So I've done quite a few of these already and honestly the best scenario I think is a trade down. Unless a quarterback falls and that's a guy you think can be the future. Otherwise, this draft seems so rich in talent at positions of need for us, that acquiring another second or even third could be massive. I could easily see us taking two tight ends at some point, and that's without talking one in the first. I'm curious if anybody else had played with these yet? And what your opinion on what we should do is? This year's draft could be a huge turning point for this franchise I think.
That's the one I have been messing with. Wish I didn't have to purchase some premium package to do the trade down scenario.

I think the last two drafts indicate the turning point was bringing in Gase as HC. Since then we have had two good, solid drafts and are beginning to see those players on the field. I expect this next draft to be just as good, but by now we will be experiencing the results of the last two drafts in combination with the cuts and FA trades we have made so far. I agree that this draft is rich in talent at our positions of need. This should be icing on the cake if we are as consistent and foccused as we were during the last two drafts.
Na, called DraftSpeak. Only the elite of the elite get an invite to draft here. I'll PM you my private password. I'm joking. I ****ed up the name.
That Fanspeak is a great laugh, tried it 3 separate times and Darnold dropped in 2 of them. Having no knowledge of who's who after the big names is making this a good teaching experience. So here are my 2 attempts which probably equal the worst predictions in the history of football. 11: R1P11 DL VITA VEA QB SAM DARNOLD WASHINGTON USC 42: R2P10 G WILLIAM HERNANDEZ C JAMES DANIELS UTEP IOWA 73: R3P9 TE DALLAS GOEDERT TE HAYDEN HURST SOUTH DAKOTA STATE SOUTH CAROLINA 123: R4P23 CB TARVARUS MCFADDEN RB BO SCARBROUGH FLORIDA STATE ALABAMA 131: R4P31 RB RASHAAD PENNY S JORDAN WHITEHEAD SAN DIEGO STATE PITTSBURGH 209: R6P35 QB KURT BENKERT EDGE JOHN FRANKLIN VIRGINIA STEPHEN F. Apart from the double down on TE, where I would look to draft a centre instead in 3, me like the look of that draft. Good work.
Thanks. My thoughts were we need the two best productive, big TEs in the draft to balance out all these small receivers we have. Also, drafting a QB with 4.3 speed will help balance out any offensive line weaknesses. I welcome any defense to continually blitz Lamar with those two TEs and the speed we have at WR and RB. Good luck.

Jackson is terribly inaccurate. And that's in college where WRs are always open. Hes going to struggle in the NFL. RGIII all over, im afraid.
Tannehill completed 61.6 percent of his passes his last year in college with a passer rating of 133.2 Jackson completed 59.1 percent of his passes last year with a passer rating of 146.6 The difference of 2.5 percent in completion percentage doesn't scare me...especially when you factor over 12% of Lamar's targets were dropped by the recievers last year.
Not the worst idea by any means, but I can’t see us drafting 2 TEs, as I think the FO are high on the dude we got from Denver last year (sorry forgot his name) but I do expect us to go hard at TE in 2. I’m increasingly coming round to the idea of drafting Jackson. And I’m fine with it. The boy has talent, is exciting and a playmaker. Sure he has some weaknesses, but I think we trade back and get him late 1st or 2nd.
Yeah. I'd be happy with Jackson, Gesicki, Griffin and even Scarborough at a push. Even happier if you could squeeze in Vita Vea somewhere...
I'm currently enjoying doing this where I ignore what we need and just draft the highest player left on the board, sometimes it means you end up doubling up in some positions depending on how they fall but this is how my latest attempt ended up. 11: R1P11 DL VITA VEA WASHINGTON 42: R2P10 DL TAVEN BRYAN FLORIDA 73: R3P9 TE DALLAS GOEDERT SOUTH DAKOTA STATE 123: R4P23 CB NICK NELSON WISCONSIN 131: R4P31 QB KURT BENKERT VIRGINIA 209: R6P35 LB TEGRAY SCALES INDIANA 227: R7P9 LB JASON CABINDA PENN STATE 229: R7P11 WR BYRON PRINGLE KANSAS STATE
With everyone proclaiming that we are in a great need of a LB why are you not drafting one until the 227 pick? Why are you drafting a C when Miami already has two Cs?
Well, Vea definitely wasn't the highest graded at your #11 pick- some don't have him in the first round while others see him going in the teens.
11: R1P11 LB TREMAINE EDMUNDS VIRGINIA TECH 42: R2P10 DL HARRISON PHILLIPS STANFORD 73: R3P9 TE MARK ANDREWS OKLAHOMA 123: R4P23 QB MIKE WHITE WESTERN KENTUCKY 131: R4P31 RB KALEN BALLAGE ARIZONA STATE 209: R6P35 WR ANTONIO CALLAWAY FLORIDA 227: R7P9 OT GREG SENAT WAGNER 229: R7P11 LB CHRIS WORLEY OHIO STATE Since we are doing simulations. Only thing i would change is Phillips in the second but he is a solid overall pick to help in the trenches. We can get a decent DT in the later rounds but, i went with him because he is a technician. Callaway is my sleeper.... solid WR with off the field issues that would scare some teams away. 7th round picks are projects.
I would LOVE this draft, with one exception. If Bo Scarbrough is available at #123, I'd prefer him over the QB. I think there will be a quality RB avail in rd 4. But Tim Settle is probably my favorite DL in this draft. He's the closest thing to Vince Wilfork that I have seen in terms of size and quickness. He plays with great leverage. When he's blocked, he uses the OL as a projectile to throw at the RB or QB. I am not near trained enough to know if his "style" fits ours...but just watching him eat up blockers, destroy running lanes, and put serious pressure on QBs is eye popping. Two players jump out when watching VT defense...#49 and #4. In this draft, they would be our first two picks. I would like it very much.
Most of these would be great drafts! But can’t see any chance that either Payne or Bryan go in RD2. I have to believe that we will choose one of: Vea, Payne, Smith, Edmunds or James. My brain says Smith, not because I think he is the best - but because McMillan is a question mark coming off of knee surgery ....
I didn't explain myself properly, I was using the board on the site for the decision. So Vea was the highest player left on the board according to the site so I took him. The picks had nothing to do with ability.
Had the most unrealistic simulation just now: 11: R1P11 QB BAKER MAYFIELD OKLAHOMA 42: R2P10 DL DA'RON PAYNE ALABAMA 73: R3P9 TE MARK ANDREWS OKLAHOMA 123: R4P23 RB JOHN KELLY TENNESSEE 131: R4P31 CB TARVARUS MCFADDEN FLORIDA STATE 209: R6P35 LB OREN BURKS VANDERBILT 227: R7P9 S GODWIN IGWEBUIKE NORTHWESTERN 229: R7P11 WR JESTER WEAH PITTSBURGH
