We were thin as it was, but now that Abdul-Quddus is injured is anybody else concerned about our safeties? If Quddus can't go, who would you rather see? The more experienced Thomas or the more athletic Aikens? I saw them both in our last game, but I am not sure who graded out higher. Thoughts?
I'd say Michael Thomas due to experience. Though, I must say, if there was ever a good week to be without IAQ, it'd be this one.
Anyone who watched Baccari Rambo lately should certainly be. Especially with the likes of Tom Brady, Big Ben and Alex Smith on the horizon. All very smart QBs who can exploit weaknesses.
If IAQ is out, then we're definately in trouble. Our defense has a tendancy to get shredded even with him, but his absense would really hurt.
Our defense has been held together with duct tape and spit for half the season. We just need to hold teams to field goals and not touchdowns. Teams are going to gain yards. We don't have the talent to prevent that but in the red zone we can make the shorter field our advantage. It's going to take an A plus game from everybody but we may get lucky.
all comes down to getting pressure on the qb. vj will have to be prepared with a plan to mask our weaknesses
Barry is saying Thomas is going to get the nod. I am not surprised. He does have experience, but I think he has maximized his potential although I hope I am wrong. I was sort of hoping for Aikens. I like his size and athleticism, but I trust our coaches. If they don't think he is ready, he probably isn't. Thanks all for the thoughts!
