I'm with him. One and done by blow out or by losing by a few. It doesn't matter at this point. No one can take away the success we achieved this year with Gase.
I hope they keep the "One Game at a Time" mentality, but no matter what, this season is more than I ever anticipated.
Honestly? I think we'll compete early in Pittsburgh, and then the wheels will come off late. As it often does with young teams on the road in the playoffs. Now, if Tannehill plays? Well, it will get a whole lot more interesting then. But I'm with byroan here. This season was a raging success already. I'm going to enjoy this ride, for however long it lasts. The future is incredibly bright. Fins Up!
I did not even expect to make the playoffs. I do not feel like I have any right to even have expectations.
I am happy Miami made it to the playoffs. Happy to see Miami has finally found Shula's replacement. God damn it took long enough. Even if Miami goes 1 and done this post season, this season is a success and Gace and company can now work on getting some better talent on both sides of the ball. For the first time since Jimmy I am excited and optimistic going into the offseason. For the first time in a long time I can see a legitimized run at dethroning NE from the AFC East title - if Miami is that good the superbowl will follow!!!!!
Im torn on wjat i would do if tanny is ready to play for the pitt game. I think he is the better qb and want to knock his rust off before playing the pats, but i can see value in not playing him yet. Let him get use to the excitement of post season and the intensity of it from the bench. Moore has the veteran experience to stay calm in post season play. If ayjayi is healthy i expect them to ground and pound with play actions to keep the defense honest. After that play bellicheat games by.listing tamny as possible all week but leave moore listed as the starter till late in the week. Force the pats to game plan for both qbs. Keep them off balance. Start tamny and hope he finds his groove on the field fast. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
I just want to beat one more team from the nfc.conference this season. I dont care which one but i want that W Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
How does the NFL decide on times? Just depends on the matchups? I hope its not the 1pm Sunday game. I want Saturday night or the late Sunday game.
Its Pittsburgh (likely) so likely will be Sat night imo due to them being a very very popular team. Looking at it briefly my guess right now? Sat 4P - Det/GB GB/WAS Was/DET Sat 830P - Mia @ Pitt Sun 1P - Oak @ Hou (yes I think KC wins div) Sun 430 - NYG @ SEA The only game that MAY flip imo is an @ GB matchup which would move that putrid @HOU game to that slot and Miami to the 1P slot on Sunday.
This! Season was over 1-4, season was over when we got our asses kicked to Baltimore. Season was over when Tannehill went down. Season was over down 31-28 with 1:20 left. We are still here. I dont expect much, honestly. I can see us beating Pitt, and I am rooting for us obviously, but this season was the greatest season in a long long time, and for once, we have something to be realistically optimistic about
Super Bowl every year. The day I stop expecting that is the day I quit cheering for the team. Giants and Ravens won it limping into the playoffs. Why not us.
To have a laugh at the media who are going to have to at least mention the Dolphins - and to see which ones acknowledge what Gase has done and which ones dismiss them. Bwaaaaaaahahaha!
I think we have a better chance against the Steelers than the Ravens. The Steelers are quite a bit the same as us and Buffalo, run to pass. Ajayi has to be better than Levion, and our defense has to find a way to slow him down.
At 1-4 I thought it was going to be a long season , but Gase has worked wonders with a team that still needs strengthening in many areas . Getting to the playoffs is a major boost and if we can just keep doing what we are doing we have a chance . I hope the team just gives 100% and don't let themselves down .
What do I expect, or what would I be satisfied with? I expect them to surprise people, because that's what they've been doing the last 2/3 of the season. I wouldn't be shocked if they beat Pittsburgh and make it to the second round. However, I'm satisfied now, no matter what happens next week or in the playoffs. The team has changed fundamentally, they don't give up and they actually make plays when it counts. I love these guys, and that's the first time I can honestly say that in almost 20 years.
the key as I have been saying is get the #5 seed and be on the road to Hou (4) and Oakland (2). Pitt has to win next week, we have to win, KC has to lose to SD and Oak has to win if KC wins (or whatever if KC loses). Being on the road with #4 Hou and #2 Oak qb's would give us momentum, hoping that a #6 KC can beat #3 Pitt on the road and then #1 NE. we could then host an AFC Championship.
