That is why I'm getting in all my jabs early, lol. By the way, watching Andre Roberson airball those 2 free throws back-to-back was truly hilarious.
Its only been 3-4 games but with that said... This is 2017 not 2010... what did they expect out of him lol he isnt that guy anymore. The only reason to bring him back to miami was for sentimental reasons but riley and spo were on point of making him into a bench player had he decided to return. Hell i wouldnt even use him as a sixth man. His entire career has been about his ridiculous high efficiency and that has dropped off drastically the past 3 seasons. Not to mention everything else has dropped down- his finishing, midrange game, turnovers are high. Its the end of the road sad to say.
Whats surprising to me is that, he didnt pull a Roger Clemens. Youre making minimum salary, might as well have signed before the all star break. Wade has dreaded the 82 game season for years now. Had he waited midseason, perhaps he would be a lot more refreshed, and his energy wouldnt be so low. The guys body has taken a beating like no other, his knees, that shoulder he had operated. The countless bumps at the rim. Hes finished.
Wade has another 2 yrs left in him. He chose the wrong team and the wrong role. He should be doing exactly what NeNe is doing for the Rockets. Everyone thought he was done...now whenever he plays, he is fresh and dominating younger centers. Play about 55 games per year. Average about 20 minutes per game. When he's in the game, feed him the ball. He'll be fresh in the playoffs. You saw how NeNe was dominating before he got hurt during playoffs.
I said last year, Wade's best fit at this point of his career is a Manu-type role. I don't know how content he'd be with that, though.
That would be best. But the Cavs already have 5 guards that should see minutes (Rose, IT, JR, Korver, and Shump). There was really no need for Wade. He would have been better off going to OKC. Their current shooting guard can't even hit the rim or backboard on his free throws. Wade would have been a perfect 7th man for them.
The Knicks inquired about Bledsoe, were asked about Ntilikina and willy hernangomez and apparently NYK hung up, thank goodness...per espns ian bagley who covers nyk
Would you guys trade Whiteside for a shooter? Le Batard brought up the point on Friday about how the Hassan Whiteside types are a dying breed in the NBA. Could we get by with Olynyk, Johnson and Mickey alternating at center?
For me it would depend who the shooter was. Hassan's type might be a dying breed in the NBA, but it's cyclical, so who knows when that might be en vogue again. I think Whiteside might be the Heat's biggest x factor in playing the best teams in the league, though. He is such a disruptive force in the middle on both offense and defense. I also think he's finally starting to get it from a mentality standpoint. Plus, dying breed or not, it's always nice to have someone on your team that can do things that almost no other player in the league can. That being said, if you can get a young star for him, you'd have to think about it.
Anything short of a two-way wing and I don't move Whiteside. I've brought up the idea of trading him multiple times, but at the end of the day, you can't just give him away. I can't really think of anyone potentially available that fits and I also think we'd probably want to move Waiters at the same time. Anyone we trade Whiteside for has to be a starter and paying Waiters that much money to split time isn't a good use of resources IMO. Richardson does too much defensively to walk away from so Waiters is the odd man out. Then you have to wonder about additional compensation like a draft pick, but any team investing in Whiteside is a team that thinks it's a contender, and probably won't be willing to give up the kind of compensation that makes sense short of having an unhappy star player. Thankfully, this team is fun as hell to watch and root for. They just need to stop failing on draft night.
Eric Gordon was the only Rocket to show up. He almost won it by himself. He gave the Rockets a 10 point lead in the 4th....sat down for a break....and everything went to hell. Too bad no one else came to play. 1000 missed free throws. 1000 missed threes. Pathetic 3-1
Richardson had been showing off an incredible improvement in his aggressiveness to the basket during the preseason. It got me all excited. But I hadn't seen it this year...until late last night. Came in with a vengeance. He needs to do that a lot more.
Pretty pathetic and a bad look for the league that they let their little darling Curry get away with throwing his mouthpiece yet again. Keep picking and choosing.
The hell is going on in Orlando? Cleveland gave up 112 to Chicago somehow. Minnesota suffering from a game winner hangover? Oladipo and Sabonis with a strong game. Vic looking like a late bloomer; not a superstar, but at least a lottery pick.
I think next year, Boston becomes a real threat and more likely than not to come out of the east. They're getting a real good look at what Jaylen Brown can do and will get Hayward back along with the maturation of Tatum.
Bad narrative. The last few years there's been but a handful of payers who threw mouthpieces aside from Curry. Boogie got fined 25k. Curry got fined 50K for his 2nd offense...max allowed by CBA. Curry has some hot head moments and admittedly I'm not a huge fan but he's still not the whiny snot Lebron is.
CP3 out another 2-3 weeks. Ariza out 1 week. (he is averaging 5 ppg on 20% shooting, so this really isn't a loss) NeNe out possibly 1 week. Ryan Anderson is talking about his back is hurting. Man, my team is falling apart. Isaiah Cannan just signed (a favorite of mine from his old Rocket days). Hopefully he can give Harden and Gordon some rest. This may be a rough few weeks unless Harden goes into beast mode. Damn.
Idk, Curry acted like a little ***** on that play. It was cringe worthy. I’m getting tired of all the crying about no calls when it prevents the player from getting back on defense. Yell at the ref while running back on D or something.
Threw it at a ref and a repeat offender? Nope anyone else does that and they lose a game minimum. And his personality is something none of us really know, I think he is as fake as they come and plays to the cameras. As a man he likely isn't a tenth of what Lebron is off the court.
Troll = make Boik mad by pointing out his terrible evaluation of Willy the worthless Knick. I was hoping you were right, but ya wasn't .8-74 here we come
You're obviously a troll if you try to convince someone who lives in The Bahamas that Ohio is a good place to live.
HAHA. Not sure those 2 are comparable...cept hurricanes n things. Cleveland is a dump, but Columbus (where I live) is one of the best cities to live, in the country. I travel all too often for work and certainly have realized that Cbus, is better than most. See ya when you get here!
