Good for you owning up to it.

But... I have to say it.. I told you that you were overreacting way too early. :tongue2::tongue2::tongue2:

Sometimes, you just gotta have patience. It was preseason, guys don't try, you dont game plan, you dont call aggressive plays etc. etc.

Still a lot of season left, so things could change as teams continue to adjust to what we've shown, but that's the thing, it's a long haul approach. You can't look at things in a vacuum in this league. The good teams, coaches and players find ways to adjust.

Yeah but who predicted how this season would unfold so far even remotely correctly?

Specifically, is there anyone who went on record saying our defense would be top 3 in points allowed, our run defense would miraculously go from 3rd worst to 4th best, and that our offense would average a league-worst 12.2 ppg?

No one predicted this or anything close to it. And even among naysayers is there anyone who predicted we'd lose to the Jets 20-6 (or any score with 14+ margin), a team that at the time looked like they were gunning for the #1 overall pick in 2018?

Everyone has to eat some crow so far.

Im not buying Miami quite yet. I still think their defense will have to keep holding teams under 20 to have a shot until proven otherwise. In other words, I am hesitant on the phones offense until I see a string of games like the last two with improvement. Remember we got shut out in the first half again

That also surprises me...I was wrong about that too. I thought the offense would be better. But I was very vocal about Burke not being up to the job and the defense being substandard.

As you may recall, I too expressed doubt on Matt Burke's first year as DC...feeling the success of our team was going to rest on his shoulders. I wasn't calling for his firing or criticized him...just hoping he was up for the challenge.

I dont think any of us though imagined the offense being so inept this season and the defense the beacon of our team thus far.

Nobody predicted that in late October the Jets would be in first place in the AFC East and the patriots in last, but we are an Austin Sefarian-Jenkins TD away from that scenario. In other words, it happened, it just didn't get called that way. Things tough to predict, so nobody should feel silly about making wrong predictions. What I find funnier than crow-eating people are the people who predict 20 things and pat themselves on the back when they are right about 3 of them.

I think the frustration (and I think it should still exist), is how far behind they are still. Gase wouldn't admit it during week 1, that they were behind. In addition, I think we fell in love with Camp, and from Day 1, Cutler was slingin it, combined having Grant and Carroo catching TD's, so we envisioned this revolutionary offense. After Game 1, it seemed Rivers was completing pass after pass, and then we got dogged by the NYJ and Saints. Even though the defense was allowing yards, the points after 3 games didn't go above 20. The last two games shows potential, we just have to hope for improvement

Im all in for various reason...we win 10 games...dfense may be elite..their close right now...qb should of had a grace period like last year...ayayi running into shape and becoming a threat..Parker getting healthy...team unified amidst outside distraction...dangerous.

I would think at this point that most younger Dolphins fans are born with DNA that allows them to see potential and hope for improvement.
For those who were born before the dark times, our DNA has mutated to always hope based on potential as well.

Only if that Td occurred in the last seconds.

But really, had that TD counted, as it should have, the Jests would have been trailing the Pats by three points, and with 8 minutes to play still. Pats would still find a way to win especially with the greater sense of urgency in the event said Td counted.

You are not a dumbass, a dumbass wouldn't have the guts to come back and admit he was wrong. I remember going back and forth with you in the Joe Vitt thread about the issue. It never was heated or out of control, just two different opinions and different points of view, exactly what this site is all about. None of us are right all the time, and I am not ashamed to say I come here and learn all the time from things the other members post. Kudos for standing up for your position and owning it when it did't pan out your way.
