan is hurt and talking about him, comparing him is nothing short of stupid at this point.

We are 10-5, and I have a reality check for some of you...Adam Gase is by FAR more important to this team than any of these 2 QB's, infact I will go as far as saying Jay Ajayi is the most important player on our offense.

Ryan's our guy in 2017 barring MM winning a SB so sit back and enjoy this ride, root for KC and stop being *****es.

    Go Phins.

Was it just me, or was this one of the worst officiating crews we've seen this year? And I know I'm not being biased because we got more no-calls than the Bills....we raped their receiver in the end zone twice right in front of the ref. it was almost comical how much they missed...

I'm ecstatic we're winning. I'm getting *****ed at by you guys, as if I'm in here shredding Moore the way you guys do Tannehill.

All I'm saying is, I'm not saying crazy things, or going after Moore, the way I see posters go after Tannehill, but I've got people in here calling me a fake fan, and accusing me of having a Matt Moore voodoo doll. And the ones saying these things are some of the worst ones attacking Tannehill, and denigrating any performance of his.

    Ridiculous.

I have no dog in this fight and I'm not trying to get back into anything here...but i am going to point out that you (and others) are missing one huge point here- the biggest criticism of Tannehill came when we were losing to teams we should have beaten. For instance, 0-14 Cleveland essentially whipped our asses, yet nobody said a word when we squeaked out a gift of a win. When Ajayi got hot mid-season, Tannehill played average at best...and average is awesome when your D lights people up and we're rushing for 200 a game.

Winning heals all, my friends. I've always said that there are only two stats that matter in football- a "W" and a "L". The rest is irrelevant and there's zero reason for us to be bickering here on Christmas with a 10-5 team that was 1-4 not that long ago.

Sp please- enjoy this win and accept Moore for who he is...an older veteran who plays aggressive and occasionally ****s the bed. While he had some bad tosses today, all that matters is that he finished strong and we got that coveted W...one that very few of us expected (myself included). Merry Christmas fellas!

During the streak, Thill played above average. His qb rating was in the 100s. He was learning a new offense as was everyone else. Once the running game clicked, our offense, including Thill, was humming.

I haven't really weighed in on the Moore thing, but what I've seen is the "Thill lovers" root for Moore but point out his flaws and I've seen the Tannehaters immediately tout Moore after one good game as if they were relieved Thill was out and not playing lights out as he had been.

Its pretty obvious at this point what the agenda is.

well said. I can't believe this stupid thread has gone on this long.

Matt Moore played fine yesterday. Not great, but fine. which is above expectations for playing in Buffalo in December. We won yesterday because we rushed for almost 300 yards and had a few key completions by Moore that completmented the running game.

Right now the falloff from Tannehill to Moore isn't that large, but IMO that gap will get bigger over time.

Why is this thread stupid? How many people in here have claimed Matt is better than Ryan? The title is "Why you should believe in Matt Moore" in which OP gave a solid description of HIS OPINION on why Matt would be just fine....and that was met with some serious resistance from a few posters who just happen to have been unrealistic about Ryan his whole career.

I doubt you will see anything saying he played great yesterday, to me he actually was a little less than a solid caretaker.

Ryan is a better QB undoubtedly, but a few folks seem to forget he has had many more games similar to what we saw yesterday than he has against SF for example. And if you said he needed to improve on X? You were called a Tannehater by a group of dorks.

So O-H-I-O I think you will find that IF this thread is "stupid" it is because of the 20 oz bottle of Salt some of these guy's have that Moore is winning games and overall has played well. Because it is destroying what has been one of the weakest arguments you have ever seen for the past 4.5 years.

This thread is stupid because it's the same circular arguments over and over for 26 pages. Not once have I ever said that Ryan didn't need to keep improving and not once have I ever criticized a poster for saying that (even though I've been pro-Tannehill since day 1).
I've also said multiple times that Moore is playing well under Gase. Love having the guy as our backup.
But to say Moore's play is "destroying" the ongoing debate is a stretch and pretty silly

    Relax.
It's getting pathetic. Everyone agrees that Ryan will be the starting QB next year. Stop this assinine debate already. He's a solid QB that will probably never be elite but it's enough given what Gase is building. Matt Moore maneuvers the pocket better and throws short passes in stride better but outside of that Tannehill is clearly and undebateabely a far superior QB in every facet of the game.

