Hot Damn, this one has potential. I like how they have it centered around another heroine. Disney is book-ending the franchise. The last movie was the latest installment in the series, this is the earliest prequel. Looks good though, Vader should be in it.
I heard/read a lot of people are upset because it's another female lead but it looks promising to me.
From what I can tell, the description of the people who are upset is overblown by the people who are not upset. Sort of like how there was a claim that people didn't like a black Stormtrooper, yet no one could find these supposed people who hated John Boyega. Trailer looked good, though what the hell is that martial arts instruction for Stormtroopers? And was it just me, or was Darth Vader's breathing in there at the end?
Honestly i think these "Twitter outrages" are one on purpose to draw attention... I wouldnt put it past any company....
It looks good for sure. In making a movie set just before the original trilogy, they faced the interesting challenge of making it look like those movies, but new and cool at the same time, and it looks like they pulled it off. Its so awesome that we're going to get a new Star Wars movie every year for a while
You and I have different tastes in movies, Dupree! I thought that it was excellent. Not an all time favorite, but a really good movie that I enjoyed a lot.
I thought it was mostly pointless fan service and that most scene existed because Star Wars is cool. Probably the best fan film of all time.
https://geektyrant.com/news/lucasfi...ar-wars-episode-ix-after-carrie-fishers-death Lucasfilm is saying that Carrie Fisher's death led to them scrapping what they were doing, and starting over with Episode 9. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

It really sounds like this was the best move for the franchise, and hopefully Ron Howard will do well with the project.
