The guy was a scumbag, absolutely. You can easily say he got what he deserved in the end. Still, not sure any of it is a laughing matter though.
What he did and the carnage he caused to other people's families and his own, is certainly not a laughing matter. A scumbag murderer offing himself, on its own, is pretty funny, to me.
Yeah, I just don't get the humor in it though. It really doesn't change anything. No doubt it's karma coming back around. It's not going to bring back those he took life from, it doesn't change the fact that everything around him failed him in some way in his upbringing, it doesn't change any of the mess he caused including those that may never see the light of day. There's a young girl without a father, not that she needed someone like him in her life anyways and hopefully she gets the help she needs to move forward in a positive way. At least his trail of destruction comes to an end, and that's a good thing, but it's not going to change all the terrible things he's done an been a part of for his family, those who may have still been close to him hoping he could do something positive with his life even from prison, and it's not going to change the lives of those who lost loved ones as a result of his actions. Maybe it will provide a little... redemption, but it's still not going to change the void left in their hearts and lives. I get the reaction though to find "humor" in it, because it's caught up to him I guess, I just don't think it's necessary. Like I said, he was a terrible person, sociopath/psychopath, whatever you want to call him, because I'm sure there's a hundred other things, but it's just not something I think we need a thread to make jokes about. Again, terrible person, terrible circumstances all the way around for all involved, the world is a better place without him in it, I just don't see the need for jokes, even though, in a way I kind of get it. Maybe I'm coming from a different place I guess. Oh well. Don't mind me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and reaction to things.
No bro, it's all good. I have no problem admitting, I'm not a very good person. Though In my defense.....um....there's no defense....I'm just terrible.
I wasn't trying to imply that. I wouldn't say anyone is terrible for that reaction. I get the reaction, and I won't lie, my initial thought was "Well, he got what he deserved in the end" but then I just think, what good did his death last night really do? Nothing really. And I'm sure anyone who wants to laugh/joke about it surely understands the gravity of the entire situation, and just doesn't weigh it as heavily in the grand scheme of things, and that's fine too, because like I said, ultimately, the guy was a scumbag. It's just a shame it got to that point, especially given how many high profile people in his life, especially his football life didn't seem to really care to step in and try and get the guy on track where his own family, or upbringing failed to as well. To me, that's what takes the humor out of it. Of course, everyone has free will and is going to do what they choose to do in the end, it's just a shame that nobody could get him on track, instead it seems everyone was willing to look the other way because he was such a good athlete, and football player that he become untouchable. I don't want to side track this anymore than I already have. You're not terrible man.. Ahh... **** it. Who am I kidding, yes, you are ****ing terrible, but for so many other reasons...
Hahahaha, all of that about me is so true. You're not sidetracking anything. It's actually a good discussion. For me, I think someone who didn't have an NFL career and didn't have millions of legitimately earned dollars and still acted like him is way more tragic. I think his dumbass was just stubborn. I think he was so caught up in "being real" and the bravado and the machismo that he pissed it all way. I don't believe he was a sociopath or anything like that...just a stubborn jack-***. His crimes were all "thug" related. My jokes at the expense of his death, are more about me insulting him then finding humor in the story. Which again, makes me terrible.
Up until he killed himself I would have agreed with you. However, for a person to take their own life, especially as an adult, that person is very, very sick.
I'd agree....if there wasn't the whole life in prison part. Killing yourself instead of serving life in prison, doesn't mean you're sick, it just means you're a coward. Full disclosure: if I got life in prison, I'd totally take the coward's way out too. Rather be dead than be in prison for a significant amount of time.
Millions of people have served a life sentence without killing themselves. You say you'd off yourself, but it takes a special kind of sickness to pull that one off. The highest drive known to man, other than to procreate, is to live.
How clueless, how many days have you woken up in a cage? How many days have you woken up and had to worry about being beaten or raped? How many days have you woken up with no hope? That's before getting into possible regret, which can hit like a mother******, and now you can't even live with yourself. A life not worth living is exactly that, a life not worth living.
For some. For me, being caged and suffering is worse than death. I have no desire to procreate and neither does my wife (commence the rejoicing). We'd both rather die than be incarcerated as well. Some people feel like you do about life and procreation, some people feel like me about those things. Suicide fed by clinical depression is more along the lines of what you're talking about. I don;t think this was that. Of course i don't know for sure.
Hey guys, an entire family is devastated by his suicide. I can't look past the individual or my loyalty to the Dolphins. Isn't that hilarious? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, you are. I've been through tougher **** than isolated protective custody in prison. lol...He wasn't with the regular population. He wasn't in fear of being raped or beaten. He was a ****ing celebrity watching TV and playing video games. Again, taking your life is the ultimate sign of a major screw loose. Other than your post, that is. lol
I'm sure he was clinically depressed. Again, you say that you'd end it, and you might, but I would be highly surprised if you did. Not that I know you, but most people say what you're saying and if/when it came down to it they wouldn't be able to go through with it. The guy was capable of near anything. He snapped and killed people. He most likely snapped again and killed himself. He was a very, very sick person. And I will make jokes all day about his demise. However, I still feel for his family.
dude, are any of your posts positive or supportive of Fins fans? you have serious anger issues. when last were you laid?
He was a bad guy. Killed people then killed himself. I am curious why he went through with the other trial if this was to be the outcome? He's dead and the world's better without him in it. Moving on....
With the Facebook killer offing himself, and now today's news, the world feels like a better place. Rest In Hell Aaron.
