Can we pause to marvel at how Westbrook didn't deserve the MVP award putting up video game numbers with nobody, yet Harden can't be expected to drag scrubs? Also, apparently Eric Gordon, Lou Williams, Clint Capela, Nene, Patrick Beverly, and Trevor Ariza are scrubs.
Dude. The Westbrook defensive lapses were hilarious. Harden-esque!!! Seriously though. AD is playing out of his mind but even this Pels homer knows Harden is the MVP. For now.......
Ill gladly take two of those scrubs and trade all of Mark Blount, Yakouba Diawara, Ricky Davis, marcus banks, luther head, jamaal magloire and jamario moon and we would easily have 15 more wins on Wade’s comeback year right after the Olympics
Y'all are having a premature argument. Harden is certainly not had the career Wade has.......YET. Dude is still very young and playing at a MVP level every year, so its not unreasonable to think he may pass him up 10 years from now.
Not unless he learns how to play defense. I also think you're hoping the Rockets are better than the Warriors here to the detriment of reality. Houston is definitely better than the Cleveland team that beat GSW, but GSW is better than that GSW team as well. Not to mention Pachulia is going to be gunning for either Paul or Harden.
I am not sure why you think that scrub, Harden, is going to even get remotely close to an MVP. He is absolutely horrible. My money is on either Kawhi, Westbrick, Luc Longley, or Popeye Jones. AD might finish 5th to them.
Is this the question you keep crying about not being answered? You know the answer. You're comparing him to Jordan now?
I'll just throw this out there for a pretty good snapshot of the leagues fans consensus for all teams on this debate that was posed a few weeks ago. Unanimously Wade is considered better. I'm sure you have some advanced metric everyone else is missing.
Still waiting on those answers. And, yes...I just compared Harden to Jordan, Kobe, and Wade when they didn't have another all star playing with them. What did they win when they didn't have an all star teammate? Again, I will wait.
Not sure what this is, but you're comparing a guy who has finished his prime with a guy that is only halfway thru his. How does this make sense?
I didnt read it, but I have already posted Harden's postseason numbers. I watched every Rockets game. I commented on the Spurs series on here directly after the game about my thoughts. (They are still on that thread) What more will the article tell me?
Dwight Howard's numbers in Houston are very similar to Shaq's in Miami. Shaq averaged 17 and 7 in 06. Howard's best season in Houston saw him average 18 and 12. Howard also retained much more athleticism in Houston than Shaq did in Miami. You need to stop this madness. Harden had a GOOD team with two of the best scorers in the NBA last season and folded like a tent in a hurricane. He has had big moment issues his whole career. Westbrook went down fighting in 2011. Garden folded up as the third option on the team. He shot 37.5% from the field, 31.8% from 3, and wasn't even being asked to carry anyone anywhere. Your argument is fake news considering the Spurs didn't even have Kawhi when they sent Houston home.
Autocorrect says his name is James Garden. Pretty to look at but delicate and easily uprooted. Makes sense to me. He could turn it around and kill in these playoffs. He's an all-time great for sure on the back of his scoring ability, but until he does more with it, he's a better Carmelo.
Harden's issue in the MVP and all-time talk is the perception of his play style. People think he benefits from this gimmicky offense that's just a hack of the system. They don't think this 'phony' kind of offense can work in the playoffs...which is why the conversation about Harden turns to the postseason and why the bar seems higher for him in those games. His numbers are perceived as more fake or fraudulent because of how he and the Rockets play. That may change as the more of the League starts playing like Houston, but for now I think that's why he doesn't get the due that his production seems to deserve. IMO prime Wade was a two-way force in a way that Harden has never been. We're also on a mostly HEAT message board, dude...what'd you expect?
I don't mind being on an NBA board with mostly Heat fans. You guys should know that by now, lol. I get a good laugh most of the time. Been here 4 years...still reppin'.
I give them props. They are the only reason why the Rockets win streak isn't 22-0. Boogie killed himself in order to win by 2 points. A 2 point loss...I have not forgotten.
We have some guys 27+ that aren't getting any better. The Sixers are just scratching their potential.
Something about Wade’s return has given Justise Winslow a different kind of confidence he has never plyed with before. He is a different player ever since we got Wade.
I leave this thread for a few days and now we are debating Wade vs Harden? Ffs. Wade. Not even close. And he did most of his damage in an era that allowed players to foul and play actual defense.
Poor lil' fella thought I would be mad. Raptors and Blazers both made me money tonight. Both the Rockets and Warriors were due for losses with the crazy scheduling, especially against quality teams. Hell, I thought the Rockets should have been blown out....3rd away game in 4 nights (all against playoff teams). Surprised Harden had enough energy left to drop 40. Best record in the NBA....still Houston.
Bro don’t front, you’re mad af the rockets lost. Especially with how close the 1 seed race is. What did you you take tonight that you won on the raps and blazers?
They officially have blown their proverbial load. Back to the perpetual disappointment that Houston is down the stretch and into the playoffs.
