Salguero reporting that Julius Thomas deal was never accurate, Rappoport saying Julius Thomas is still in the mix. We'll probably have to wait and see with this one. My thought is that this might be a two-part trade. Albert for Thomas seemed a little too good to be true, so Phins might have to give up something besides an aging LT if they want the rights to Thomas.
I think we will continue to negotiate with Thomas until free agency starts. If we can come to a deal the trade gets announced as Thomas for Albert, if not, they will cut him and only the albert for a late round pick portion of the deal goes through.
I think it's a done deal unless something very strange happens in the next few weeks. The Jags just cut Odrick too.
Thomas deal done per rapaport. Late pick next year. Good business imo as that's essentially what we are getting for Albert. Fan of this trade, keep sims on team friendly deal and TE no longer a need in the draft. What's not to like?
I was him I'd take a pay cut just so I didn't have to wear the baby ish yellow uniform and look at fat white azzez in the pool anymore. He already knows he looks good in Orange Lots of misinfo going around...They making deals at Mar-a-Lago or something?
We could probably get a decent shape 1975 Chevy El Camino in exchange for Dion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No stone unturned. Love it. Low pick for players, re-structured deals, free agency, draft, shake downs, it is a refreshing to think outside the box G Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hope this means we don't go after a TE in the upper rounds of the draft like I saw one dumbassed mock draft already positing.
Other than paying a TE a lot of money to not be good? Nothing. This move is terrible. Rather go into next year with Simms and Gray. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Your opinion. We don't know the financials on the deal yet and you don't know that he won't be good. I also like Simms and Gray, great depth, but Thomas has proven he is an alpha which Simms isn't, therefore this moves strengthens the position and also means we don't have to draft TE. Good business Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He proved he was an alpha? Where? When? He's been in the league for 6 years and he's had one good season. And that was the year one of the best QBs of all time had one of the greatest seasons in history. A QB that loves to throw to TEs and has constantly in his career made boot leg TEs produce really good numbers. I could of been alpha at TE that year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thomas was traded to us, not a FA, so there is already a deal in place, 7 mil this year, of which 3 mil became guaranteed on 2/10/17, 8.5 next year and 9 mil the following year. He can be cut next year with no dead cap, it wouldn't make sense to push money back in his contract now, if they renegotiate his contract, it should be after this year when we see what he brings to the table.
