I had no idea the Heat failed to retain Luke Babbitt. He just signed with the Hawks.

I'm bummed. That guy can SHOOT.

I think it would be really tough for him to get minutes. I'd assume Olynyk will take his spot in the rotation, and brings more to the table all-around.

So do I. The Knicks trading picks or KP or Willy Or Ntilikina for any one player is a mistake. They aren't even one player away from being a 5th seed. Not Kyrie or almost anyone else short of someone like KD or Kawhi makes them legitimate with Melo likely getting moved. And since they're too dumb to recognize their own mistakes even when they are blatantly obvious, anything that can prevent them from making them is ok even if it makes a team I don't like better.

In other news Michael Jordan said Kawhi Leonard is the best 2 way player in the game today. I agree. If I were doing a draft of every player in the league and had the #1 pick he's my choice.

My top 5 best players right now, I got:
    1. Kawhi
    2. Durant
    3. Steph
    4. Giannis
    5. Lebron

If possible...I think KP-Kyrie-Ntilikina is a DAMN good group to build around, and they fit together nicely. All young, all good shooters, two of them likely excellent on D, one of them a top-tier scorer. If you can keep/grow that core for a few years, that's got serious potential. Granted, I'm higher on Frank than most...but I would really enjoy watching and following that team.

There's just no minutes for him with Olynyk here now. JJ as primary backup, then Okaro, Bam, Justise also getting some run at PF. Roster's getting tight too. I'd rather lean on the youth/development side as we get to the last couple spots, especially since we paid two vets a bunch of money to play Babbitt's main position.

Dude is a legit elite shooter though, for sure. He'll probably see the floor some with Atlanta while they bring John Collins around. That team is gonna be...bad.

I'd rather build with bigs then guards. Willy has serious upside. And Cleveland is looking to basically gut the Knicks with multiple picks and a young player. So forget that noise.

The T'Wolves owner says he plans to give Andrew Wiggins a max deal soon, and that they are not trading him. If they do give him the max, I believe they aren't allowed to trade him for a while anyway, as that kind of raise is treated similarly to signing a new player if I'm not mistaken. Either way, if this is true, then they are out of the Irving sweepstakes. I never really believed they'd trade Wiggins for him anyway, but this would seal the deal.

I don't like the NBA where Wiggins is a max player at this stage.

I get your point to an extent, but I think this kid is better than people realize. He just has been playing in an NBA wasteland. He's 22, and has a career scoring average of over 20 points per game, though. And he's doing it with a better FG% than John Wall, DeMar DeRozan and Dame Lillard. And he's playing great defense as well.

If only...he's actually a pretty horrible defender. Before he gets his max deal, Glen Taylor (owner) wants to chat with him to make sure he's going to get better...specifically on the defensive end. I won't comment on the silly meeting scenario...but yea, Wiggins hasn't been good on that end which is why Lavine and him would have never worked. Now with Butler, I expect him to get better while also being able to match up against the lesser wing. One can hope anyways.

Admittedly, I haven't watched many T'Wolves games, but I thought that I had heard he was a good defender. After some brief research, it appears that I was wrong, lol. Someone voted him Least Defensive Player of the Year.

    Dudes, I need your help.

I finally cut the cord. No cable. But I want to watch my Pelicans games here at my house in New Orleans. I'm of the understanding that if I buy League Pass I won't get the team in my local market. Is that true? What should I do?

Yeah, you can't watch local games. Someone might be able to give you something better, but I use first row sports to watch streaming games online. The quality isn't always the best, but usually it's fine. Also, there are sometimes a bunch of popups. But you can almost always find a stream through them. There are a few different versions firstrowsports.tv, ifirstrowus.eu, firstrowsports.eu, etc. They are all basically the same.

You can also try the new hulu live tv, they have some local channels, check their listings in your area they might have the channel that airs the pelicans games

You're in the local Pelicans market so I presume one of your local broadcast stations broadcasts the Pelican games?

This is a common thing to overlook so I won't fault you here, but you could probably just go buy an HD antenna and you'd get the local broadcasts that way.

HD antennas are not big or expensive. Here's one. 17 bucks.

Only thing to watch out for is to be sure the TV you're using has a tuner built in (or that would be another expense).

Local broadcasts are on FOX Sports, which is a cable-only thing....I think.

You could try routing your league pass connection through a VPN based outside of the Pelicans's market. You should be able to watch local games that way at the potential expense of another team's games if you route through another market with a team.

Thanks for the responses. The VPN thing seems like the best route.

I need to watch my Pelicans. Especially now that they're getting Melo.

Or you could "borrow" somebody else's cable or directv password and watch on the Fox Sports Go app (you can get it on Roku and Apple TV)

There's actually no proof they met other than Twitter trolls

Kyrie was at UM working out and Riley was there for a speaking engagement. Now, I grant that's a hell of a coincidence but they wouldn't be allowed to meet without Cavs permission and them meeting doesn't guarantee a deal is going down

But of course Riley would pull it off today and steal the Fins thunder
