It’s draft time. One of the few enjoyable times of a Dolphins fans year. Who is your top 3 choices assuming no trades? Me? 1.) Derwin James 2.) Tremaine Edmunds 3.) Denzel Ward As you can see I want a back 7 player and a guy that can help our lack of intermediate coverage team.
Dang, not the most realistic but ... 1: Rosen 2: James 3: Smith 3b for Edmunds. I could live with Vea, I like Ward and Jackson at CB. Minkah is both intriguing yet terrifying.
Two guys that could help Miami actually cover a TE!! Tremaine Edmunds Derwin James We'd need to scheme a bit more to keep blockers off of him, but when free to run and pursue he is a playmaker. Roquan Smith If these guys are already gone, try and trade down a few spots and get Vander Esch. Maybe the Cardinals want to jump over the Bills (if they can't trade up and stay at #12) to get Lamar Jackson. Or the Chargers or Ravens want a QB to develop for a year or two.
Would make sense...no secret what we are lacking. Coverage backers are becoming a luxury item in today’s league.
Yeah. If they did go Edmunds in the first, it would be cool if Rudolph fell to our 2nd pick, though doubtful
Staying Put: 1. Tremaine Edmunds 2. Roquon Smith 3. Minkah Fitzpatrick Trading Up: 1. Josh Rosen 2. Quenton Nelson 3. Denzel Ward Trading Down: 1. Jaire Alexander 2. Maurice Hurst 3. Leighton Vander Esch By the way, I had a dream last night that Miami jumped up in the draft to acquire Tremaine Edmunds. Notably, I dreamt last year that the team picked Charles Harris...
This but with Rosen and Jackson swapping places and Allen replacing Jackson. I just think that we need to draft a franchise QB and this is the draft to do it. I'd be happy with any of the top 5 to be honest.
No trade Minkah Edmunds Trade up Josh Allen Saquon Barkley Bradley chubb Trade down Taven Bryan Leighton Vander esch
Since I believe the Dolphins are at least three years away from being a legitimate playoff contender, I think they should do whatever is necessary to select one of the top four QB’s in this years class with their first round pick. Tannehill will be long gone by the time the Dolphins have enough talent to contend for the SB, so they might as well pick a QB now and start preparing for the future. They should also trade Tannehill while he still has some value. They should be able to get at least a third or fourth round pick for him at this time.
I have no idea about josh Rosen’s medical that’s up to Miami’s medical staff that usc tape though screams I should be a consideration for the #1 pick and I like the pre snap and progression read fit so... 1. Josh Rosen 2. Derwin James 3. Tremaine Edmunds
If we pick at 11: I'll be happy with any of the following - Saquon Barkley Quenton Nelson Bradley Chubb Roquan Smith Minkah Fitzpatrick Derwin James Sam Darnold Tremaine Edmunds Josh Rosen Baker Mayfield Denzel Ward Lamar Jackson Really don't have a top 3 at 11, I'd prefer a trade down.
I dont have a link, but pretty safe to say Josh Allen will be slipping some... Would imo, be the PERFECT guy to develop behind RT.
I was just listening to it on ESPN. I believe his quotes were "If it ain't white...it ain't right. Time to show these n####s." Here's more... https://www.yahoo.com/amphtml/sport...raft-024847843.html?__twitter_impression=true
Barring any trades I see the picks before us going as follows: #1 - Josh Allen, Browns: he's my least favorite of the top four QB prospects. When someone completes a 56% of their passes it is a concern. With that said he does possess a huge frame and big arm, and he's pretty athletic as well. #2 Saquon Barkley, Giants: they could go quarterback or add a pass rusher here, but I suspect they will try to 'win now' in Eli's final years and the best pick to help them do that is a stud running back like Barkley. #3 Baker Mayfield, Jets: he seems a good fit with the Jets in terms of skill set and personality. #4 Bradley Chubb, Browns: this kid paired with Myles Garrett would give them an enviable pass rushing duo. #5 Sam Darnold, Broncos: Case Keenum is a bridge quarterback. Some might view his former head coaches' assessment as harsh, but I totally agree with Mike Zimmer in that no one knows which is the real Case Keenum, the Vikings 2017 player or the 2016 Rams. They do have other needs but their next franchise quarterback should be top of that list and Darnold fits the bill nicely. #6 Minkah Fitzpatrick, Colts: pair him with Malik Hooker (FS) and they will have one of the best young safety duos in the league. #7 Derwin James, Buccaneers: they need to upgrade their secondary and this kid is one of the best prospects in the draft. They could be tempted by Nelson with him still being on the board, but I think they'll go with James. #8 Quenton Nelson, Bears: best guard in this year's draft and has the potential to be a Zack Martin caliber player. He'd also give the Bears a very strong interior O-Line. #9 Roquan Smith, 49ers: I was tempted to go for a tackle here because Staley is 34 years old and their right tackle is coming off an injury, but I think adding another stud linebacker is a sensible move for them. It gives them protection if Foster flames out due to off field issues, but if he doesn't and he stays out of trouble from here on, they will possess another stud duo similar to the combination they had in Bowman and Willis. #10 Mike McGlinchey, Raiders: this pick gives them their new right tackle and future left tackle. So that brings us to the Dolphins and my top three picks from the players that are left... #1 Tremaine Edmunds, is a really talented player with a ton of upside. We clearly need to upgrade our linebackers and he would be an instant upgrade to that unit. #2 Vita Vea, another really talented player with a ton of upside. He would upgrade our tackle position and be an ideal replacement for Suh. #3 Josh Rosen, my favorite quarterback prospect in this year's class. I think we could do worse than draft him and let him sit a year or two on the bench. We could even try to sell Tannehill at some point to a quarterback needy team.
That sketch always reminds me of an old spoof sports annual that I used to have. Some of the names I remember from there are – West Indian cricketers; Shawshank Redemption Oswestry Bypass (it’s a road in England) Eastern European footballers Dozshee Succimov Mild Panic Ivor Funnyic Sri Lankan cricketer Amah Singh Inindaraynahgane A-hem.. anyway back to topic…
Two ways they disappoint me tonight is if one of the top 4 QB's fall to 11th and we don't pick em or if we trade up and give up 2-3 1st rnd picks for a QB. Stay where we're at and grab a QB if is there or the best defensive player on the board.
I don't think it would take multiple 1st to move up. But I agree, don't give up the farm with all this elite defensive talent on the board that can be had at #11.
Some dumb stuff to be sure, but it was years ago early in high school. Unless he has said/done something concerning recently, I don't think it will be an issue.
The ain't white comment was broadcasted on national TV (NBC i think) why wasn't it an issue then and reciting rap lyrics is hardly racist. The media eats this stuff up man, poor kid is getting crucified for something he tweeted as a pubescent teen. We all did and said dumb stuff as teens.
Here's a thought What if the Bills trade up too and they and the Jets grab stud QB's that turn out to be amazing(fat chance). Are you prepared for two teams in our division with baller QB's. Patriots all over again for 10+ years and we are so close to being done with Tom Brady LOL
The only QB I could get behind us drafting in the first three rounds. He'll either be the next Dan Marino or Ryan Leaf. It' s worth the roll of the dice
you could say the opposite though, what if they both blow their first round picks whilst we pick up a QB in the third who turns into a multi time MVP?