This is a bunch of baloney. You know it. There no agenda or conspiracy in regards to Tannehill. Stop making blanket statements when it's down to one or two posters that may be anti Tannehill, who by the way have every right to be.

There's not one thing I said that was BS and you know it. There absolutely is an agenda and you'd have to be blind as hell not see it.

Let me add, you probably think I'm talking about anyone that hasn't been always pro Thill and I'm not. There's a certain handful of posters with a crystal clear agenda.

I think its unbecoming of a "true fan" to come in here and rain on the happiest moments of being a Phin fan in 15 years because you want to compare our backup QB to our starter.

We are likely going to the playoffs and have a legitimate shot at winning the division as long as Gase is here, I'm excited to be a fan.

Nobody was "relieved" that Tannehill was injured, nor does anyone think Moore is the better option, outside of one or maybe two posters. All this TanneTroll circle jerking needs to stop. He's done enough to warrant another season, even people like myself that soured on him are firmly in his corner. Despite that he still isn't this mythological godlike figure that you and Resnor apparently think he is. I get you've annointed yourself protector of all things Tannehill but enough is enough with the blanket, patently false statements and rigid attitude.

The last part may be true.

But why are we even discussing Ryan? He is on the bench and will be until 2017....and THAT is why this thread is stupid....he shouldn't be a topic, winning two road games in DEC vs 2 division rivals and likely securing a playoff spot should be.

OP was ripped apart in this thread and unjustifiably so. But take note of WHO were the ones angry....yep, those guys........the same ones that have been polluting this board for years now.

Again, I'm pointing out that people are jumping down my throat, and saying I should not say anything that isn't overly positive about Moore...yet the same people were trashing Tannehill for the past 4 1/2 seasons.

And I'm not even remotely coming close to what was said about Tannehill. And unlike the anti-Tannehill crew, I'm hoping that Moore throws 4 tds every week.

I get it, we are talking about the back up, so there is going to comparisons to the starter, and the starter isn't universally loved (that part I don't get, but whatevs), so we get even more (ha!) "vs" talk. Can we just drop the nonsense for a moment and acknowledge what an absolutely stupendous job Matt Moore has done?

Two huge, must win games against division rivals, the last at Buffalo in late December! Our back up earned his money and saved the season. We could, even should, be staring a .500 season in the face, instead we are at 10 wins with a week left to go!

Moore is going to throw picks, he writes checks his arm can't cash. Hence back up. He is also going to kill you if you sell out against the run, and we have the J train. He is going to put 50/50 balls up that the best player gets. We have damn good WRs. He's the best QB we could have had for the situation. Backs that play better than him don't stay backups.

Hewitt also. While he's a tremendous tackler, he was really late on read and recognition for much of the game.

Tannehill had some great games down the stretch- I don't think anyone is arguing that. In fact, he had a string of 4th quarter drives that put us over the top- that's the biggest difference between 2015 and 2016. This team is closing out ballgames.

Moore has played three games so far this year- one was a blowout where he never threw a pass in the 4th quarter. In the other two contests though, he also created 4th quarter drives to earn the W.

My question to EVERYONE here is this- why isn't that enough? Moore is 3-0 as a starting/relieving quarterback and Tannehill is 7 of 8 (if we give them both credit for the Arizona win, which they both deserve). I'm not counting the first five games of the year since we didn't have a line worth talking about.

I started this thread last month to say one thing- we can win with Matt Moore. What more is there really to say? It's December and we're winning.

Because you were so effusive in your praise of him and MM8 was someone a couple of these guys wanted tossed with the bath water a few years ago. Then he comes in and we're still winning in December with the playoffs on the line and the offense not looking like it's neutered ..... you can see why this thread is where it is.

There shouldn't be any talk of who should start next year going on. The conversations should all be centered around this playoff push, how lucky we are to have a capable player like MM8, and how can he continue to get better while he's commandeering the ship.

As a side note ...... man I still remember the day Sparano and Co. brought MM8 in after fans were clamoring for Henne to be challenged back in 2011. I was like "Uhhh Matt Who?" and very pissed off we didn't go out and get Kyle Orton. LOL

Suffice to say MM8 grew on me very quickly when he got his chance.