We're in the playoffs, I don't really care what happens now... all that matters is that we have a very bright future under Gase. That being said, we've been playing playoff football for over 10 weeks now, it wouldn't surprise me if we keep it up and win a couple more.
My expectations are pretty simple. I want to see the defense rebound next week in New England. I want to see Ajayi get angry. I want to see Parker step up. I want to see Wake and Suh swarming all over Brady's ***. And I finally want to see our offense click on all cylinders at the perfect time of the year. From there, I want to ride the J-train wherever it happens to take us. This young and hungry team is so ready for redemption that it gives me goosebumps.
Like the start of the season, I have no expectations...just enjoying the ever living **** out of this ride.
I'll enjoy wondering who we will take with our #20 or higher draft pick. Honestly if we could get Tannehill 10 snaps this week it would be brilliant as I think it would help get the timing down for him. But if he doesn't look decent moving around the complex don't risk it. Hell, I would only give Moore so many snaps and then bring in Doughty and rest as many guys on defense as I can. Keep guys in some form of rhythm and then get them some rest for the next test we have.
I have no expectations. Zero. Just be prepared, have a solid game plan, make adjustments and give 100% from everyone. That's all i can ask for.
Miami has serious issues with stopping the run and allowing big plays on defense. I don't think Hou and Oakland have that based on injuries now. We need to get lucky and play these teams Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
why not us? all we needed was a chance. go hard or go home. i feel we can beat any team out there. we are going to shock the world. i believe we will hoisting the trophy this year
That imaginative side to me believes in Super Bowl fairytale lol. I'm honestly happy as can be to be in the playoffs. I get so much flack from friends and others for following this team, and to see them in the postseason will be beautiful. I'm not sure we beat Pittsburgh, but I'm glad we're playing them and not Baltimore. I really think we can give them a tough game.
I'm generally a pessimist so all I expect is for the team to play hard, against NE, against whoever in the playoffs - leave it all on the field.
I think Suh,Wake, Landry and Ajayi will push everyone else on this team with "Rage" Time to get it while we can! No team is guaranteed a shot- they earn it game by game. Miami up till now has earned every victory! No game was a gimmie. We are here and hungry, take it now while the stars are aligned.
I'd be stunned if Houston wasn't the early Saturday game. That's always the weakest time slot and they tend to put the AFC South winner there because the division was so poor. And if it is indeed Oakland at Houston it's even more likely with the quarterback situation for those teams. I'm guessing we'll be the Sunday 1:00 game. One of those NFC games with the Giants/Seahawks/Packers will probably get the Saturday night prime time game.
Makes sense... Houston sucking may very well trump Pitt's popularity sending us to 1P. Only hang up may be if Detroit wins the division. Then they may slide into that slot sending Hou to 1P us to primetime and Sea staying put with the Sun 4:15. I'm rooting for a Sat game because IF Ohio State makes the National Title game, I will be leaving Sun for Tampa in all likelihood...if it is a Sunday game? I have a decision to make. Pitt is only 3.5 hrs from me, so I feel kind of dirty NOT going.
I think we have a real shot at beating the Pats this next game. If we do that, 5th or 6th seed, we go into the playoffs with a 10-1 run to end the season. Unbelievable. Of course Houston would most likely be the easier team to beat, but we match up well against the Steelers. I'm not expecting anything from this team. They have exceeded all expectations from me. I AM hoping and wishing that we kill the Pats, get a few more bounces, get the #5 seed, and travel to Houston where it is warm and have RT back at the helm. If this team can get past the 1st round and get RT back...watch out.
Who thinks Gase is saving something for the playoffs? Grant in the slot? Parker with some 50/50's? Different defensive look? Sometimes you cannot show all your cards at once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
