Cut Noah and sign Charles Oakley. I'm sitting here lmao at Oakley fighting Knicks security guards right now on national tv. I LOVE IT!!! They all look scared to death of the old man.

I don't think ESPN got word of the streak because I haven't seen anything about it in that site.

Anyway, Miami has been a reliable bet. I've hit my last 6 parlays.

Good for Oakley. Someone needs to confront Dolan, and that's more life than any of the other Knicks have shown this year.

This has been a long running thing with Dolan and Oakley. Oakley didn't feel he was treated well by the organization (he wasn't) and supposedly reached out to Lebron in 2010 and said not to sign in NY. The Knicks relationship with Oakley has been contentious ever since. Ducking Folan (see what I did there? That's been a t shirt at NYK games before...) is a curse.

One of the thumbnails below was on Oakleys wiki page before it was removed supposedly. And Isola makes a good point (for once)

Not a coincidence Lebron shows support for Oakley. IMO Oak genuinely cares about the Knicks and wants Dolan gone.

Heat with the longest winning streak of the year after being the second worst team isn't news but the warriors owner being butthurt that MJ doesn't respect 73 wins is a headline.

Where did @section128 go? I'd love to hear his commentary on this.

Frankly I don't know what to make of it. Are we just due for some hardcore revision to the mean? Is this a testament to Eric Spoelstra as a coach? Are we screwing ourselves out of a lottery pick or maximizing trade value for some of these guys? What on earth do we take from this moving forward and how do we look at this team for the future?

I've never been so confused by a team that I follow in my life.

This is Spoelstra giving a middle finger to all his doubters, to Lebron, and other players, fans that want him fired all those people that questioned his coaching ability. The guy is a top 5 coach, period.

By the way today marks a year since Bosh last played a game... so we should expect announcements soon about his release/retirement

This is a crazy, crazy run right now.

They're shooting the three ball the way the front office envisioned they would when they put these guys together. They're making like 11 or 12 a game over this stretch.

Their defense is probably the best in the NBA over the stretch.

But what's really been interesting to me isn't the fact that shots are falling or they're defending the way we've seen Spoelstra teams defend before plenty of times.

What's struck me is the offensive and all-around savvy in everything they do. The way the ball moves, the way they set screens, little things like hand use, off ball movement, the way they use pace opportunistically, etc. I'm not sure they looked this well coached even during the Lebron championship years. I remember Pop's teams always looking like this, particularly against the Heat, and it was maddening.

They're doing all this with Chris Bosh still holding a ton of their cap space. Which they should get lifted this week as has been said. And they're doing it without Justise Winslow or Josh Richardson.

For all the talk about Dion Waiters and all that, and his chemistry with Whiteside has been super impressive, as has been his total scoring ability, James Johnson is kind of blowing me away. I liked the guy's highlights and videos and all that when they signed him but I didn't realize the guy could be playing point-forward like he does with the Heat sometimes.

And obviously Rodney McGruder has been superb, as I knew he could be. He's got a good three, good all-around offensive ability, and his energy/speed is amazing. I think it took me basically one day of Summer League to fall in love with McGruder.

Now that said, I find it funny they're facing Brooklyn next because when they beat the Warriors they came back and stunk against the worst team in basketball and somehow managed to pull it out in the second half.

So I'd watch out for this next game, would be pretty ironical for them to lose it.

So what happened with Derrick Williams in Miami? He looked decent enough for Cavs last night - but I'm not pretending one game means anything. He was awful until that stint in NY last year. Was he just awful here for you guys or a roster crunch or what?

He wanted more playing time, but Okaro is better. So Pat released him for he can find a team that can give him the PT he seeked.

I still would have likedto keep derrick but eh, in this system he is expendable. Im sure he will help the Cavs though. Hes not a bad player, Okaro just has the instincts spo is looking for.

So heres a tasty nugget for heat fans....your 12 game winning is the longest win streak ever for a sub 500 team this late in the season.

He looked good in the preseason and I thought he'd be the easy choice to start at the 4, but he just never really found a role in the rotation. There were some things to like, but he never really made the most of his opportunities, and James Johnson ended up being a much better version of Williams, and then they liked the upside Okaro White showed in his two 10 day contracts. I'll give him this, though. He never sulked about being stuck at the end of the bench. He was always one of the guys you saw with positive energy on the bench. I don't know that he'll ever provide a ton of value, but there are much worse ways to go with your last roster spot.

It is easy to have a bad feeling about the second leg of back to back road games on consecutive days. Especially it being the fourth straight road game.

Heat favored by 3.5 is testament to how well they have played over this stretch.

Expected loss, they fought hard in the fourth. This team is scrappy as hell.

Lets take care of the Magic. If we lose to Houston so be it. But lets try to get one more before the break.

I guess there are reports that Miami is after Ibaka, and Barry Jackson threw out a potential Winslow and McRoberts deal for him. If I'm Miami, I have zero interest in trading Winslow for Ibaka even if it gets McRoberts off the books. Winslow still has big time upside, and Ibaka is an impending FA (even though it's fairly likely he'd re-sign I would guess). I'd give up Richardson, hell, I'd give up Tyler Johnson. I'm not giving up what Winslow can be to simply get a shot to keep Ibaka (who I actually think is an excellent fit in Miami).

Yeah I feel the same way too. I'd rather give up Tyler Johnson. His salary balloons the year after next. He could help the Magic more immediately. If they give up Winslow that's losing hope too soon and they would be kicking themselves for not getting Devin Booker. Winslow still has upside. He just hasn't put it altogether yet (imo it's a mental / confidence thing).

You got a shot, Heat fans. This idiot, Ryan Anderson, cut off part of his thumb throwing away trash at home...smh. Dummy had to go to the ER. That probably means more Corey Brewer like the last meeting. Subbing a 40 percent 3-point shooter for a guy that can't make a layup.

So much for trading for Ibaka, but he still should be in play in FA. Bad day for the Cavs as Love is sidelined for 6 weeks and their biggest threat adds a pretty good piece.
